I actually think they handled Grant perfectly. They convinced Grant that they were ignorant about Scientology, when in reality they were clearly playing dumb and trolling him. Had they been more confrontational/direct about these topics, he probably would have simply walked off. I used to hate Logan, but I actually really respect the obvious changes he’s made. You can tell it’s more than just “let me clear my image up to the public real quick.” It’s more of a guy who too some steps back & re-evaluated himself to grow up, and humble himself a bit. It wasn't until after church leaders formally denounced polygamy that the Mormons were allowed to admit Utah into the U.S. as a fully incorporated state.

The weird thing about being a parent is that you never want your kid to get hurt, but it cuts you to the core to admit to them that you were pulled into a High Control Group. Im definitely not a fan of Logans podcast, but these guys handled this guest perfectly. Absolutely brilliant trolling he didn't even understand what was happening. I don't think I've ever trusted a human less than I trust this guy. He oozes dishonesty with every word he utters.

Thank you for the work that you do Aaron. My parents were involved in a cult-like group for a few years and it broke our relationship. Luckily they are out now but I don’t know for sure because they are not allowed to talk to me about it since I was never in.
Eventually, they will either come around or they won't. Remember that it's not your job as a child to heal your parents, and you don't owe them that because of a misplaced sense of fealial piety. The weird thing about being a parent is that you never want your kid to get hurt, but it cuts you to the core to admit to them that you were pulled into a High Control Group. It's a weird, frustrating dichotomy. I didn't have a choice in the matter, and it took me ten years to say the words, 'Shit, I was in a cult', out loud in the mirror, and another three to say them to my husband of then eight years. Still figuring it out in many ways. I used to get upset about the biological parental units refusing to talk about it (one's still in, but that's another story), but after years of therapy, I learned that the only person who I can really help in this disaster is myself. I can't keep hurting myself in hope they will heal themselves.
Think of it like an airplane safety demo - put the oxygen mask on yourself first. You can't help anyone else without it, not can you force it on your neighbors. It gets better, I promise, even if it's only YOU getting better. Best thoughts are being sent to you.

I took that course about “how to detect bad people in your life”. First of all, I requested a course to help me with improving my memory and they gave me that. Secondly, it was the most boring, rudimentary, basic, no-shit “course” (it’s more like a work book) I have ever taken. It’s so stupid.
