Yeah, in my experience T-80BVM is miles ahead of T-90M. That additional Armour saves you sometimes but in most cases additional mobility, reverse speed and faster reload is much better.
BVM is clearly the more comfortable machine to me as well. Yes the T-90M may make you play more careful and with the extra protection it may survive longer and more often leading to a better K/D ratio... But the game carry potential is higher in the BVM IMHO. K/D ratio isn't everything. It's not Call of Duty.

Hey, Justin. When you're playing the Su-39 unless you are in a night battle there is no reason to bring the Mercury targeting pod. You get the same camera and zoom with the Su's onboard camera. Try bringing the Kopyo radar pod instead and using it in the air to ground PD mode.
When I use the TV camera it always locks on the ground not on the tank this way it looks to get a good lock immediately but is that a laser lock, giving the target a laser warning?
@@joehemsworth4162 The optical tracking lock (the square that appears around the target) does NOT provide a laser warning. Only when you switch the laser designator on or launch laser guided munitions such as Vikhr or Kh-25ML. You can tell the laser designator is on or not by the small circle on the inside of the square shaped optical tracking lock. In my experience playing tanks equipped with laser warning systems depending on the angle of attack from the incoming missile, sometimes you don't get a warning. It seems Gaijin actually went to the trouble to model the laser warning sensor coverage properly. For example I've died to missiles launched from directly above and not received a laser warning since my sensor didn't face up.
It's infuriating that Germany has not one SINGLE top tier vehicle that another nation doesn't have an upgraded version of. There is no other nation with this problem.
Bro, i had 2 games in one day where I shot ammo perfectly on this tank. Not 1 but 2 rounds went black. Both times they shot back at me and ammo racked me, watched the replay and a single fleck of shrapnel hit my ammo which turned orange and exploded. (Was driving Ariete) Gaijin devs definitely are coping hard over how much they overbuff the ammo racks on these things to make them somewhat survivable.
T-80U-E1 is more so 11.7 material than 11.3 material, not sure why they chose this variant to add in particular. It has Gen-2 thermals, and it is actually upgraded to fire 3BM60 and the 9M113-M1, and it also has a better turret drive than the T-80Us. It's a little bit annoying that the best 11.3 T-80U is the premium one that costs $75.
For whatever reason the thing has nearly double the horizontal slewing speed despite utilizing the same stabilizer as the T-80U, but the snail cannot be questioned ig
Yeah, all the other 10.0+ maybe even a few lower br tanks have slower horizontal turret speed and slower vertical gun guidance than IRL, there are bunch of video that tested it out and counted the seconds
The missile this tank gets... is honestly better than the regular SABOT round it gets. Can go through every single tank in this game. Just dumpedna 6 kill game and all were from that missile.
When it comes to russian mbts having gen2 thermals is a previlege, 90A/80BVM/90M are the only tech tree tanks that have those and yet gaijin decides to add another T-80 variant with better fire control system than T-80U as a pack premium. absolute joke
4:42 Removing the 2 mountains was probably the best decision, but it's the fact that they didn't really do anything else to make it enjoyable. The mountains made the map almost unplayable in some scenarios, but just removing them and adding basically nothing else was a poor move.

Hey Justin, I played a game in my Merkava 1A, and I had a teammate being bullied by an L3CC I went around the corner, and shot it. I thought I was done, then looked again and my teammate was being shot by a Rtenkhampf(SP) and I'm like, two lil guys picking on a big guy, NOT gonna happen, and so I shot it too. LOL And in a previous game about 3 weeks ago, I was driving the L3CC with some other friends bullying an M1A1 Abrams. The Abrams tried to run me over, and I had the golden bb and shot right under him straight into his ammo rack point blank and he went KLABOOOOMMMMM!!! Was that the best god mode I ever earned. LOL. 🤣😂🤣

If they have an issue with spawncamping, give proper spawnprotection instead of these half-assed "solutions". On Normandy (1 cap) Gaijin just grabbed an eraser and cleared half of the map. Tl;dr: changing maps and routes is fine and could be interesting, but the recent changes are going in a terrible direction - artificial boundaries are not smart nor fun!
The biggest war thunder useful change of the 2024 model for the T-80BVM (including t-72b3) is just commander thermals and replacement of the cage armor with more ERA though in IRL the thermal sight gets a more useful cover without having to unbolt a plate and is halfway done inside the tank Few more smaller stuff but actually useful things
I was wondering, which nation should I grind next, I’m almost finished with USA, and I don’t know which other nation to grind. I’m open to any suggestion, except Italy, France and Israel.
The only good thing about the new versions of some of the maps is the removal of mountains that helicopters use to hide behind from missles 6km outside the battlefield giving no way for ground AA to counter them but they only did that to a couple maps so it's still a problem. Other than that it's still the snails bad map designs with the fact that spawn camping is still to easy. Hell most maps you can snipe into the other team's spawn from across the map the moment they spawn in.
Sands of Sinai change for me is okay. Tho it does reduce the map size which should have been compensated by adding some areas on the dune side where A point is. But overall decent change.
i actually like seeing more varients of the same vehicle. although they should focus on some other nations (which they did this time(italy)) that are severely lacking. maybe give the K2 to japan in a sub faction and maybe another Leclerc. my poor french tree needs love.

