Once again, i had fun listening to the video (mostly) during the last week's painting. This is a solid release by Battlefront. This makes me look forward to the German and British infantry, Peter mentioned during an interview with the MFA guys. But i guess those will be a year or more until we see those.
Just got my boxes: The Russian box gets the mentioned heavy weapons sprue including enough bases to build all weapon teams (i was wondering how they would do this). The Marines box gets you a bunch of free desert storm theme tokens, the M60 bits are (sadly) resin, the crew models for all HMMVV variants are included (incl Stingers). The unit cards are odd, you get every Marines related card Harriers, AA7VP, LAV-AD; UH-1s, not a bad thing of course, but usually you only get what's in the box. Let me quote a note, that i found funny, because you literally mentioned it in the video: " Rifle Platoons can have either the AA7VP transports or UH-1 helicopters. Until you have decided which transport option you want (!) you can simply field the helicopter and leave them liotering of the table.
With its mighty four-person capacity. As I understand it, the USMC use it in a cavalry capacity rather than an APC capacity. The dismounts are for scouting purposes.
@@breakthroughassault4791 rog, well, wiki shows it 3+6, some variants of the lav-25 go to 8 pax cargo. armoured cav and recce in force screen tasks can conduct raids, ambushes, maintaining contact etc. while admittedly cav doctrine is kinda bizarre I think there is definitely scope for a lav 25 to serve as a troop transport in the conduct of a fighting patrol. just a thought. idk how it would work out in TY with the game's limitations. flames has armoured recce groups and smaller troop transports. like the german 250.
Well technically the Sea Stallion and Sea Knight are on the BF Airassault PDF and the cut outs count as legal models. So the cost for the USMC transport is next to zero.

Would love to see a video talking about what we might get in the Pacific expansion of FoW
Something to discuss!
Yeah the transport option for USMC is very spendy!
not a player just an observer. weird they dont let you use the lav 25 as a transport for marines cus it is one
