Poor hadrasaur... Even with buff still lose.. What frontier need to add in this game is herd defence system for herbivore. I think that would be cool to see that
@@crunchybro123 thats why I say, adding herd defence system like they add hunting pack. Maybe not all the herd member will come to help but only hadrasaur with bravery on their perk will fight back.. Hahaha it just an idea
In JPOG a game 20 years older the herbivores actually had that herd AI. Aggressive ones who charge and some would either run or try to gang up on the predators just like Cape buffalos. And the ones that relied on running were able to confuse predators for instance when a Rex locked on a parasaur it would charge and knock it down but as soon as the para rose up and fled the rest of the running parasaurs would actually confuse the Rex and he’d end up wasting his energy on another para. If a pack of 12 nerfed raptors tried to charge a herd of 20 edmontosaurs they had 50/50 chance if all the raptors went for the same target they’d successfully take it down, but if half got confused or greedy and went for another target it’d die from fall damage once it fell off from the edmontosaurs. It’s sad really that a supposed sequel 20 years made after has inferior ai.
Jurassic franchise expectations: A small pack of 10 - 12 feet long raptors can kill a 50 feet long hadrosaur. Reality: A zebra can quite easily kick a lion's skull in.
Honestly this should be their base stats. It’s so annoying that they always instantly die. These are huge animals and the games seem to forget this lol.

I still hate that the dinosaurs stand there, waiting to be attacked. The raptors just climb back on, attacking over and over again. In JPOG, the raptors clung on while the prey animal was still running. It's sad how a nearly 20 year old game is still handling mechanics better than this brand new game. It's seriously disappointing. Also, another nitpick. The Iguanodontids are labeled as hadrosaurs. They were separate in JWE1, why are they suddenly the same?
It’s probably because they spent so much time and money on the models etc that they barely had time to properly think through the mechanics. But then again, we shouldn’t be too quick to judge, it could well change in another update
I had something similar to what you wanted. I made Velociraptors pack hunt a Corythosaurus and they were chasing it until one raptor just leaped on it which made the dinosaur stop and let the rest of the pack take it down. I didn't use a mod since I'm a console user. I think running and leaping pack hunting is rare.
Iguanodon vs herd of Velociraptors has to be the most brutal thing I've ever seen, the herbivore defends itself incredibly with those kicks, so powerful that they even send the raptors many meters away from the Iguanodon, it's honestly very unbelievable to see that a Velociraptor can survive a tremendous blow to the ribs or head, that should break your insides like glass, but this is a game that you could ask for more, but you have to admit that this is a show, even the defense animations of the other hadrosaurids against the raptors ; They also put in some good Horse or Zebra style kicks to Raptors, a kick like that to a Raptor's face should break his jaw just like Zebras can break a Lion's jaw with a good kick to the face. PS: It's a shame that with the Atrociraptors (the ones from JWE2's recent Dominion DLC) there are no defense animations of large herbivores or carnivores, I wish I could see the Iguanodon with Dominion Skin kicking the Atrociraptors like it does with the Atrociraptors Velociraptors, but you can't, although if the herbivore is modified it can kill the Atrocis but there is no animation anyway.
I like it like that, to make the game more real we should boost the stats of the herbivores and lets the carnivore at a normal rate because a kick like that should kill you.
I think it would be cool, if when the hadrosaurs fall down and a raptors on the wrong side it can crush and kill the raptor, I think that would be a cool detail
Raptors OP XD I would like that they will increase a little more the speed of defending themselves from raptors and other small carnivores to large dinosaurs since they defend themselves a little bit slowly
