They should get rid of zoning like Houston. Houston is filling in and getting denser. It’s also easier to build which is one reason why it’s the most multicultural city in the USA. No zoning = less segregated communities.

and a big reason why Houston is a dirty, crime-laden Dump. Open your eyes.

Stop talking about roads, they take forever to build, induce sprawl and the cycle repeats. We would be in much better shape if the 2000 Light Rail Plan passed. More rail with reserved right of way that can beat traffic.

Exactly. And a higher rail system like Chicago has. Nowhere else to build but up. I think best long term approach...in middle/medians and others areas have railways...hopefully I'm gone by then though.

I read that Austin may expand rail if a billion dollar project passes.

"Stop talking about roads and give us trains that nobody will use."
      Yeah, makes sense.

If we had more mass transit, we wouldn't need so many roads and cars. But we, the tax payers, subsidize the auto industry by personally paying for our cars ... to drive on public roads. It's insane. We pay taxes for roads then have to personally buy cars to use those roads. BUILD MASS TRANSIT. Stop privatizing everything.
