Ive been watching your videos for years and i almost got killed the other night, oncoming honda civic decided to whip a left from the far left lane infront of me, i was doing the speed limit, fingers covering the brakes, didn't even have time to flinch, probably came within 20ft of doing a front flip onto the asphalt. It's really up to other drivers in my mind and theirs nothing you can do about that 😢

This is why I always ride 40 MPH over the posted limit, then I can just pass all of those traffic hazards

I've watched a bunch of Dan's videos now and I have to say I'm ashamed for most motorcyclists. Too many of them bring disaster on themselves with insane speeds, stunts, and generally aggressive riding. Too many of them engage in road rage or berate drivers who made simple mistakes, as if that is going to change anything. Many of them ride beyond their skill level or react poorly to emergency situations like failing to brake or swerve when they should or choosing poor escape routes. Lane splitting looks like a really bad idea, at least the way too many motorcyclists abuse it. I would really like to know what motorcycle safety statistics would look like if all of the shenanigans and inadequate riding skills were taken out of the equation.

I almost got hit the other day, following all of Dan's rules, litterally thinking "red zone" and an oncoming car pulled a left infront of me across 3 lanes and it was within 20ft of me t boning them at 35mph. Didn't even have time to hit the brakes and I litterally always have them covered. You just can't "safety" your way out of all accidents. I'm gonna stick to riding in the dirt where it's 100% my fault for any accidents

@@motodude23 I didn't say that all accidents were avoidable. I was hit while riding a bicycle by a driver who ran a red light. I hit a deer last year with my car, totaling it. The deer jumped up from a ditch and literally dove under my car in a nanosecond. That doesn't change the fact that too many motorcyclists behave badly and buy motorcycles based on status and peer pressure and are too cool to spend time and effort developing basic skills.

@@dirtroadie5747 my friend just bought an r6 and they sent me of a video of him learning to shift it around the parking lot of the apartment complex, im scared, ive been riding since 4 years old and the realization that it's up to other people on public roads is terrifying. I don't want to hear about him getting smooshed. I've seen several fatal motorcycle vs car accidents in person in my life and 2 of them were definitely other drivers fault. That being said I have almost pulled out infront of a bike doing 100+ in a 45 because on my initial glance he was half a mile away. I get nervous everytime I see a bike on the streets. I seen a man stuck in the grill of a f250 and his lady dead yards down the road because the truck made a left turn at night. Single headlights are dangerous and I almost became a victim myself. I just don't want to see that kinda thing happen anymore
