Well the center piece and the passenger side piece are separate for the fact if I have a problem with the gauges or switch’s I can unbolt and service that area and same goes for the passenger side where the radio will go. As far as the plates around the steering column there is no possible way to cut that piece and still have it serviceable unless you pull the steering column out!
Why didn't you make the dash a solid one piece the line don't match up.
