- I sail of the anchor, and explaining what I do along the way . then I sail home.
Anchorage : 60°04'15.5"N 5°31'30.9"E
I've noticed that i hav had a issue with low audio levels in many of the videos this season. I hav started to use a different computer to edit some of my video, and when i play the video on that computer the audio is fine but on many other devices it seems very low. i do apologise for this.
it seems this computer sometimes corrupt some of my rawfootages, if I use my ordinary computer to pull the files of the sd card and om to my storage devices. when editing the video files on this new computer they somtimes get corrupted. this happened to most of my recordings from the trip to this ancorage.
I truly believe that this vas the root cause of the problems I did encounter in the beginning of this season. so looking back, i might have thrown away a perfectly good sd card.
It is a great anchorage. One suggestion, add a downhaul to the anchor ball and cleat to bow. That way you wont have to wrap/unwrap halyard. Thanks for the voice-over details, I have trouble sailing off a dock, not sure I should tackle an anchor.
That is a very good idea, I have a attachment point for the down haul system for the spinnaker . And adding a line to the "anchorball" will be in accordance with my argument for using a fender as an anchor ball. It will be quicker and easier to use it as a extra fender in a pinch.
Sailing of the anchor is mutch easier than sailing of the dock in my opinion. But in any case planning is key.
Thanks for watching and commenting. Best regards from Jarle
Ps i use an internal sd card reader.
@@StemtoSternSailing I'll try to post my sailing off the dock fails. The location of the dock on the lake is part of the problem (in a cove where the winds can shift better than 100 deg.) So I'll set up on one side with the current wind conditions, then it will shift, now I am on the wrong side of the dock. Heh.
Snart vår og sesong igjen på deg. Flott seiling.
Takk takk .
Are you using an sd card reader (internal or external) or are you downloading from your camera via an usb cable (or similar)? I download gopro via usb cable, but I rarely talk, so I pay little attention to my audio levels. I have had to boost your videos through a stereo, but its worked out ok in the end. Now, back to viewing ....
Thanks for this feedback. Its been an annoyance this season. I have used a new computer for editing. And when I editt the videos I put the audio level to what seems ok on that computer. But when i stream the video of TH-cam it is way too low. Im trying to solve the problem, maybe it will be better on the next videos. But I dont know if its been enough yet.
Appreciate this feedback.
Have a nice weekend.
Best regards from Jarle
@@StemtoSternSailing Maybe try another editing program or play back the edited video on VLC or something else then what you normally use. Good luck, a lot of channels have audio troubles. You have your music mixed very well, its not over-bearing and dominate which I like.
@@olivei2484 thanks. I tried to stream this video on the computer i edited it on. And the audio level was fine just like when i edited it on that computer, anywhere else it is too low. Im going to try re edit it on my old computer and re boost the volume. I always edit to the maximum audio level just shy of the clipping level. I guess this will solve the problem. If not I'll have a chat with the IT dude at work. But thanks for the tips. Im running the same editing program on both computers.
Thanks for the feedback on the music.
Enjoy your weekend, I hope to spend mine at the boat yard.
