So I'm just getting into the RCs a little while ago for something me and my nephew to do and once I seen these little engines I had to get one, I'm currently building an RC from scratch all steel for a sled puller/mud bogger...and just to haul my nephews RCs around on a trailer in the woods. I ordered this kit last week to start the builder but I was wondering can you hook up the radiator to this engine? I ordered it because it was in the recommended parts also the dual oil filters but now that I'm looking at it more closely.. it doesn't seem like either are going to work..?
I have to questions, one do you have a video of the building of the motor and also did you use any type of oil to lubricate the pistons as you installed them? Or use any grease and where? I plan to get one that is why I ask.
Hi man. I am new to this hobby and I want to start with this engine. It looks sooo cool. My question is: Can you write a small to must buy list to buy in order to build and run the engine?
Hi Steve I have this motor but a new chassis for it coming soon I think I need to remove the flywheel and put on included flywheel to run this special clutch needed to drive the transmission. Do you know to remove the flywheel( stock one)? Thanks
Great Video. I just built this engine. I ordered from Horizon the OSMG2692 type F glow plugs which l hope are the right ones. I would like to know what voltage to apply to the glow plugs, and where to get wires that will snap on the glow plugs. Also, for the brushless motor, just to run it in the stand (I have same one as yours) can I just connect the battery directly to the starter motor (brushed version)? I see you have nice little "flag terminals" that fit right over the tabs on the starter, what size do I need for that? My starter engine has one red pole near one terminal and the other is not red. Can I assume the red is the marker for Positive? I've also seen videos where the 7.4 volts were not starting these engines before they were broke in, so they used 4S batteries of 15 volts. I have a controller that I got online but it appears to have three banana plugs and I assume it has to be for the older brushless starter motor. I really appreciate any help as I'm stuck until I can get these last pieces of information. Thanks
