I learned how to play the game correctly because of phreak. Back then, there were no streamers, no "META", and no proper laning. SO what he taught was, how to utilize skills. what item complements the champ best and how to cover the weaknesses. Glad you were able to cover his story, thank you.
I was there when phreak played every single new champ as a jungler and when tri force is good on everyone even those who dont hav mana like lee sin LOL good times
I mean.. tri force garen was meta recently and triforce akali top is going to be meta soon so.. yeah, just wanna say that tri force on champs that don't have mana is still a thing
I barely watch League for the gameplay any more; I watch League for the casters. They're just big nerds doing big (and often awkward/terribly cringey) nerd things and having fun. Absolute legends.
I really miss Jatt, especially when we talk about guys that have been there since the start. But I know that he is following his real passion now in the balance teem. Jax is op now, thanx alot jatt
Phreak is like my older brother, the more you get to know him and the more you know how awesome he is the better, 100% himself and genuine, lives by imparting his knowledge and enabling others to know what is up and how to do it
ahh phreak, one of those super nice guys. i love the dude, hes so nice and allways happy to help. i played a bit of warframe with him and if i have questions and catch him online hes allways happy to help. stick arround for a bit more aye ? we love you dude
Phreak is honestly somewhere in between the dad and the goofy second-born child of the big LoL family. I get that all the casters are unique but Phreak's one of the most consistent and funny and awesome ones. Doesn't help that I've got the same sense of humour too.
No matter what Riot does with their game Phreak will always be my favorite part of it all. My love for League of Legends has a lot to do with watching him cast games.
The thing about phreak is it is a love-hate relationship. You gotta love him because he is great at what he does, and that he is really smart about the game. You hate him for the puns because they can be so corny. Still, the guy is good at what he does, and it is hard to deny that.
Phreak was always one of the most passionate people in LoL. I quit LoL back in season 7 and don't know what Phreak does for them nowadays, but in the early days he was the face of LoL. From the champion highlights videos to being recognized in Riot's own "Summoner's spotlight" series as well as the infamous Trinity Force. I used to watch his streams a lot in the early seasons. He was in the higher diamond tiers and gave a lot of advice to players in the stream, even if it was usually only for his main role; adc. And if you want to see a really old, quality LoL meme, search for "Phreak Teemo dance". Thank me later.
love Phreak but also reminds me auf Lee "Deman"(?) Smith and Joe Miler and that long-haired dude from Riot who casted sometimes (and looked a bit like Shuushei). Memories
The man who has no mana!
Tramp Tuts Hehehehhehe
lol
Actually laughed out loud on the last part when they brought the "no mana" part up
I dont get it?
@@vorlon81 Tyler1 reference
He gets a lot of hate but I'm glad he still sticks to it. His devotion to the game is real. Glad you guys made this.
he doesnt the only people who hates him are 9 year olds t1 fan boys
then t1 getting banned for triggering (P)rick?
@@badddudey8303 dafuq you talking about he isnt even close to t1 bois you moron
But he is reformed now
who hates phreak he might be kinda cringe sometimes but hes so passionate about the game and is a great caster
Phreak is a god damn legend. Glad you guys covered him finally.
The QUAAAAAAAAAAADRA KILL for Huni.
Luv you Phreak
That was so cringe.
Hi voice wobbles while screaming it out
@@DrIgor-ny1we How so? I honestly doubt you could do any fucking better.
That cracked me up :Dd
@Matthew Marshall Just leave him be...he must be one of those "professional" haters who WILL always find bad things to say about others
i love how you guys give us the story on the casters and not just the gamers
in a way, he used to be a player
I learned how to play the game correctly because of phreak. Back then, there were no streamers, no "META", and no proper laning. SO what he taught was, how to utilize skills. what item complements the champ best and how to cover the weaknesses.
Glad you were able to cover his story, thank you.
He's the only person that i would recognized immediately if he would say "Tons of Damage"
I was there when phreak played every single new champ as a jungler and when tri force is good on everyone even those who dont hav mana like lee sin LOL good times
He has no mana anyway.
But he has tons of damage
When sheen gave ap :(
I mean.. tri force garen was meta recently and triforce akali top is going to be meta soon so.. yeah, just wanna say that tri force on champs that don't have mana is still a thing
i mean still in theory, tri force is the biggest damage multiplier, if you look at 1 item and as maximum potential. just not practical in live games
YOU HAVE NO MANA!!!!!
Edit: who remembers nikasaur from the show of league where she talks about some art submissions
Summoner Showcase, right?
nikasaur was great sad she moved on.
@@Wolfeur yeah! That's it
I met her at Pax East in 2012.
Good old days having summoner showcase
Phreak "Tons of Damage" Trinity Force
you can't forget the time they had him dancing on the log in screen for his birthday
I barely watch League for the gameplay any more; I watch League for the casters.
They're just big nerds doing big (and often awkward/terribly cringey) nerd things and having fun. Absolute legends.
To me, phreak is and will always be the face of esports
He’s a legend with no mana.
The day Phreak stops doing Spotlights i'll be so sad.
I'm pretty sure I've watched all of phreaks champions spotlights from the very start seeing the old ones made me really nostalgic
I remember when Vayne came out and everyone lost their shit at the roll. I miss those days and before; When adcs went mid.
Legends say that to this day, Phreak still has no mana.
Ah yes. My favourite caster.
Dove Freak Turkey
I really miss Jatt, especially when we talk about guys that have been there since the start. But I know that he is following his real passion now in the balance teem. Jax is op now, thanx alot jatt

