This is not how to groom a cavalier. U have completely butchered the coat. It is not a pom pom or poodle, it is meant to have ‘feathers’ u have transformed this dogs coat akin to a short hair breed like a pitty or boxer. It is not intended to look this way & the shortening of a double coat breed means air cannot circulate properly to cool it down. If this was one of mine id sue.

I agree. It might’ve been at the request of the owner. My first time taking my pup to the groomer ended like this. It was cute at first, but once it grew out it looked horrible. My second time i got a standard cavalier groom and she turned out much cuter and it grew out naturally beautiful.
I like the quieter scissors better, where you only hear the final clip. The movement sound just makes me think they need to be oiled even though I know they are brand new.

Have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe, a dog doesn't have to blindly follow a standard set by some human? Is it permissible for a dog parent to decide to give his family member a free life in nature, daily runs in the forest and swimming in the river, and not a golden cage and a podium at an exhibition? If you make an effort to broaden your horizons, you may understand that a happy dog does not need to know the standard. Greetings.
@@groomhousebeauty My cavalier has never "been shown" but I keep his coat the way it is INTENDED to be BECAUSE he is a cavalier king charles spaniel, not any other breed. Upkeep and maintenance on a daily basis should NOT be an issue (keeping them clean, brushing them, and making an effort to keep them out of situations where they could get matted and filthy) or they shouldn't have become a parent (owner) of one. That cavalier could just as well be any dog on the street if you're judging it by the way it looks because the "distinctive" appearance of a cavalier isn't there. You butched them off.

Hallo, ich habe einen Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Mit Entsetzen habe ich gesehen, wie dem Herzi das gesamte Fell kurz geschnitten und effiliert wurde. Die Pfötchen sind viel, viel zu kurz gemacht. Hosen an den Beinen alles weg. Das entspricht nicht den Vorgaben für einen Cavi 😢. Wahrscheinlich wollten die Besitzer das so haben, aber es sieht nicht gut aus. Das macht mich sehr, sehr traurig! If seen many haircutting videos in TH-cam from cavaliers, because I own two bye myself. This is do false. As a groomer you should educate dog owners on how to groom a cavalier the right way.
I am not a dog person, and never have been. However, there is something about this breed that means I will make exceptions for them. My mother took in a CKCS as a rescue when I was 17. I can't say Charlie's original owners mistreated him, but, by the same token, I don't think they really knew how to look after him. For the thirteen years he lived, he shared his time between my mother and sister, but he was so good natured that he managed to break through my indifference. I was very sorry when we eventually had to do the kindest thing for him. Sammy, our second CKCS, was a birthday present for my mother. We got him as a puppy, and, from the moment he arrived he became mum's dog. Sad to say, he developed the heart issues that claimed Charlie, as well as having some very worrying psychological issues. For all that, he would come to me when he saw me, bury his head in my legs, and wait for the back scratches he loved. So whilst I don't want a dog, if i needed to make room to take in a rescue case from the breed, I'd do it without hesitation.
Not the 'natural' groomed look required for the Cavalier standard, but hey.. it this is your idea of a cool cut for a home dog.. what can I say?! Must say I watched the cutting of all the beautiful feathers with horror....
Dear people, don't get upset. Why do you think it is mandatory for every dog owner to love and demand standard haircuts? After all, a standard hairstyle must be maintained. Would you prefer this cute dog to have a wonderful standard haircut for 10 days, and then become one matted chaos? Not every owner is able to maintain the coat. Let's be real. This dog is happier than many who have standard haircuts. 🙂
@@groomhousebeautyi have 2 cavaliers and they grow their coats out so fast and they love to roll around on the ground and rub their bodies against furniture and people, it’s hard to maintain their coats EVERYDAY so both have the same cut/coat length like this cutie in the video now 😂

Wow I can’t believe how big this King Charles is. I’ve had them for 30 years now and none of them have ever been over 20 pounds.
