Almost 34 and still waiting for the one. It's not easy waiting and God's timing is a little different than our timing (I'm still learning that as I am a Christian on the Autism spectrum who is a child of divorced parents who cheated on each other, dad was abusive and had anger issues, mom had depression) but I hope God has someone for me soon.
I find this story filled with more hope and peace than some Christian books I’ve seen on finding the right one such as “I Kissed Dating Goodbye” and “When God Writes Your Love Story”. Those books make the assumption that you’re supposed to find the right one in your early 20’s but gives no hope to older singles. My Christian Aunt was 56 when she married for the first time and had a very happy marriage. There’s no formula for “the right time” or “the right age”. I’m glad there’s stories like Wendy’s that give hope and peace to those who might have more life under their belt before finding the right one.
Today, while driving home from work, I asked the Lord if marriage was meant for me or if I might just live for you. I have been waiting for 18 years and will be turning 52 next month, which gives me hope.
Single due to elderly parent caregiving and dead end job. Hopefully God will still be patient enough to send me someone after all those responsibilities are over despite my age by that time.
I read Your a Prize...Read it 3 times & passed it on to a friend. I met a very attractive brother 2 months ago. At the market! Strong Christian, single and abstinent too. He seems to be quite taken with me. We are friends now. Taking it slow. Pray for us. I have great peace with him. I love his spirit and he loves mine too. Pray if we should court & marry.
It is the jaded naysayers that can be a problem to one's faith and hope. I am over 70 years and still single. ,do not ever just want anyone, someone special.
It is soooo easy for attractive adults who share the same values to find someone. For people like Wendy, men are throwing themselves at her. Not so much with your average bloke in the church. I'm not on any lady's recommendation list for someone.
Hamas is calling for an uprising against the Jews tomorrow (Friday the 13th). Can this be a repeat of Ester 3:12 where Haman called for the destruction of the Jews (also on Friday the 13th). May the Jews have the victory as they did in the book of Ester.
She cannot guarantee that a person is going to get married just because they want to. Saying it’s your turn sounds nice, but there’s no guarantee. I think it sets people up for disappointment when we claim a message from God that is nowhere to be found in scripture.
You all need to stop selling snake oil. Waiting isn't the recipe to receive what you believe is God's promise when it isn't. People should make sure whether there is God's promise first before jumping into discussing whether waiting is required.

Sounds like a very practical book on finding the one. GOD has to prepare us for marriage. And even teach us in the whole journey.

That’s not true. The majority of people are “average” but yet they are also married. Looks have very little to do with whether someone is married.
