Back in the mid/late 60s I had a 500 Triumph twin, Lovely motor, frame a bit iffy, I fitted the later 8" tls front brake, so much better, Check out Percy Tait, Triumph racer, his 500 flew, Finished 2nd behind Ago in a GP race,
Brian was a great guy, raced a bit w/him at some point- RIP. At one time he had the ex-Wayne Mcallister 500cc Triton, which had been developed a bit.Just remember the Contoured Oil Tank it ran, a sweet piece of alloy sheet making! Good recollections, thanks for the topic
My friend - the weather, your shop, and it's surroundings just scream out "vintage european machinery belongs here!".. Out here in the arid, flat prairie where the curves in the roads are few and far between and it's too cold to ride 6 months out of the year, too hot to ride another 3 months out of the year and too windy to ride another 2 and 1/2 months out of the year I don't know that a shop like this could exist (except for Baxter's in Iowa anyway). We just don't have it in our heritage.
As I heard (50 years ago while messing with my Pursang flat tracker) "Cerianis are cherry but Betors are better". The Bul had Betors. Leaked oil like sieves!
It's on MONDAY this year! Right after the FIM Canaan event the 8th and 9th of June! And that is a former Tony Cocoro "TriCor" sponsored machine. I raced Tony when he owned and rode it! Having said that, that is not the original tail piece. Where is it?
@@novamotorcycles Yes the 8th and 9th. The hill climb is the Monday the 10th. And yes it is weird this year. Because of NASCAR schedule changes, the USCRA will race only once this year in September.
Cool bikes! Thanks!!
Working in the rain, a man who loves his passion!
Those are some cool machines. I love seeing the older race bikes. I'm not a racer, but have had quite a bit of fun at a few track days at NHMS.

The real deal, no doubt.
Let’s see snaps of Bailey on the Triumph when she won!

FIM Event is 9 and 10, no? It's a weird schedule this year

The schedule on the club's FB page says we're racing Sunday/Monday, then hillclimbing Tuesday. Has that been changed?
@@novamotorcyclesYes.
They should of had separate race classes 1 for 4- stroke and 1 for 2- strokes.
