Dave you need way more subscribers! I found your channel by accident. I'm coming from Photoshop to Illustrator CS6, so I'm hoping the learning curve isn't too painful. Love the content!
Really appreciate that! The channel has been growing lately but I really need to be uploading more content. Photoshop and Illustrator can be two different beasts but there certainly are some cross over skills that should be transferrable.
I know this is two years old but I just found it. I have already subscribed! I really like your clear concise teaching method and you are very easy to understand. I find the toughest part of illustrator to be figuring out the nomenclature or what a command is being called because adobe likes to do fun things like using "place" to bring an image into a design instead of using "import" like most of the graphic programs on the planet.
Thanks for the kind words about my channel. Totally get your frustration in regards to the naming of features. There are things that I have been doing in Adobe software for years that are muscle memory for me but would be difficult to find if someone didn't know where to look. It also drove me crazy when they switched the way that constrained transformations were handled in Photoshop... I think that was back in 2019 and I still mix up the key command.
Thank you! I am new to AI and it's so confusing. So happy to have found you that clearly explains everything in English. I have been watching videos for months trying to illustrate my children's coloring books. Would you consider a doing a video on underwater scenes? Would love to see what you come up with and there isn't much out there. I'm sure I could learn a lot.
You're very welcome! Apologies for not responding to this comment sooner. Do you have any examples of the style of underwater scene that you're trying to replicate. Or a rough sketch of your own that you've been trying to vectorize in Illustrator? If you could DM me on Instagram that would be great (@designwisdom)

Thanks so much for your videos! Would you mind sharing how you set up your workspace? I really like the flow with how yours is set up in the other tutorials of yours that I have watched!
You're very welcome. To be honest I don't have a custom workspace I just use "Essentials Classic". It's one of the default workspaces and it works for me. Hope that helps.
Perfect! That’s exactly what I was looking for!! I used Illustrator forever ago, so I’m slowly easing back into it. All my tools have moved, so I’m re-learning the workspaces! haha. Thanks again! 💕
