So the steam mode failed on the first one they sent me. After jumping through some hoops they sent me a new one and i sent the old one back and it has worked well ever since. Today I was curious if theyve released a V2 or any upgrades and while the advertisement pages still exists. It looks like eufy doesnt even have it cataloged for sale anymore? No mention of why it was discontinued. Id love to know what happened.
This happened to me for both units I had, the second one's steam failed almost instantly, EUFY advised me its a common issues across all the V1 models and hesitantly avoided with providing me with a third replacement device and provided a full refund itself. It's a shame given how well it was working when it worked well.
Do you feel this vacuum wants to get away from you with its self propelling system? I just bought the Tineco s5 Steam and it kinda does that, also, can you control when it puts water on the floor? Upon using this one i noticed the purpose of the air stream on the back gets defeated by not being able to control the water flowing when you go on the backwards stroke and just wet what you just dried out
Great questions! I didn't notice it getting away from me, but I wish now I had paid more attention to that to feel if there was any pull. It's not something I recall from my initial time with the device. As for the water flow, I don't recall. being able to set this and do remember thinking that the floor was wetter than I expected. Moreso because it had a tendency to drop a puddle when you turned it off, or on the final movement. Would be interested to hear other's experiiences on this, so hopefully we get some more comments.
@@motivatedtravel I appreciate the feedback, yeah dude S5 steam is pretty bad in that regards, pulls a lot, like a horse the wants to go its way and you keep trying to gain control, to the point that i dont know if am going to get used to it, and my second option is the Mach V1 Ultra, the problem i have with it is the battery life long term and some other things, but that one mainly, specially that I intend to use it all the time with steam and the air from the back to quick dry. That puddle of water then i think happens to all of the more or less water because i got some water left behind when i lift it to get it to the base to self clean What happened to it, did you only get it to review it? i thought that either you bought it or they gave it to you to review it and keep it
@@motivatedtravel Why would you choose the g1 over this specifically for mopping if you don’t mind me asking 🤔 Only ask because this (on paper atleast) appears to beat the g1 in almost every metric (longer run time, steamer, nicer lcd screen, forward motor etc)
@@Natak222 It's really easy to use and clean, has a cool-water system that agitates the surface and gets up messes quite well. But I do feel the G1 is over-priced. It should be a $100 at least cheaper.
@@motivatedtravelAppreciate the feedback. Recently bought the g1 so was curious if i’d made the wrong choice. Do agree about price however. Keep up the great reviews regardless
No you can go from one to the other I believe. It was a while ago when I filmed this, but you can definitely steam carpet and then go straight to your floor. I would do carpet first.

I haven't heard of anything specifically, but next time I'm in contact I will ask and get back to you.

Wash G1 or Mach V1 Ultra.... which would you choose if you had to pick one?
Well the Wash G1 is mopping specific, so if I didn't need to vacuum as well, I think I would go with it. Otherwise the Mach.

@@motivatedtravelyou would still go the G1 even though it only uses cold water?
Can you do carpet and floor together? Or do you have to dry and clean it?

Thanks seems more nosier too compared to Dyson this really helped in my decision making 😊
Glad I could help! I can't honestly tell you difference in sounds as it was a fair gap between when I used them.
Hi mate has the steam failed yet or still working fine?
This was a review unit sorry Shaun, I didn't have it long term so can't say if or when it would have failed, sorry.
Dont buy it. It will fail and they will refuse your warranty as user fult.
Sounds like you had a bad experience?
Same here. Mine broke and they refused to fix it water inlet gets jammed up inside the handle. Bad Design flaw.