He is my favourite caster and Riot employee by far. Lots of respect for him, he gave back so much.
The way he play with his left hand on mouse is what really pheaky

@@udbhavshrivastava yes but he did cast league in its early days.
No RIP for Deman ?
I pray that Kobbe never has to retire
One of the greatest. This man need s more to get more props for he insane work.
I've been playing since season 2 and I had no idea Phreak was the voice of Champion Spotlights.
Anyone that can display an incredible knowledge of a subject has my attention. There aren’t that many people like that.
I love how Phreak and Kobe cast the most hype NA games like C9 vs AFS and the finals of the splits and finals of the gauntlet
"No mana, no mana.
You have no mana bi*ch.
YOU HAVE NO MANA!" - Tyler1, 2017
legend says he still has no mana
just recently got into league i enjoy the breakdowns of the patches he does, had no idea what he used to do
YOU HAVE NO MANA
He is a gem in gaming name another personality in any other game ever who has contributed and continue to do what he does for the game..I’ll wait
Ahhh yes. Phreak❤️ i may have stopped playing and following competitive league but my love for Phreak is still there.
phreak is a legend and i genuinely enjoy seeing him on the broadcast
You can say whatever you want about him, his passion towards the game is real and i respect him for that
One of the iconic voice in lol scene
And one of the best play by play shoutcaster
Phreak one of the OGs
15:27 is legendary commentary which always sends shivers down my spine. For me one of the best caster moment till today.
ahh phreak, one of those super nice guys. i love the dude, hes so nice and allways happy to help. i played a bit of warframe with him and if i have questions and catch him online hes allways happy to help. stick arround for a bit more aye ? we love you dude
Phreak is a LoL Icon. Well done really liked it!
Trinity Force = Phreak's Game Knowledge + Sjokz Interviews + Quickshot's Excitement
It's 2021 and I still feel like the "Quaaadra" scream happened yesterday :D
Even though some people has loves and hates on him, his passion on casting and teaching on LoL for 9 seasons (my guess) deserves a outmost respect.
this video just made me realise how far League has come...and this man has been with Riot since the beginning wow
This video contains Tons of Feels
when in doubt, buy Trinity Force, losing mid lane, buy Trinity Force, wrong Runes? Buy Trinity Force
Man this guy has accomplished himself incredibly well.
Phreak is honestly somewhere in between the dad and the goofy second-born child of the big LoL family. I get that all the casters are unique but Phreak's one of the most consistent and funny and awesome ones. Doesn't help that I've got the same sense of humour too.
There's no other voice that makes you feel tons of familiarity in Champion Spotlights, other than Phreak.
so many old gods, brings me tears.

Never click on notifications right away and never really cared about LoL but I am gonna click on any notification that involves T1’s former foe
KingKaiO5 haha thats why im clicking on this too, should title this t1s former foe too lmao
Man I watched this dude on Wcreplays. Dont play LoL but I'm glad he's done so well.
It blows me away how much Riv has changed holy crap. Almost didn't recognize him.
For any non Lol fans theres is only thing you need to know about Phreak , he never has or will have any mana.
thank you that is all
Don't forget that he has TONS OF DAMAGE.
I freaking love Phreak to be honest. He's one of the best!

Champ spotlight is basically his show
Welcome to the phreak show
Man I love Phreak.
*FINALLY SOME CONTENT*
Tons of damage
Lmao, I just noticed that phreak had a voice crack on "A QUADRA KILL FOR HUNI"
Very similar to Tobi's "IT'S A DISASTAAAAAA"
This is wholesome
"Sorry Phreak is not here, call me earthquake today cuz im after sjokz" LOL im dead
Holy shit that was good. Got me hooked for 20 minutes straight!
David "Phreak" Turley, League of Legends himself
Phreak is the Chris Metzen of league of legends, he is an essential part of the community.
i cried
Phreak is like the Chris Pratt of the Avengers
but for LCS.
Adauchi nice try. The Guardians aren’t technically Avengers
But I can agree that Phreak has the same charisma of our one true god Starlord
actually didn't know his mouse hand was on left
TONS. OF. DAMAGE.

Nice video!!! Maybe quickshot next??
missing the farm lane pun. undeniably his best pun of all time.
damn they didnt bring up that in earlier champion spotlights "i play *insert champion* as a jungler."
I have his autograph on my limited edition gankplank orange stress ball 😊
Champion spotlight will be empty without Phreak and his dad jokes
