My husband and I spent two hours here in May. We were on a two week holiday from the UK, staying in Fremont St. We are both in our 50’s, so the 80’s and 90’s are nostalgic to us. This made the two hours here pure bliss! Not all machines are working on a daily basis, which is to expected due to their age, but boy, is it fun and a real trip down memory lane ❤

Thanks for sharing! It's definitely a walk down memory lane, and a pretty cheap way to kill a few hours on the strip!

Just went last week. Had an absolute blast , so many machines from early to modern. Guys were going around constantly repairing units. Had a chat with them and they were super cool. Obviously it’s a full time job keeping these things in working order.

Yeah I can't imagine how they get replacement parts for machines that are 50+ years old ...

I’ve been going since it opened and they are the best. Anyone who has a complaint should do some inward soul searching. I’ve had hundreds of hours of fun hear and if a game wasn’t working then find another one. Haven’t been since they changed locations and I’m excited to visit in the new building.

I never visited the old one, but I went to the new one again this past May and it was great fun!

been a few times and it's fun to see pins you'd otherwise never get to play but many of the games weren't set up properly.

I met the original owner of this place before he was the one who services the machines. He might have retired. Not many ppl have the knowledge to run a place like this one.

This reminds me of the pinball machines you'd find at 7-11 or the laundromat or in some random location; they might not have been completely level, or a thumper bumper or flipper wasn't working all the time, but you were just so dang happy to be playing, you kind of overlooked those faults.

This place is unfortunately one of the most debated topics in the pinball hobby. For people that don’t own machines at home or are not in the hobby, they might think this place is the best example to visit in our great country. This place is known because it’s in Vegas and it has an amazing amount of games. Other than that, most people in the hobby are NOT fans. But, everyone has an opinion. 😂

Interesting! I will admit to being more of a casual pinball fan than a hobbyist, but there are definitely much better maintained pinball collections out there.
Also just checked out your channel and subbed! Looks great.

The staff are volunteers I believe.
...The owner, Tim Arnold, has donated quite a bit of money to the Salvation Army over the years.
...There are several threads on Pinside that have excellent info on the whole situation.
...the one thing I don't understand. Building a mega-sized building for the pinball machines, but not making an area for storage and an area for the major repairs. I find that very bizarre.

Well, I'm not sure how often the repairs do happen given how much was out of order for how long.

I do like they have some space between machines, a bit of elbow room.
Some places put their machines too close together.

      Mm that's a good point!

I have been to the Pinball Hall of Fame twice and had fun both visits. However, a disappointingly huge number of the games there are in a terrible state of disrepair. This can be seen in your video. The dark games without power are not the only problem, as many games also tend to be "on/working" but do not function properly and/or take money without play time. Combined with the staffing issues, suffice to say that there are far better classic arcades out there.

Do they still have 50 cent popcorn?

i've never been, but i have several friends who have been and told me similar stuff about the owner and staff. Hear he's a real POS and threatens to kick people out for light nudging. also more than half the games are down in this video. Doesn't surprise me at all

It's the polar opposite of galloping ghost pinball, believe it or not!

Well yeah... GG is focused on arcade games rather than pinball. Having been to GG I can say that it's way too crowded with not much room to play anything without smelling your neighbor.@@GojiGuy
