In so many ways, Frontier put so much effort into the animations, a lot of them are really unique and just downright cool as hell. On the other hand, we have the Ankly going down in three hits then ragdolling halfway through a death animation…I’m hoping they’ll balance things out in future updates

So you have to maintain a certain ratio, like a bunch of Hadrosaurs, one sauropod species, one ceratopsid species and one Ankylo or Nodo species in the same enclosure. You can’t put any carnivores in such an enclosure, not even compy, because armoured herbivores hate them unlike the last game. This is because any pack hunting small carnivore can kill any herbivore or any carnivore or pterosaur for that matter.
I think in sandbox, you can turn off the herbivores fighting each other setting. So they won’t kill each other but I don’t know if they will still dislike their exhibit or tolerate one another. Edit: You can also turn off dinosaur comfort, so I guess in sandbox it will be alright sort of.

A unique animation Stegosaurus has with medium and large theropods is that if they're equally matched and have traded blows they'll often charge and slam their sides against each other.
i'm surprised a herbivore can even kill another herbivore, but well when even a brachiosaurus can get killed by like 2 raptors i guess everything can kill a herbivore with little issue.
In Jurassic World Evolution 1 someone would either die or they would retreat, stop fighting, and heal. In JWE2 it's always someone HAS to die which is insanely stupid imo.
Every dinosaur fight video I've seen has had more running than fighting and this is one of them. The title says fighting and that's what the viewers should see.
It always bothered me that the Tric had such low stats in this game. When I first got the base game I just knew he'd be a power house but oh no some of the lowest stats in the game. Games like The Isle got it right imo xD
In my opinion Ceratopsids and Ankylosaurids are the coolest because the fights just look better than the large carnivore fights. Especially the clubless Ankylosaurids' ramming attack. Also there needs to be a non-lethal fight settings so Ceratopsids can still have cool fights without getting hurt and killed, if that isn't already a setting.
I wonder if the game is going to bring an Omnivore dinosaur (the Tapejara is a piscivore in this game), but that would be way too easy to keep in captivity.

When Euoplocephalus lost to a PUNY Polacanthus I knew it was unfair. 1. Euoplocephalus was heavily armored with a tail club whereas polacanthus was NOT heavily armored with no tail clubs. 2. HOW CAN 4-5 BASHES FROM A POLCANTHUS KILL A EUOPLOCEPHALUS THERE MUST BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE CREATOR 3. How can bashes penetrate the armor of Euoplocephalus? Come on game atleast add some armor or reduce damage to the ankylosaurs!!

To be fair, when something dies it doesn't instantly become a stiff wooden board, every limb and joint goes limp and floppy.