I think you covered it in your 2A7HU video but not only did Sands of Sinai get butchered previously, but also large Tunisia got butchered too. Went from like one of the more unique large maps to boring. I don't think gaijin understands map design quite yet
Hey Justin, Can you make a video covering the few bugs this update cause to affect the Abram’s. The ammo storage racks are bugged and causing only the hull ammo to be the filled first, permanently having 6 rounds in the hull if you have more then 18 rounds. Also on the SEP the side of the turret armor is bugged as well compared to the other Abram’s models if you look in the extra view. I’ve commented on other CCs videos about this issue but I don’t think anyone is aware how broken this is making the Abram’s. They are already in a rough spot as is.

Justin i enjoy your videos a lot but some of your takes are just wild. Sinai is so much more balanced now with the mountain that covered the entire map taken out. There isnt a cheesy spot where you can watch the entire rest of the map and stop any other gameplay anymore. You want a way to push? Play the sand dunes side.

80u-e1 has bug. when gunner sight aiming enemy in that time commander sight's aım mode lookıng enemy's left. also one of lmg next to the cannon it's not shooting where u aiming , also lmg on commander hatch is not shooting where u aiming....
@@JustinPlaysTV actually pretty good, colors are so nice tbh too I use NVIDIA shadow play bc OBS lowers my FPS a lot. Last NVIDIA’s update gave us two options to record with H.264/HEVC or AV1, and I don’t know what’s the best.
AV1 is solid for for quality while compressed, and saves a TON of space, but it SUCKS to edit with. I was considering it but I can't stand Shadowplay and their super simplistic setup. Also I snuck in my color grading, am glad to see it came out looking nice :D

Russia has the best premium tank combo of all the nations you can play top tier and only use premium tanks and not suffer from them being lower tier I have taken out my fair share of 11.7 with the Turms and now with the t80ue1 makes it that much better was a little sad when i saw the t80ud had no thermals but she's still a beast.
I think the map change is good and bad. I think the big flank on the mountain was too op and some games would see 80% of players going there and all choppers taking that route. A better change would just be to change that section of the map or make the mountain itself smaller but that's probably a ton of work so this is a middle ground. Also Casual Tryhard is a great term haha

The fact that its just .3 BR higher than the Swedish T80U is shocking, in almost every way the Swedish T80U is the same as the T80UD, except engine and the 10mm rubber fabric screen on the lower plate, oh and the shitty 1st gen thermals, but thats a whole BR difference, on top of that t90a, better shell, better thermals, 10.7

Yo guys, I kinda grinded USA, Germany and USSr, im wondering if I should finish them or (which I would prefer) start a new "little" nation. I don't want to grind for anotehr 200hours to get to toptier, I just want a fun nation that's good on ground and that has a bit of CAS. Is China a good option here? I do like the glass cannon playstyle with fast tanks btw
China is mostly an amalgamation of other nations vehicles - loads of USSR, USA and some Japan stuff. In that way its alright, but you'd be retreading the same ground. I'd recommend Italy for fun and more originality - there's also a good amount of glass canon style tanks such as the bredas, and decent cas options in the air tech tree
Now that all these premium top tier tanks are coming out, all of the nation's win rates are gonna drop badly as USA'S did. Also if your reading this Justin, can we be In-game friends? I play pretty much everyday.

