This was actually very informative. I mean, I knew the thing about sweet potatoes being yams, but the cooking part was very informative! Who knew that they sweated starch? I didn't!
I actually knew that Yams were sweet potatoes because I don't live in an English speaking country and we learned that in school when we learned about Thanksgiving :) I just love your vlogs and "cooking shows", Kat. It's one of my favorite things to watch on TH-cam

This is literally the most relatable thing I've watched in so long. And now I'm at the point where I know that the things labeled yams are sweet potatoes, but STILL. Still I spend far too long in the produce aisle worrying that I'm buying the wrong thing.
I highly recommend buying an 8 inch chef's knife and a good quality cutting board. If you're going to get in to cooking you really need a good quality chef's knife.
