Most people don't see how close Xenoverse and Tenkaichi are to each other. Besides the obvious things like "no beam struggles" it's just a slightly different camera angle.

honestly i wish i could say i could tell the ins and out but this game really makes me feel like im playing BT3 and I love it
I’m not trying to be disrespectful but I really don’t see the similarity at all. There’s a few, like them both being 3D arena fighters. Even the camera angle isn’t the same like you said though. BT3 is pretty much always over the shoulder while XV2 is a lot more free form.
I’m not trying to trash on Xenoverse 2 when I say this, I really enjoy the game and recently have even had an obsession with it, but the BT3 complexity and skill ceiling is so much higher than XV2. The combo strings in BT3 are multitudes more times complicated, the vanish system is much more skill based, instead of being able to vanish whenever you have stamina like in XV2 - in BT3 you only have specific tight windows to vanish and only at certain times in a combo. This makes it harder to evade supers and ultimates. At the same time this forces you to be more picky when you’re on the offensive in BT3 because your opponent can’t just run out of stamina, they can only mess up the timing of the vanish, which means you need to time your supers and ultimates very specifically. Additionally BT3 unlike Xenoverse has so many more defensive abilities other than just guard and vanish. Here are a few to name: Emergency blaster waves, Z-counters, sonic sways, counter stances, offensive vanishes, directional blocking, the advanced movement mechanics can even be used defensively if you have enough experience with the game.
The best way to illustrate the difference is by just opening up the combo list in XV2 vs BT3. There is so much more I could say but I won’t because this comment would get stupidly long.
XV2 is a fun beat em’ up arena fighter that is simple and a good time. BT3 is a competitive arena fighter with complex mechanics that is a good time. Saying they’re similar is like saying that Super Smash Bros and Mortal Combat are similar because they are 2D fighters.
Once again no hate to XV2 I genuinely enjoy it, I have been doing another run through of it the last 4 days or so myself lol, and they’re both GOOD games but very different.
@@conlanvanhook2452 Definitely. Combos were more fleshed out in BT but Tenkaichi is definitely the foundation of Xenoverse. What was clean over the shoulder for combat focus; Xenoverse took it a different route in hopes exploring would be a more major part. Sometimes we get those camera angles still with certain combo strings and in those moments I feel like Tenkaichi shines through.
In some cases though Xenoverse ruined what was a good thing. Like the whole "dodge and weave" mechanic as long as you pressed said button at the right time was much better than spamming guard for the "perfect block". Clashing will always be missed
Also Xenoverse would definitely be more competitive if connections were better and the modders weren't pvping

Xenoverse 2 definitely has a special place in my heart. Although I'm a bit embarrassed to admit it now that I'm a complete DB nerd, this game introduced me to Dragon Ball. It was the first piece of Dragon Ball media I've ever indulged in, and I became a huge fan ever since. Love this game to death man

I played this since the end of 2020 when i saw it being sold on the eShop. Now its on my top 10 list of games i play the most on and it got me into watching DBZ (filler episodes included) and the more recent Dragon Ball Super movies

Xenoverse 2 isn’t a pure fighter .that’s the misconceptions unlike fighterz or sparking zero ..xenoverse 2 is more similar to elder scrolls online or elden ring .. levels matter , PVP, character creation , going on quest / missions with friends online . It’s an RPG fighting simulator. And just like those games I mention it can last this long and keep getting updates like other RPG that live off dlc .. ps elder scrolls online is still getting support to this day also gta 5
Sparking isn’t a pure fighter either
Most of the stuff u see in Sparking Zero trailers is from the old Tenkaichi and Raging blast games first before Xenoverse was even a thought in dev's minds

Sparking zero did not get inspired by xenoverse 2 nor kakarot it got inspired by dragon ball budokai tenkaichi 3 so Sparking zero is tenkaichi 4 and BTW great video i hope you keep enjoying xenoverse 2
Xenoverse 2 is one of those games that keeps you coming back for more even after you done everything. Its so much fun, ESPECIALLY with friends in co-op as well. It is addicting. My favorite part is those community events where you fight a boss and everyone does there part to widdle his health down to zero over time. Always enjoyed those. For me on my fighting skills I am pretty Decent to Pretty Good but certainly not the best or a master. But I am good enough to hold my own.
Ive played this when it dropped. I remeber being so happy when they finally added ssjb after years. Its weird they added ssjb and ssjbe before ssjg but its whatever. I love this damn game

Been playing on the switch with my son I’m a og player and holy the game feels very different then I remember I reached the lvl 120 cap and heard it’s going even further 9/10 love it all over again also more dlc!!! Is confirmed 🥰

Hate to say im in the exact same predicament i bought xenoverse 1 and beat the shit out of it like my ex wife. Then didnt buy this game because it looked exactly the same. Now here in 2024 i finally bought it after hearing about the new dragon ball game.

