What a great interview. Can’t thank Mr Larry enough for what he’s doing and what he is carrying on. Ate my first Mulberry two days ago from a tiny tree called Grovers Best that we bought from Mr Larry in Dec I think. It was a very tasty MB. We Bought two Apple trees (Cauley, Shell) and three mulberry trees (Illinois Everbearing, Grovers Best) We will continue to do business with him and buying more of his trees. I first learned about Mr Larry on the ”Mississippi Roads” TH-cam Ch. he did a segment on fit to eat and brought several Apple varieties for the Chef to cook with. Thank you for the Interview
Wow I can believe I've never heard of this man. And I'm born and raised in north Mississippi. Amazing!! Thank you so much!! I'll definitely have to contact Mr Stephenson.
+100 for Mr. Larry. Thank you for your inspiration. You need a YT channel for helping southern growers. Where do we get info on buying these apples? We need to preserve this knowledge. 😃🌱🐢
What a super interview with a humble straight forward guy. How can I contact him to get some apple trees. We just purchased 80 acres and are preparing a 2 acre orchard. Thank you!
I was able to get in contact with him yesterday Sunday for email address and recommended me some apples for South Central Alabama he gave me the price per apple tree and the shipping price I was very happy. He did let me know that growing apples in Alabama is South is I was was not easily done but it could be done with the varieties he recommended. Thank you so much for this video this is been very helpful
Awesome video, I have been looking for southern apples for my property in Georgia. I have been propagating all of the different fruit trees on my property here in North Florida to plant at my property in Georgia. I just don't have apples and want some. Thank you so much for the resource.
Excellent. I am most interested in the north gulf coast and only Heirloom I have is Just Fruits and Exotics Joy apple. My shell apple did not make, but the joy did. The exotic Anna was my best, but Hurricane Sally uprooted it and I just got another one last year.
@@FlomatonFamous I believe you got joy from me when I dropped off the pear scions. The two mulberries are doing well. The casava has not yet budded out.
Do any of you know what a horse apple is ? My aunt had a apple tree that had giant apples I would say half the size of a dinner plate and they were red green with like rust speckles . I remember biting into one and there was very little flavor and not sweet .
Excellent. This video should be deposited with the Library of Congress.
Thank you!

Yes, Larry has Horse in his collection.
The callers pear is invasive here in South Georgia. They take over and have large thorns .
I kinda like seeing the wild Callery now. I just want to run out and graft them over to fruiting pears lol.
Opal apples are really good for you
I love the Opal apples, I don't think they will grow here.
