Pro tip: leaving the beauty cover off of your engine will allow it to stay cooler which will allow it to perform at its best. The beauty cover is only for noise & I don't think you're worried about noise lol. By removing the beauty cover will also shave 5 pounds off of your gross vehicle weight. This will give 1/1000 th of a second better quarter-mile track time.
Thanks, I just got a 2010 IS 250, noticed the prior owner had a catch can zipped to the rad with a flappy bracket. Kinda annoyed at the bracket placement, but cool I already have one. That RR racing unit is a much cleaner install.
I had one hooked up in my wife’s old optima & still need to transfer it to my 250. Your setup definitely looks a lot cleaner then all the other setups that place the catch can in front of the radiator… 👍

just want to recommend that you use a different type of hose. Those that you are using when they get hot in the engine bay tend to become mushy and collapse do to the vacuum force created by the intake manifold. This causes your engine to not breath very well and can lead to engine stalls. I found hoses at home depot which are meant for water (SHARK BITE HOSES) red or blue. Those don't collapse like those black ones you have. I have an 08 is250 and man what a difference this oil catch can makes. My can is a bit different though, mines has 3 ports. 1 for air intake, 2nd air outlet and a 3rd outlet port in the bottom with a small release valve which lets me attached a hose to it. When my can is full I just open the valve and empty out the excess oil out without having to remove my can out of the engine bay. Nice Lexus IS250 by the way and great video!. Thank you!!
Hey, would you mind telling me how much your oil catch can was? I’ve owned my is250 for a couple months now and i’m just now getting around to making sure it’s running perfectly. I have to change my brakes and fluids as far as I know.

With the vland headlights there’s a fuse you need to unplug underneath the steering wheel near the code reader plug in spot the fuse was for the self leaving for the stock headlights

you may need to trim ythe bracket to realeave the vacume line that can break the intake manifold and cut a relief for a sway bar through engineering it you run a swaybar as you dont want that catchcan braket hitting or resting against anything.

Seen this same "AOS" on other videos.. But it's not really an air-oil-separator. It's just an oil catch can. A true AOS separates the oil and put it back into the system so you don't have to drain it. This literally just catches dirty oil in a can. Literally an oil catch can

I got it on my 13 gs350 and Holy crap the oil it catches its insane, 2 months it was halfway just daily driving.

did you have a problem bolting the bracket down with the OEM bolt mine is too short and i need a longer one, anyone have this issue
Is it true that if you do full synthetic oil changes every 4000 miles that will help with the carbon build up problem obviously not fix but just help

I didn’t get one at all. The install was smooth in that aspect lol

I did see about a quarter or a little more already in the can. An I wasn’t really driving it too much either.
