- RESCUING 18 ABUSED HAMSTERS From 1 TINY CAGE!! (SAD)
In this video I start the rescue process of 18 dwarf hamsters from an ad on craigslist where they are all in 1 small 20 gallon aquarium. All hamsters require 450sq in. of floor space and currently 18 hamsters are sharing 300sq in. These hamsters are winter white dwarf hamsters and although in the wild live together it is unnatural in captivity to do so. These hamsters don't have a wheel, sand bath, bedding, or proper food. I need all of your help to get this video out to more people, so we can get these hamsters into proper forever homes and out of this abuse! The hamsters thank you and so do I for watching and supporting this video.

I don’t understand why people leave tons of hamsters in such a small cage , yes they are small but that doesn’t mean they can be left in small spaces .
Yeah, and on top of that not even having the proper things in the cage. . .it's terrible

@@itsaweakerslifeashleymissy8204 well if they are trying to find them homes on Craigslist, they ARE doing something. That area is a poorer part of the state so you can stop acting like you know everything about a person's situation when you don't know anything.

A normal pet owner doesnt have 18 in 1 cage . so them being backyard breeder or just bought em to flip

I live in Massachusetts, and if these hamsters are still in this situation, I would REALLY recommend reaching out to the Dakin humane society, they are great, and I'm currently fostering a hamster from them.

Make sure your betta gets atleast 5 gallon. He also will be happier if you put natural substrate and real plants in the aquarium. Hope this helps:)

My hamster’s exotic vet told me to get rid of my sand bath because he itches a lot with it. It’s all natural Fluker’s reptile sand, but it concerns me because he loves it.

I used to live in CT and I know that the humane society in Newington used to sometimes have small animals.
I feel like reporting it to animal control but I don’t know the situation. I don’t know if that person is a kid who does not know that much and the hamsters accidentally gave birth or something.

(btw you helped me learn better info about bettas and i had mine in a temporary 1/2 gallon until i could get a 10 gallon. she now lives with tetras and snails and loves it! she is also very gorgeous. light purple with a rosey pink and dark blue fins with light blue spots and her gils are dark red!) but yeah, thank you for spreading proper care about all different kinds of animals!
Hey I think the ct humane societys can take at least a few of them and they have two right now in one location. I also have seen many hamsters come and go from their website. Finally there are multiple locations. Hope this was helpful

I found a rescue called Small Angels which doesn't have a certain shelter as it is mainly foster homes , I'm not sure if it is near the hamsters but I really want to get these babies away from that household and into new loving homes with proper care . I hope this helps!

My beta had been really lethargic and has fin rot. I added some almond leaves and am changing his water every other day. I just got some api betafix because of the good reviews. I watched your what to get your betta and you said it was good for them. But then I watched your answering most asked questions and there you said it wasn’t good for them. What should I do??

With hamsters I had 4 two males from an official pet store two females from what I believe was “shop” doing it for money I believe my girls was younger than expected but surprisingly they lived the longest... self taught but hamsters shouldn’t be cramped together they will fight and hurt possibly kill each other o had to separate my girls into separate cages they like and need to have a lot of space for themselves. Really need to get licenses in order to sell any kind of pet because I also learnt that sadly hamsters that are bought cheaply and from unlicensed sellers end up as snake food which I totally disagree with. I wish I was in that country to adopt them all. Such easy pets but unfortunately we have a world of majority of people obsessed with greed and power I’m not sure what kind of rescues there is in your country but I’m thrilled there’s many in my own that takes them on I just hope they all get the space and love they need hope for a pleasant update. Just be careful it’s not a breeding farm and there’s so much of that with all sorts of species. And the fact that make sure people can be able to take care of any pet because I read a lot of domesticated pets thrown out and can’t survive it’s disgusting in my eyes I disagree but there’s a small amount of people like yourself that’s trying to end such cruelty and making awareness to all sorts of pets too. They don’t have a voice - we have to be their voice. Much love sent to you! Hoping for a pleasant update on the beautiful little darlings!

Maybe they got their kid 2 dwarfs to live with each other as that is what pet stores recommend even though it is false information and the pet store messed up while sexing them so they got a male and female hamster and a couple of weeks \ days later the hamsters had babies and they are trying to sell the parents and the babies as they can't handle them ? Just my idea on what could have happened I might be wrong tho

I havent read every comment yet so please bare with me if I am repeating someone..as a rescuer of everything myself I have been told that the problem with doing these mass rescues is that it promotes these kinds of people's business.I hear " they will just go out and breed more" thank you for doing what you do and how you do it..I have a young friend who wants to post you a art piece ..a " spirit picture" she calls them..cheers..T.Bird..( a fish enthusiast)
The person isn't selling them as far as I can tell. No asking price. It was probably just an accidental litter.

They look to be younger then 8 weeks and it that's the case then if there all together that's okay. But the cage is just not acceptable on any level

I'm not sure how far away you are from me but I would gladly adopt one of the hamsters if you can get ahold of them. I can easily go out and buy the proper equipment.

Hi. I’ve been watching your channel for quite some time! That is terrible, hopefully the hamsters all find proper homes. I myself have hamsters, I have been keeping hamsters for many years now, I wish I lived closer I’d take them all in, I’m all the way in the Midwest. I like taking in aggressive hamsters that many people don’t want, there was a hamster that was in a animal shelter for weeks and was turned down due to people wanting it for there kid, probably would have gone in a critter trail, since he bites they didn’t want him. I went in there and he didn’t even bite me lol, I took him home. But unfortunately he didn’t live long as he was already a adult and they don’t have the longest life spans. I currently have 2 hamsters now. 1 of my hamsters I have is actually the last one from a group of 3 I took in back in 2018 I took in 3 Syrian hamsters from a local animal shelter and 2 were already over a year old and were brought in to the shelter in critter trails and like you said they use what they come in, but they had those 2 brought in, than there was the one I still have she was brought in as a stray and estimated to be around a year as well, the others have passed away since than. She’s still living but is near the end, I can tell but she’s almost 4 years old which is really old for a Syrian. I’ve never had any dwarfs but I plan to and I love the little winter whites and robo dwarfs. Also I subscribed and keep up the videos!
Maybe you can buy them and then sell them to friends, family, and just people who are interested

Breeders are not allowed on Craigslist so I take a screenshot of the map and see if you keep on saying the same area on the map and then I flag them

Ahh those poor lil hamsters :( I was actually looking for a hamster but I don’t live in America otherwise I would’ve totally adopted one😭 I will try to spread the word to some of my American-living friends :) Do you think it’s possible to ship the hamsters to Canada? I would take one immediately if so.