As someone who played the game at launch back in the day and has played off and on for a long time, I think there's still so much for new players and even old players to come back to now with the game having received tons of DLC, free updates, etc. Raid Events, when they work, are fun and you get cool rewards, I pray that Xenoverse 2 isn't the end of the franchise and that we get a fleshed out third entry of some kind because I believe there's so much still to be done.
honestly i still find it hard to believe this game came out longer than 4 years ago. i have more fun and find more to do in this game then most recent games within the last handful of years. hopefully we get a xenoverse 3 🫶🏻

Eyy welcome to the club! I just got DBXV2 for Christmas last year and I've been trying to grind to get my CACs (a frieze and a saiyan race) up past level 90. Lots of missions you could do and a lot customization. You've come at a good time to, they've been dropping some updates in the last couple years (ssg, ssgss, ssgss evolved, beast, ultra instinct) so you've got some stuff to explore!

I don’t think so. They JUST release dlc 17 with a clear intent for one or two more dlc’s.
This game is great for new players as there is so much to do like literally hundreds of hours especially if you have the DLC as that unlocks even more story and stuff to do in post game(you can adjust volume settings btw, under the options tab then go to game settings) Ive roughly put in 4-6k hrs(like 98% PVE, the PVP isnt so hot lol) my old ps4 with my original save died due to some really shitty circumstances and that save was made when this game came out, I pre ordered it so I was on it the moment it dropped and man it was great, even tho we could only go to Lv80, 10 bars was the max amount of stam/ki you could have, SSJ3/Golden/Turn Giant/Purification/Potential unleashed/Kaioken were base game forms and every evasive skill costed 3 bars of stam(the 2 bar change was such an amazing QoL IMO) the game was just so fun to come back to after a new DLC dropped that even after losing that old save, I still went back and did pretty much everything from scratch(I beat every PQ on my old save, but didnt wanna do it again xD) and currently my save is at 2.7k Hrs with a max lv char
I will say tho, if you dont wanna buy all the DLC and just want the better ones, I'd recommend the Vegito blue DLC(super pack 4), MUI Goku DLC6 (extra pack 2), DLC 7 extra pack 3 is decent for some of the moves, the Gogeta blue DLC (extra pack 4), DLC 9 SSG Vegeta (ultra pack 1), DLC12+13(Legendary pack 1 and 2) DLC14(Conton cirty vote pack), DLC 16 (Justice pack 2) and the latest DLC is probably one of the better ones theyve done as the moves were awesome, the extra story was good and one of the super souls is def top tier as it can be used for any build, any race and any transformation, it also provides a really good dmg boost so out of all them, absolutely get DLC 17 (future saga:chapter one) oh and it also gives you access to the best PQ to grind for XP so theres that too lol

the game is awesome the hate for it is genuinely unjustified it has so much updates and support how you can see the mountains of plusses and complain for the petty. the game is fun each character has a playstyle ... theres too much i can write about how much it has going for it

i play this game for years its very good but its sad that the game is just almost dead very difficult to find people to play this game to do some coop missions or events but you will enjoy this game a lot believe me.

I played the hell out of Xenoverse 1 and played the beta and bought xenoverse 2 day one then gave up playing in like 2017 and I’ve been waiting for xenoverse 3 since then but it hasn’t come out and only a week ago me and a buddy decided to redownload it and we’ve been having a lot of fun and even got all the dlc can’t wait for the ps5 update

You are going to have an amazing time. I wanna warn you though, some points in the story will make you want to throw your controller, but all you gotta do is calm, yourself and just learn your way to cheese the broken parts.
yeah i def almost chucked my controller a few times, but beating the story was a blast, excited for the dlc
sounds like the mark of a bad game imo. i got hundreds of hours in XV2 until i realized the negatives kinda overshadowed the positives for me and i wasnt having fun anymore for a long ass time

@@WHIKKEDD the online servers on discord have pre-configured versions of the emulator “dolphin” with the game preinstalled and a save file. If you join the server, you can play the game upscaled for pc and online.
If you don't known about the character already then,I think you're gonna love Fu, I believe his role is foreshadowed towards the end of the super pass and still continuing!

Ohohohohoho, this is probably gonna hurt your wallet but just *W A I T* until you get to the futute saga dlc (latest dlc and YES, you kinda have to do the dlcs in order because there's a core dlc story character and allat) and let me tell you, it may be the most expensive dlc by far (it costs more than the base game) but it's arguably the most worth it dlc in the history of dragon ball dlcs (and just so you know the dlc i glazed about IS. JUST. PART. 1, There's *4* more parts to this, so yeah)

all jokes aside, if you just play on pve and maybe with your friends, xenoverse is really fun. the game might take forever to receive updates, and online might be peepee poopoo but i digress.

Its good you enjoy it but, but for me the negatives heavily outweigh the positives. The character models are considerably worse then the games before like raging blast, attacks like the Kamehameha also look worse then previose games, the fighting is awkward and clunky and usualy players just cheese. Transformations arent actual Transformations but rather different characters and the positives it does have it doesnt do enough of
respect for the comment. this is why I love games because it really is to each their own 🤙

ye, they need to do xenoverse 3 or at least fix the servers for pc, you can almost see persons playing in the servers in pc is broken, also they need to add Master Roshi, like 856 years waiting for it and they came out with sparking bois, when open world with new history and better graphics and with master roshi, help. Also u have like goku gt but can't go ss4, also u can't go ss4 also you can't go except with mods from goku to all transformations, I can easily do it with an animation in unity but they can't why at least good game but men, could be better u know

When I was younger I loved the DB games like BT3 but i didnt play any game after that until Fighterz and this one. love for a series doesn’t equal you touch every installment of it.
