- I had someone from Nigeria try to scam me! I offered him the money if he'd take a photo for me but he wouldn't do it. So I held a contest for anyone else that was interested. The results are in this video.
Many folks in Nigeria struggle to make a living because of the reputation of scammers. I encourage anyone who watches this to work with these guys if you're ever in need of their services. Below is the info for some of them.

I wasn't prepared for the end. These guys deserve way more than just $200. I hope people seeing this who are in the position to do so will help them further in doing what they do.

I never thought I would see the day when we can trust 2 guys in Nigeria more than the organizations who claim to help the poor and needy. Those two did a good thing.
I'd rather send money to them than any international children's fund because at least we know where it will go

As a Nigerian who has been harassed and embarrassed while traveling around the world with the Nigerian Passport (back in the days), I have to say...I wept like a baby while watching this.
At least for one more time in my life, I can be proud of being a Nigerian! Thank you so much, Green!

Does it make you feel any better if I tell you that Nigeria is less on our scam radar now than it used to be? Lately India has been a bigger problem. I remember as a child constantly getting the Nigerian prince scam emails... I haven't delt with a Nigerian scammer in ages. So while your country still has scars from the past, I no longer think of Nigeria when I think of scammers.... Well not as much at least. My first thought goes to India and China now.

Unfortunately only bad news is what goes around not the good things people do in the world. All countries have bad people and good people we just don't get to see enough of the good.
I wondered most of the time if there is any country without Scammers so why stigmatising Nigeria? One is sure, we are great people none can change that or try to bring us down.
Of course Nigerians are great, like any other race there are good people and bad , it’s just the Ignorant people who aren’t smart enough to know not everyone in a race is bad.
Those two winners restored some honour to Nigeria, well done gentlemen.

Approx 40M Americans are benefiting from the food stamps program and if you are getting food stamps in the USA you are not supposed to spend more than about $1.5 per meal per person. Can we talk about how $3 a day can get enough food to feed one person?

Crazy how 200 made such an incredible impact , we take things for granted here for sure
$200 usd is about a week's pay on an average Nigerian salary. Since it's an average, of course, a lot of people make more and a lot of people, especially in rural areas, make a lot less.
Staple foods are really cheap so that kind of money can go very far buying things like rice and noodles. Even here in the U.S. I can buy 500 lbs of rice or more for $200.
Aid goes a lot farther in poorer countries than rich ones just in general, but especially like TC said. One of the most effective efforts is just...giving money to people, conditionally then unconditionally.

in a fast food restaurant which has three shops and nearly 100 workers I work from 8:30 to 17:00 every day 7/7 I am paid 45000dzd converted to the black market in euro = 225 euro per month per month and if i wait i can go up to 55000 _ 60000 dzd max
In Nigeria most earn only 10k or maybe 25k if there “rich” in USA you earn like 50k as a result everything’s cheaper especially in rural areas

I was just talking to my brother about how frustrating it must be Indian and work in a legit tech support call center for that same reason.

Is not the media that paints the scammers in Nigeria. That is the doing of the scammers in Nigeria. If people stopped scamming the media would stop reporting on them. A few bad apples give a bad rep to the country but is not the media that you need to blame.

Nigeria has some of the best and worst people. But some who you'd think are in the "worst" side, just need some key to open the lock and show their true selflessness. And that's what I love about Pleasant Green. He brings out the good in some scammers, and puts them out of their horrible job to go pursue a better career. As they said, say No to Scammers.
