He wasn't always Saul Goodman, ace attorney for chemist-turned-meth dealer Walter White. Missed Mike's incredible character growth moment in that Mexican pueblo in season 5 (which likewise expanded Gus's character a bit too)
This show is absolutely brilliant, it’s kinda sad how under appreciated it is compared to other shows. It’s seriously one of my favorites of all time.

Great video, but I have one issue/nitpick: 16:50 you say Lalo *offered* Jimmy $100,000, but what really happened was: Lalo said that jimmy didn’t have to do it, and he could just find someone else, but at the last second, jimmy said “$100,000” meaning it was completely his choice to get the money, something I only noticed when I rewatched season 5 this week.
I think saying he doesn't have to do it implicates that he can do it if he wants... which is basically an offer.
I absolutely love the flash-forwards of “Jean Takovich” and Jimmy’s life after Breaking Bad. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for this break away part of the story in season 6, or if it will end with Walter White making an appearance cause that would just be nostalgic…
Perharps Saul part ends when he meets Walt and Jesse and then the show finish with gene
The show’s not building up to Walter, so it can’t end there. It’s gotta go into the Gene story.
for real, I honestly found those short clips of him in Nebraska most interesting of all, not sure after Better Call Saul is over they are going to have a 3rd Series about Jimmy's life on the run but I sure hope so, or maybe a movie like they had El Camino

Pryce is my favourite character. He's like if my whiny younger brother became a drug dealer, and treated everyone like he talks to my mom.
Kim doesn’t take another client cause she’s “struggling to pay for the office with Jimmy out of work”. Jimmy was still pulling in his share, Kim was trying to satisfy Kevin cause he asked for her to help out a friend of his.

I'm beginning to feel that BCS has a richer story than BB itself..
I think so, too, but Breaking Bad will always have the upper hand, because we didn't know what to expect from it. We were introduced to some boring teacher, who descended from a normal family life into absolute insanity and chaos. That's something Better Call Saul will never be able to recreate. We already know who the characters in BCS are and what we'll get from those whom we don't know.

Although, I love the new characters and am intrigued as to how it leads into Breaking bad. Plus all the backstories are just amazing.
everything is just so fucking detailed and there’s no gaps anywhere, but yeah I think the character development in Breaking Bad is just something that can’t really be recreated. both 10/10.
@@tarunmood Totally. I'm sure there are some plot holes if you look close enough, but to me it looks like everything is written so precisely. I'm sure you would see a paperclip being dropped in BCS if somebody picked one up in BB. Just an extraordinary series, I can't wait to see how it ties in to BB and hopefully continues after that.
Here's to hoping that we'll get another spin off after the events of BB, once season 6 of BCS has ended.

8:27 The way Chuck used the tape to get to take down Jimmy, knowing the tape itself isn't worth enough, reminds me of how Hank convinced Walt that the car he used to bury the money had a GPS, which was not true anymore of such cars. Just as the tape wasn't good enough, neither was the car, but they were both used to scare the target enough to produce an actual case.

I gotta be honest, Better Call Saul really does enhance breaking bad in many significant ways, it's like a piece of literature, that will be analyzed in the future in many interesting ways
Although, we watch this for fun and also because it's great, but unfortunately if this does gets analyzed it will become a chore to students due to how slow the shows can be for most of the time
This recap is great, i have just one issue: 17:44 you say that Lalo accepts Kim's explanation, but he doesn't, Kim's point is that Lalo didn't trust his own people to do the job and that he needed to get his house in order instead of distrusting Jimmy who had saved him. While Lalo is smart and knows there is something shady going on with Saul, he listens to Kim, and that is why he puts Nacho to the test.
Another great recap! This channel is criminally undersubscribed. At the *very* least, you deserve a silver plaque, if not a gold one. 👍
Best recap out there by a long shot. Only mistake I spotted is that Mike never actually assumes Tuco's gun was his. He just states to the prosecution that the gun wasn't Tuco's... making it implicit he was forced into that position.

I love the contrast of fans for this show. When the show started and probably through the first 3 seasons everyone was ready and wanted to see him become Saul, but by the 6th season people are genuinely horrified (myself included) in his transformation from Jimmy to Saul!
