I've got a soft spot in my heart for the Sapphire ... my wife & I took an Alaskan land/sea cruise-tour on that ship in 2017. Your little "section divider" video snippets of going up to the roof-top deck over the bridge brought back memories. That spot was "the bomb" for viewing our progress down through the inside passage 👍 😀
Very nice close up’s in the dining room Just a suggestion is slow down showing what is available at the buffet Subscribed and looking forward to future episodes
We are taking our first Princess cruise in May 2025. It’s a new ship called “Sun Princess”. We pretty much cruise strictly DCL. We tried Carnival and Royal, just not impressed. It wasn’t horrible, but not great. Looking forward to trying out Princess.
Really cool you will be on Sun Princess! We were impressed with our Princess cruise. We liked it much more than royal or carnival. It was less of a party vibe, more relaxed.
We have cruised Princess 8 times and Disney once. While Disney cruise was a different experience with great service and food options along with the Disney vibe, we will stick with Princess. Can cruise twice for the price and the service and food is comparable between both. Along with pricing, Princess has the edge with more pool options, quiet spaces for reading and 24 hour International Cafe. Enjoy your cruise on Sun Princess!
Congratulations on the excellent content in your videos! In 2023, we went on a Princess cruise to Antarctica, and this year, we’ll be doing the 14-day Caribbean itinerary. Last time, we didn’t make any reservations at the specialty restaurants because I assumed they were an additional cost. So, we ended up having all our meals at the buffet. If you could kindly answer, I would greatly appreciate it: Were the restaurants and meals featured in the video paid separately, part of the Princess Plus/Premier package, or included in the standard fare? Best regards from Brazil ❤
I’m so glad you like our videos! All the meals in this video were included with our standard cruise fare, except the last one - which we had in the port of Manta, Ecuador. After that cruise we flew to Brazil, such a beautiful country! Bom Dia!
Princess has great food, you can eat every meal in the MDR and never have a bad meal. On our last cruise we would always get an extra plate of fettuchini alfredo to share along with our regular dinners :)
For the most part I would agree. A couple of the dinners went anything to write home about but certainly not bad. For us our enjoyment at dinner had a lot to do with where we were seated. Sometimes we felt crowded in with other passengers and this would make us uncomfortable.
Yes. Before your cruise, you can go on the Princess app and reserve a table for your desired time and number of people. They've updated the app since the last time we cruised on Princess, but I remember there was an option for "reserve for all days". Look for that, and the system will automatically make you a reservation for same time, same table for your whole cruise. I'd also recommend going to the main dining room on the first day and asking to see which table you have been assigned to. If you don't like the placement (i.e. maybe you want one near a window), the maitre'd can try and get you something you like. Be polite, but persistent, for best results :)
We are Elite on Princess so needless to say, we have traveled with them a lot. We are also picky eaters. That being said, much of what I have seen looked awful. One of my biggest complaints is under cooked pasta (Al dente is half cooked!). Our biggest problem is often the entree is paired with sides we can’t or won’t eat. You could get around it a bit if only the food wasn’t piled on top of each other. So, we rarely eat in the MDR.
@@EmbraceToday-travel We eat in the buffet, Trident Grill, and International Cafe. We are not fans of Sabatini’s and only go to Crown Grill if it is free. We generally don’t eat dinner at all. So far we haven’t found the specialty restaurants worth the added cost.
Hi You do know you can ask for food to be left off your plate if you don't want to eat a certain veggie/accompaniment! They are very accommodating on Princess. Also, there is less food waste, too.

Awesome, we loved Sapphire as well! We took it from LA to Santiago Chile!

Boarding July 8th…can’t wait.
Have a great cruise!
Thanks for the review,is-it possible to reserve a table for two in the main dining restaurant until the end of the cruise?

@@EmbraceToday-travel thank you so much,have a nice Day🥰
Was that Antarctic cruise? The itinerary has a lot to do with the meals ( menu) they serve😊
This was the first half of the Antarctic cruise. From LA to Santiago Chile. What a trip!
I love princess they are my favorite
So far they our favorite as well. We want to try Celebrity and Virgin to compare.
Thanks for your videos. Can you order more than one main dish.
You can order as many main dishes as you want at no extra charge except for steak and lobster.

Portions look very generous
You definitely get enough food on the cruise!

I hope someday we can achieve elite on Princess as well! If you don’t eat in main dining where do you eat? Buffet ?specialty dining?

Just don’t worry about other people you are the one who pay for the cruise
That is good advice brother!
Is your wife a doctor?
These meals dont look good im nerves to dine in those restaurants
It was delicious, nothing to worry about!
Food looks cheap