Sands of Sinai got butchered already last time when they removed to top of the hill fight... and they somehow might have made it even worse now, hard to say, only had it once... But their previous "fix" was awful already. The War Thunder map department is seriously the weakest thing on the team right now.
I just want them to fix the grind all they been doing is making the grind hard and longer and adding in top tier tanks to push people in to buy them so they can play one death leave which is just killing that BR and there not many people at that BR because of the grind . If they do not fix the grind to let more people get to top tier faster all they need to do is add 30% more rp if not they jsut going to kill the game with the gate keeping of new player to the game
In my opinion this whole patch has been the worst they have ever released. air rb at top tier is actually unplayable, the ground maps got completely ruined by making open expanses to eliminate verticality and hils, and the stock grind amnong all of the air rb as well as heli grind has regressed rather than seeing any improvement. the next one will need to be better and reverse this one in some ways or else they will lose many players

I didnt really notice any difference to the normal T-80U and the T-80U-E1 except the tandem ATGM found on more modern vehicles

i remember a bug with this thing in the dev server where if you try to turn the turret it would just flip lol

I think you covered it in your 2A7HU video but not only did Sands of Sinai get butchered previously, but also large Tunisia got butchered too. Went from like one of the more unique large maps to boring. I don't think gaijin understands map design quite yet

Can you make a video covering the few bugs this update cause to affect the Abram’s. The ammo storage racks are bugged and causing only the hull ammo to be the filled first, permanently having 6 rounds in the hull if you have more then 18 rounds. Also on the SEP the side of the turret armor is bugged as well compared to the other Abram’s models if you look in the extra view. I’ve commented on other CCs videos about this issue but I don’t think anyone is aware how broken this is making the Abram’s. They are already in a rough spot as is.
The latest BVM you are referring to is the one Wich are using in the "Special Operation" the turtle BVM with random steel on top and on the side 😂

Justin i enjoy your videos a lot but some of your takes are just wild. Sinai is so much more balanced now with the mountain that covered the entire map taken out. There isnt a cheesy spot where you can watch the entire rest of the map and stop any other gameplay anymore. You want a way to push? Play the sand dunes side.

80u-e1 has bug. when gunner sight aiming enemy in that time commander sight's aım mode lookıng enemy's left. also one of lmg next to the cannon it's not shooting where u aiming , also lmg on commander hatch is not shooting where u aiming....

I use HEVC/AAC, since some of the latest updates now allow for it.

I use NVIDIA shadow play bc OBS lowers my FPS a lot.
Last NVIDIA’s update gave us two options to record with H.264/HEVC or AV1, and I don’t know what’s the best.
AV1 is solid for for quality while compressed, and saves a TON of space, but it SUCKS to edit with. I was considering it but I can't stand Shadowplay and their super simplistic setup.
Also I snuck in my color grading, am glad to see it came out looking nice :D

Russia has the best premium tank combo of all the nations you can play top tier and only use premium tanks and not suffer from them being lower tier I have taken out my fair share of 11.7 with the Turms and now with the t80ue1 makes it that much better was a little sad when i saw the t80ud had no thermals but she's still a beast.

I think the map change is good and bad. I think the big flank on the mountain was too op and some games would see 80% of players going there and all choppers taking that route. A better change would just be to change that section of the map or make the mountain itself smaller but that's probably a ton of work so this is a middle ground.

The fact that its just .3 BR higher than the Swedish T80U is shocking, in almost every way the Swedish T80U is the same as the T80UD, except engine and the 10mm rubber fabric screen on the lower plate, oh and the shitty 1st gen thermals, but thats a whole BR difference, on top of that t90a, better shell, better thermals, 10.7

Yo guys, I kinda grinded USA, Germany and USSr, im wondering if I should finish them or (which I would prefer) start a new "little" nation. I don't want to grind for anotehr 200hours to get to toptier, I just want a fun nation that's good on ground and that has a bit of CAS. Is China a good option here? I do like the glass cannon playstyle with fast tanks btw
China is mostly an amalgamation of other nations vehicles - loads of USSR, USA and some Japan stuff. In that way its alright, but you'd be retreading the same ground.
I'd recommend Italy for fun and more originality - there's also a good amount of glass canon style tanks such as the bredas, and decent cas options in the air tech tree

Sands of Sinai got butchered already last time when they removed to top of the hill fight... and they somehow might have made it even worse now, hard to say, only had it once... But their previous "fix" was awful already.
The War Thunder map department is seriously the weakest thing on the team right now.

I just want them to fix the grind all they been doing is making the grind hard and longer and adding in top tier tanks to push people in to buy them so they can play one death leave which is just killing that BR and there not many people at that BR because of the grind . If they do not fix the grind to let more people get to top tier faster all they need to do is add 30% more rp if not they jsut going to kill the game with the gate keeping of new player to the game

In my opinion this whole patch has been the worst they have ever released. air rb at top tier is actually unplayable, the ground maps got completely ruined by making open expanses to eliminate verticality and hils, and the stock grind amnong all of the air rb as well as heli grind has regressed rather than seeing any improvement. the next one will need to be better and reverse this one in some ways or else they will lose many players
