- Highlighter pens were invented in the 1960s as a way to grab a reader's attention. Today, highlighters are made with tinted plastic pellets that are melted into pen molds. Once assembled, a machine has the pens draw 700 to 1000 circles to make sure the batch works properly.

I want to know about the companies that design all the equipment needed to make these products. Every time I see a “how it’s made” video it seems like all the machines are unique and made specifically to suite each product. That takes some serious intelligence and creativity
They indeed are made specifically for that product. For that matter, a lot of these industrial machines are bespoke just for that one factory (especially considering how many things are only made at one or two factories on Earth!). The profession that does this is an industrial engineer. My uncle is one and he's one of the most interesting people to talk to. I've asked him leads of questions over the years. There's so many variables involved in these machines and most of them are made in very small batches (or are one of a kind) and there'll only be a handful of people on Earth who know all the ins and outs of them.
For these specific ones, they took a marker and made the whole machine around it!

It it such a vibrant color that I can’t read the text anymore

I am not amazed how the highlighter pens are made, I am amazed on the engineer who designed this kind of machine not just pens but also every possible products made in the factory.

This all made sense when I saw this. I bought two brand new packages of highlighters and they were both dry.
They only use one highlighter from each new misture of ink :v they don't test all the highlighters (It would take too long)

Plus I think you mistook my question. It’s not about stealing or permission, insider is a big company, they’d never do that. It’s about laziness. Normally, they take time to research, edit or even try things out for themselves. This right here is pure laziness. They could’ve at least added their own text or music but here they just cut out the original video, added an intro and an end, they didn’t even bother shortening it down. Hence the “instead of making your own content”.
