I'm glad people like you who truly cares about hamsters are still exists. Hamsters are so underrated, they are not a toy or 'easy pet' like most people think they are 😢
Thank you for spreading hampter awareness. My previous hamster I adopted at 3.5week, since then she didn’t lived well and has been sick all this while. Very small and weak immune system. She didn’t survive long. And only to realised that Syrian hamsters should be readily adopted after week5 as advised from doctors too. I hope the babies will be strong and healthy!
When I was 12 my dad got me two hamster boys and they were siblings. I knew that we should separate them once they’re older, but as soon as I did that they stopped being active and they looked kinda depressed and when I put them back in they cuddled up and went to sleep right away. We didn’t separate them until they died 2 and half years later 😢 Edit: I’ve got my two hamsters when they were still babies I didn’t put them together when they’re adults, but as soon as they gotten older I separated them and they got depressed and stayed like that for a couple of days until I put them back together. I don’t recommend forcing Syrian hamsters to live together because they’ll fight to death of course. That only happened with those two brothers and never again
Them wanting to stay together is not the same as you forcing them together 🐹 It is super rare for hamsters to get along that well... I saw hamsters of different species be forced to get along due to a miniature cage and nothing to be "territorial" over...😔 it's sad
I’m surprised by how calmly you handle these comments. I had to stop posting my hamster pics online because I wouldn’t stop getting called an animal abuser because everyone becomes an animal expert on animal videos.

I’m so happy I got my hamster at the right time, I adopted her when she was almost 3 months old, and she had only recently been separated from her final siblings so now she’s really friendly and social :)
When I first got my hamster, she was like 2 months old. At the pet story, she had 2 more hamsters with her, but she was very aggressive and skittish. She never attacked the hamsters, though, but when my dad was trying to put her in her cage, she bit him. I was kinda scared because I did wanna hold her without being bit, but I was bit, and I ended up taming her. Whenever I pick her up, she just wants to run all over me because she absolutely loves running. But I’m just glad I have her more tame then when I first got her.
@@Julia.R. aww! I’ve had my hamster since august last year and she’s pretty tame but she doesn’t like to snuggle or sleep on me. She’s always moving, and when she’s staying still, I always have to get a picture.
In the 10 years every hamster i had was different, one needed 3 months to tame the others were tame already but they all did nibble but didn't bite through skin so it's important they understand hands aren't food or to bite but after having hand full with food nibbling happens once and awhile
@@maxie12146 i never have seen a hamster sitting still and sleeping unless the hamster sat still and did a pee. This hamster exactly after 10 minutes out stopped walking and did pee so i learned to return the hamster around 9 minutes.
Hamsters learn the basics of all socialization when separated into the two sexes. They learn how to play, how to fight, and how to forrage during that time. So recap: Separate into the two sexes at 4 weeks and separate individuals at 6 weeks. ^_^
The most cutest part, I love when the baby hamster licking the glass! When I even watch these babies, I would had a dream of them! They are so chunky and fluffy and adorable and even extre chubby, I'm glad all of the cat and hamster are healthy enough, if it's hot weather must drink a lot of water, I hope you are safe, Stay safe, We love you KumaQQ💖😍🥰💝
Sad thing is, glass licking is a sign of stress. That many being crowded into tiny containers is very stressful on them. They do that to make them look cute for video.. Always use a large bin or container with room for them to spread out and move when cleaning home or separating.
I will speak for all of us here, we all want hamster's to stick together. But you are correct. It's always fun to have many hamster's on a table in front of you with all of them running around with each other.
Very helpful video and I didn't know you could have this many boys at once. They are very social and then turn violent I guess. This batch is just as cute as the last batch.
I noticed this but I figured you were knowledgeable enough to know when was the proper time to separate them. You take such good care of these little darlings 🥰
I had a friend that rescued 4 female sibling hamsters with their momma (the owner was a breeder who unfortunately died suddenly and unexpectedly so all their hamsters had to be rehomed). She was originally just going to keep one of the babies and help rehome the other 3 babies once they were a bit older (the momma was already adopted, she just needed to stay with the babies for a week or two longer) and started to not get along. Well, the sisters just never stopped getting along and so she just kept them together in a pretty impressive enclosure (it was very big and very nice) until they all eventually passed. When I met them she only had 2 as the other 2 had passed due to old age and the remaining 2 were definitely elderly though very sweet. She had said that her and her older sister had kept groups of brothers together before but that had been the only time they had seen a larger group of sisters actually get along long term.
I love the white one with black eyes and silvery grey ears at 0:55 LOL. I haven't had hamsters since I was around 16. Got my first one from the Junior High school Library when he was 6 to 8 weeks old and he lived to be close to 3 years old if not 3 years old. I definitely advocate for proper small animal care, people to do A LOT of their own research instead of relying on the incorrect information that so many people have gotten from pet stores and backyard breeders/rodent mills. I wish people would support the local ethical and responsible breeders because they do spend so much of their time and money working towards genetically and temperamentally stable animals. 💗
Thank you for sharing this. I doubt that Clementine will breed but in case I get more hamsters in the future this will help. All hamsters are looking very cute. More boys this time it appears! Haha 😄

