Cracking video again. Always very enjoyable to watch with Sunday breakfast make's my bacon and eggs even better. Keep up the sterling work. Kind regards
A lovely station which I have been to and through on quite a few occasions. Looking forward to Hamburg. Now off to find you on Facebook. Excellent upload. Thank you.
This is a great little station to come to with a great variety of services to be seen throughout the course of the day, you can also catch some freight coming through here if you are lucky enough!
I always prefer to film in the method that I do, it gives the viewer the impression of the train coming towards them as if they were standing on the platform aswell. I will try and get the SWML filmed a lot more next year when I get the chance to do so
Living in the west midlands it is weird to see a desiro without a pantograph and single sliding plug doors at the end of the coach instead of double sliding plugs 1/3 and 2/3s down the coach
@@Sarahbryson321 only been on one for a couple of short distance journeys but they didn't seem to bad granted this was only between Birmingham new street and Wolverhampton
This was quite the surprise to see. On this exact day I travelled down to Bournemouth for the Air Festival and then came back later in the evening. Unfortunately I went there earlier on in the day so you didn't end up catching my train on film. Anyways, nice to see you spotting in SWR territory again, and looking forward to future videos. Take care mate :)
I do like to try and get to as many different lines as is possible when I get the chance to do so. I haven't been onto the SWML for a good few years before this film so i though seeing as I wasn't too far away at the time I would give it a go
Well. Lovely video as usual and the next film from Germany. You are going places young sir. I am wondering if you be doing a twice weekly up loads as they are so brilliant.
I think the Nottingham film has probably already been done by the time this film was out, so I'm going to say chalk that one up to poor planning! I think I would have been here at the time though... just! I think there may be a Midland Mainline series coming next year hopefully though, so fingers crossed that ends up at Nottingham!
@@Tornado922 You've not? If you are there this Saturday though, I might be there! If you are, then if you do decide to head to the upper level where the trams are, there are nine Citadis trams that are deers, so see if you can spot them and watch out for the red nosed one! Good luck if you decide to accept the challenge!
Thoroughly enjoyable video Jared. As a northerner who knows nothing about SW services, can you tell me please , is it served by a mixture of third rail electric units and diesel units?
Thank you kindly! This station is indeed served by a mixture of EMUs and DMUs, the 158/159 units will go over to Bristol and Exeter from London. Those sections of line can only be worked by diesel trains, the rest of the network is worked by third rail EMUs
It's because I view other comments from various channels after films and Tornado922 says that he uses the Samsung Tablet when they ask him about how he records his films.
Great video and bless you at 2:48
Thanks very much!
2:48 bless you
Great vid as always
Thank you kindly!
A station I know very well, lived there on and off half my life. Nice to see good old Stokie on here. Exiled in Coventry now (I know!) Lol
Wow! so your now living in coventry?
Great video and I can just stand there listen to trains going over points all day 🍺👍
Thanks very much! I do love the sound of trains passing over a set of points. Especially when at speed
Very nice video I do like the 158s and 159s great work as always 👍👍
Thanks very much, it is a great line to come to because of the variety that you get depending on where you go

Brilliant video legend I was enjoying your videos

My current gf lives in one of the apartments overlooking the Western end of the station. Awesome spot to watch the comings & goings.
Great video.
Thanks very much!
I'm for one glad you don't do the zoom in and out thing. The sound of the engines is great, hope to see more on this network.
Why?

Hi Tornado922. Great film at Basingstoke. Looking forward to next films at Hamburg and Nottingham. Kind regards, Chris.
Thanks very much Chris and thank you for your continued support of the channel it really is greatly appreciated

Do you like the 350 /2s? Hate them myself as someone who lives on the southern WCML (north of MK south of rugby)

A very good Sunday evening buddy from Alan in Lowestoft
Thank you kindly
I see a video of my hometown coming up. Im really exited for that.
I hope you enjoyed it!

amazing video jarred
Thanks very much!
I shall get the number for the 221 *sneezes* idk why but that made me laugh.
I'm allergic to getting numbers ;)
How much old film have you got left
That's not a question...
Don't you think that Class 444 is a more modern Classic 442
Why do GWR use 165s in here? Is the line to reading not electrified or third railed?
Well. Lovely video as usual and the next film from Germany. You are going places young sir. I am wondering if you be doing a twice weekly up loads as they are so brilliant.
Thank you kindly :) It will be getting to the stage where there will be twice weekly uploads at some stage :)
Great video at Basingstoke
Can you film at Preston
Thanks very much! I will try and get Preston done as one of my first films for next year for you!
9:19 The train is called 'the d-day story'
Ah right ok thanks for letting me know
I can see more weekday uploads coming soon because even December is not too far away!
It will be getting to that time when weekday uploads will be happening for sure!
Could you do Derby as well, as Nottingham and Derby are quite close together? Only about 30 mins by car. Thanks
I will see what I can do

I haven't done the Nottingham film as of yet, I'm hoping to get it done on 10/12/22 assuming there isn't any strike action taking place that weekend

No strike action on EMR this weekend but there is a slightly reduced EMR Intercity service though with one train every hour on the Nottingham runs.
I'm a relatively newcomer to your channel, and was wondering what app you use to check the trains coming through
I use Realtimetrains for all of my information in regards to the origin and destinations of the various trains that I film
Nice
Thanks very much

One question please, Tornado922. What do you use to fily your amazing videos? Thank you for making these videos! I love them! Keep it up ❤
Tornado922 uses a Samsung Galaxy Tablet to film his brilliant videos.
