It's a parallel twin tuned with a 360 degree crank. The "vibration" is nominal and should, actually, feel comforting. BTW, those mirrors look pretty good on this old bike.
A bit of a conflict, here. A welcome review of the W650, .. as I am looking at one for sale, locally. But, .. you spent all that time beating yourself up with the wind just to see that plane, parked in a desert? ... What's in those hot dogs, bud?
ANY motorcycling journey is about the ups and downs a a getting through them to find the hidden Jems. Yeah the wind sucked, but the scenery was amazing and 80 miles of the trip was filled with great twisty roads (see my latest elephant butte run), totally worth it.
Aw, so. Will check the other video. ... Hats off to you for that distance, speed, and wind, with no screen. Personally, there came a point where winding up a punching bag outweighed any enjoyment of the trip. @@MCCJustMotos
@@pnwoods So....did you buy it ? getting harder to find these days , fun bike to push through twisty-roads and you can get them past 100hp if you don;t mind spending... Dave nz
Affirmative, Dave. A 2000 with the same paint scheme as the one in this video. ... Had also been looking at a 2001. (green/yellow) ... less miles, better condition, .. but, $6200, .. & 800 miles away. ... The 2000 came with extras, -- 3 headlights, 3 different handlebars, 3 sets of mirrors, luggage, 2 racks, matching windshield, extra brake shoes/pads, led turn indicators, .. for $3800, .. delivered to my door. Many thanks to this, and other, video posters for their thorough reviews. Also thanks to you, and other commenters, for sharing their experience, and advice. Any W650 forums you suggest would gratefully sought out and supported. Thanks, again, MCCJustMotos for this informative video. @@kdsowen2882

Haha on the mirrors yep.. not to shabby, I’m glad they got replaced. Yeah the 350 crank had a bunch of charicter, and I like it!

Les rétros ne vont absolument pas avec la W.
W is good, but I do have other favorite retros :)
A very straight and boring road. Give me the Appalachian Mountains anyday
There were some amazing section of twisties here too, but I feel ya I live near the Appalachians to.
@@MCCJustMotos yes I'm sure the mountain roads there are great
