Another really good look at Dimmingsdale, I like seeing it as your go to location for these vids as most other uploaders based in the staffordshire area tend to use cannock as their common go to location which can be tiresome to keep watching after awhile :) shame about the weather though lol, those conditions looked horrendous, wet/muddy leaves are basically as bad as ice on a bike so.... yea, great video as always and the music for the exploration section and the intro/outro was all spot on as well :-)
Jonnybear84 , thanks mate, I love Dimmingsdale and although I’ve covered it a lot we always find something different to film, lots to explore there and I’m sure there’s more to find still, not seen it this muddy for a long time, thanks for your support, truly appreciated 😁👍🏻
Nice 1 Gibby, a bit of bike and hike in there. The Boardman is a solid bike and it takes time for brakes to bed in. It looked sketchy for sure! Could see your buddy's back tyre on those roots lol. Like from me mate. 👍🚲🍻
09:10 that trail looked like you guys were the first to ever ride it . Soo many leaves making it super slippy . Well done bruv for sending it down. Never been there I might go check it out but it looked like hard work pedalling up . Great edit Gib , the videos are getting better and better . Goodie
Jusdrug , thanks mate, your support is awesome, there’s plenty to find there, I’m still finding new stuff all the time, you should go, plenty to suit all types of riding 😁👍🏻
I think we'll all be going to explore Dimmingsdale, you'll wish you kept it secret😂. Nice ride btw🙌 oh and I like the trump noises.....was it you or the bike?
MTB Stuff , thanks mate, it felt good on the Boardman, probably my last ever ride on it as I’m selling it 😁 it actually a full suspension, it’s at the top of the frame although you’re right, it is a good time to ride a hardtail 😁👍🏻
@@HallMarc_Trails yes, I think I wrote that a bit wrong, I was saying it would be fun on a hardtail, haha, my bad!! Thoroughly enjoyed that video, and I hope you get a good price for the boardman!
Glad you had a backup bike to ride. Are pads hard to come by for your Orange? I think if I was going that fast down wet trails, I would be sliding all over the place.
Staying Active R A Warrior , thanks mate, keeping the Boardman has certainly served its purpose, brake pads are easy enough to get but had to wait until I had chance to go get them which wasn’t until after that weekend, I didn’t realise they needed replacing until I checked them a day before the ride, I assumed it was just sand causing the horrible noise, glad I checked them, all sorted now though 😁👍🏻
Good vid once again👍. Wouldn't be mountain biking if you didn't get wet and muddy, adds to the fun of it. Dimmingsdale looks a good place to go though👍
I can feel your pain on this one...Even though it sounded like you were hating it early on, I still enjoyed watching you guys poke around amongst the rocks near the top at 6:54 birdbox and 7:20. Was that the edge of a private property? It was hard to tell if that was the edge of an open field or a view from a hilltop. Looked like some stone walls were built there along the edge. Nice mucky fun DH run at 9:20 Are you sure that's not you or Bob farting at 11:20 ... is it really the air shock? Why are all those garages at 14:44? It's odd they are not beside homes. You may be better off you aren't subjecting the Orange to all that muck that will certainly contaminate your suspension and pivot points.Di you drop down from 4k to 1440p (that's all I saw on TH-cam) so you could increase your frames/sec?
biketothetop , it was great poking around them rocks, love a spot of exploring, as far as I’m aware the edge is of farmers land, there’s a lot of history surrounding those stone walls and there scattered throughout Dimmingsdale , the downhills were very slippy and sketchy in places, ye, me and bob just couldn’t stop farting haha 😂 the sag was too slack and was catching my rear tyre over the bumps due to losing air, I need a new inner valve(hopefully) the garages belong to a row of houses (terrace houses) where there’s no room for a garage so they have a separate place for them which is quite common in the uk for this kind of housing arrangement, it’s certainly a shame to subject the orange to the horrible conditions that we will be facing over the coming months but I don’t think I have much choice as the Boardman is going soon, as for my resolution/FPS I used to film in 1080p 60 FPS, but 30 FPS is apparently more realistic as it’s similar to the human eye but at 1080p you lose quality which is why I now film in 1440p instead to maintain the high quality, my GoPro can’t handle 4K with stabilisation on so 1440 is the next best option, thanks for the very thorough analysis it’s greatly appreciated, I always look forward to reading your comment 😁👍🏻👌
@@HallMarc_Trails I hadn't heard about the human eye and 30 fps. I've got the GoPro H4B, but I record in 4K at 30 fps with no stabilization. I've notice when I slo-mo stuff i seems the 30 fps may be inadequate because there is some blur-like (smearing-look) result. I assume it's related to the 30fps, so the only way around this would be to use 1440 at 60fps (I assume the 60fps is available at this level), but I want to use the 4K to get best image because most videos I make don't include slo-mo.
I use slo mo at 30 fps with no issues as long as i don't go below 40% so i'm assuming the 4k causes the blurring, 30 fps is so much better for riding, usually when i'm riding fast everything is a blur apart from whats in front but when you film in 60fps you see everything in more detail which slows the footage down, 30fps blurs the sides giving the effect you're going faster and closer to how fast it felt at the time if you know what i mean, maybe it's just my opinion but i always feel my footage looks slower than i remember it being at 60fps, personal preference i think
Quality video mate! Just got into mountain biking with the other half, went to dimmingsdale after watching your vids but struggled to find any other good sections off the main dog walkers path. Any advice on where to head to? Keep up the good vids, nice one
Jordan Mountford , thanks mate, appreciate your support, there’s so much at dimmingsdale but local knowledge is a must to find the good stuff, I have routes of my dimmingsdale rides on my Strava if you fancy taking a look at that, there’s quite a bit up from the old railway line to the side of it, just look for an opening and push up or head up towards the old youth hostel, plenty around there too, hope this helps 😁👍🏻
No worries at all, much appreciated on the info! We will have to get up there at the weekend to explore. Just downloaded strava, tried searching your TH-cam name but no joy, is it something different on there? Thanks again

I've said it before Mate Dimmingsdale looks great fun, even more so in the slop! Great job. 👍
Mark Collingwood , yes it’s certainly a challenge, you will have to come take a look one weekend, thanks mate 😁👍🏻
Heck yeah! We've had a lot of rain here. Still gotta get out and ride. Great vid always great screnery.
MTB Thru my eyez , thanks mate, you can’t beat a wet ride every now and then 😁👍🏻
Love chin mount footage. I'm using it all the time now. I see you have also had the rain. Mud n mush 👍👌🤘

TWO WHEEL FIX , thanks mate, it was a typical winter ride, I had almost forgot what they were like haha 😂
@@HallMarc_Trails haha you did good mate, it tough not being able to see trail for the leaves never mind the mud and wet roots. Enjoyed watching 👍

Fun little adventure!
Thanks mate :)
Bringing out the old school bike!
Yes, hopefully won't be a regular thing haha :)

No Second Season , thanks, I can’t take the credit for the trump noises haha😂 it was my rear shock leaking air causing the frame to hit the tyre 😁
😂 whooppee damper