Very good advice, can agree with all of it! I love my 4 hamsters, all have their own individual detolf enclosures. They love snuggling up to my chin (ofc by themselves, free roam time is always separated and it takes me like 4 hours an evening!) I have two Syrians, one Robo and one Hybrid... After though I'll only be sticking to dwarf species because I feel more attracted towards my Robo and Hybrid (ideally would like to keep either purebred winter white or campbell in future tho for the sake of the ethical side of things and the health side, and to not support those who just breed for the sake of it!)
Most of these comments were tame, but honestly I was so confused by like 2 of them because it's obvious that the creator has been doing this for a long time and has experience. Sucks that you've got some of those comments. I love your videos and I learn a lot from them!
I think my Hamster was separated too early. He was a vicious little bugger. Loved him all the same. But he was out for blood if you tried picking him up or even petting him. I called him Stitch, thinking back now, Leroy probably would have fit better.
While it's usually best to separate hamsters, there have been a few, rare, times when I was able to keep hamsters together with no problems. It depends largely on their temperament. When I had my first hamsters it was around 20 years ago I think. Hamtaro was a popular anime at the time and it made me decide to try owning a hamster. I didn't have internet at the time and there wasn't much information about hamsters outside of internet. So I didn't know about not putting hamsters together. I found an orange and white male I named Hamtaro and then a white greyish male I named Oxnard. I was lucky. These two got along and were best friends just like in the show. I learned in later years that you shouldn't put hamsters together but there were rare occasions they got on well together. I have two dwarfs of different sex and breed living together now. They don't breed and they get on well, so I'm lucky there.
Did they play fight at all? I have two golden hamster sisters who have been together their whole lives and they hate to be apart but sometime they will roll each other around and I just wanna make sure that it won’t result into them wanting to kill each other.
I have rare hamster babies, my Hammy babies r now like 5months old and they still wont fight. Their mom didnt Care so much abt the babies, so i think thats why they still live togheter
I had hamsters. They were from the same nest and grew up together. When they were old enough to separate them from their mother I kept 4 of them. They never fought, shared food, play and slept together. After 3,5 years one by one died. The last one died at age 4.

My hampter's babies love cuddling and playing with each other! The thing is, my mom gave all but one baby hamster away. The sad part is the owner didn't know hamsters were solitary. 😢 THEY KILLED EACH OTHER EVEN THE MOM AND THE DAD
I found this video really educational, it is fun but very informative and correct in the ages where the hamsters need to be separated by sex, then separated for good, really excellent and you are a fabulous person loving your animals as you do
some people dont understand that it also depends on the personality, I had two hamsters who lived always together for years and even slept and cuddled together
maybe you can weed out the gene that makes hampstersh aggressive like that study with the fox domestication thing i hope one day we get social hamster buddies
Lol I got two hamster and honestly I immediately put them in, they didn’t get along with each other first, now they lay on top of each other cuddling😂😅
I have had my two hamsters in the same cage ever since I've gotten them, due to my family not able to get them both their own homes. But they have been together for most likely their whole life in the pet-shop, but thank you for posting this video.
I don't imagine any of the commenters pretending to be hamster experts and calling you a bad owner are now coming out to apologize. Sadly, I think people are less likely to reflect on their actions online cuz of lack of direct consequences, so I don't think they'll change. They'll just go about their day pretending to be an animal expert to others, even those more experienced and better educated, just to make themselves feel smart. It'd be great for some scientists to do some more studies on these kinds of people.
I do the same with my own baby hammies. If we separate them to young, they become sick easily and has no socialization, which I think is important too.
I'm glad people like you who truly cares about hamsters are still exists. Hamsters are so underrated, they are not a toy or 'easy pet' like most people think they are 😢

I Love Hamsters
Lol I got two hamster and honestly I immediately put them in, they didn’t get along with each other first, now they lay on top of each other cuddling😂😅
I have had my two hamsters in the same cage ever since I've gotten them, due to my family not able to get them both their own homes. But they have been together for most likely their whole life in the pet-shop, but thank you for posting this video.
I LIKE HOW KUMA GIVES GUNS TO THE HAMSTER IN 0:22 XD
I don't imagine any of the commenters pretending to be hamster experts and calling you a bad owner are now coming out to apologize. Sadly, I think people are less likely to reflect on their actions online cuz of lack of direct consequences, so I don't think they'll change. They'll just go about their day pretending to be an animal expert to others, even those more experienced and better educated, just to make themselves feel smart. It'd be great for some scientists to do some more studies on these kinds of people.
I do the same with my own baby hammies. If we separate them to young, they become sick easily and has no socialization, which I think is important too.
Floffy marshmallows ❤️❤️🐹🐹❤️❤️🐹🐹
