  • A settlement agreement has been reached between Trade Union Solidarity and Government on the Employment Equity Act. Solidarity launched a dispute against the Department of Employment and Labour, and the minister with the International Labour Organisation among others disputing the constitutionality of South Africa's new BEE and transformation laws.

All indirect feedback...employment must be for any human who fits the position...workplace is not a voting station! Karma is nearby for all the wrong done.

I am so happy. The old act is unfair. So well done to solidarity 👏👏

My take on this, everyone needs a job . So people should be employed according to their knowledge. If you put wrong person to do the job production will be affected and this is a huge problem.

Other media is very conspicuous in their non reporting on this. Solidarity is gunning for NHI next. Throw money at them boys.

    If interested...
"According to Solidarity, the agreement solidifies and underlines two major points in relation to employment equity:
No one’s employment may be terminated in any way as a result of companies’ racial programmes; and
Race may not be used as the sole criterion for employment and promotions.
“This agreement means the end of using race as the sole criterion for employment and promotion. It also removes the sword of retrenchment that has been hanging over the head of minorities, and it means that companies would no longer be forced to make appointments that do not meet their specific skills needs."
"The settlement also affirms a guarantee from the government that no penalties will be applied to employers and businesses that have a valid reason not to comply - while also stating clearly that no business will be forced in any way to dismiss workers based on race in trying to achieve the targets."
Means dischem needs to go promote whites that lost their chances...

@@cloudstrife8791 Yes thanks to past EFF clicks protests n boycots calls. Theres no white party including ANC that will ever call for a boycot of a white company besides EFF. So clicks behaves well now n issues generous discounts now because blacks are valued there n in return majority buys there now. Dischem is for the more affluent.
