Good video get a cheap cree headlamp off Amazon so when you have to go in the dark parts the barn might save your life or at least prevent you from turning an ankle someday ..
I am the son of a livestock hauler. Went with dad when I was a kid . I'm 51 now and am a truck driver was going to do this my dad recommended not so i got into flatbed.
Probably a good choice. I've been done hauling cattle for a few years now. It's a young man's game especially loading by yourself like I did but was definitely a great experience. Merry Christmas
@barbarajgosselin6797 I didn't use my phone. It's more like a go pro camera. Also I never showed myself, my truck or spoke of where I picked up and delivered to. Unfortunately there are too many people that like to cause trouble so I just kept everything on the down low. I'm sure most want to see the cattle and what I'm loading than look at me anyway

They must have forgot about those cows being there for 2 weeks I mean I know of a company that when I work at the sale barn leaving cows laying around for two weeks
They don't forget about them. Sometimes if there's not enough for a full load they'll wait till next sale to load them or sometimes there's not enough trucks to cover everything
I use the flag to separate and count and don't really need the hot shot in the pens. I need it more to load the truck because they sometimes don't want to go in the trailer or narrow chutes so they need a little persuasion.

@barbarajgosselin6797 Used to load late night and early morning so was dark often. If the barn had poor lighting that's what I had to work with

Just depends when trucks are sent. Could be a couple days up to a couple weeks
How much sleep do you get during a work week? I've heard guys run on little to no sleep
I was on a mostly dedicated routine so I didn't run like most cattle haulers do and had a pretty decent sleep schedule

You will have that I know how it works and I wasnt goin say nothin didnt want 2 cause u any aggervation
How come you use the red flag whip while in the barn then change to the hot shot going in the truck? Be safe out there
