  • This is a step-by-step tutorial that will enable you to understand the Volume of Fluid (VOF) mode in Multiphase Model.
    The example analyzed in this tutorial includes a tank initially filled with air and as time begins, it will start getting filled by water and oil, each from its own inlet.
    More time is spent on the explanation of the terms in the Multiphase window box so that the user can understand the reason why each option is chosen or not.

    Can you put a video of how you designed your model please? And if possible, do it with a stirrer.

    sadly volume rendering isn't visible as 2D contours.. does not have the same beauty.
    amazing video by the way... better explained than most of videos about fluent in the youtube.

    Hello my friend,
    Can you do the work of spraying the n-heptane / air mixture from a hollow cone type injector?
    For the fragmentation of the fuel, it must be modeled with the KH-RT model. Can you post this kind of helpful video?
    Thank you from now

    HI
    i have some questions,
    at first about number of eulerain phase u say have (water and oil ) but u chose three ?? idont know why
    if i have sand ,water, air can i use two phase ?
    thank u

      because initially, the tank is empty and has to be filled with air. it cannot be vacuum

    Could you explain patch in detail. I didn't understand that part.

    • @AhmadKouta
      @AhmadKouta  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Simply, "patching" is used to assign an amount to a specific region within your domain. Sometimes you might have a particular section in which you need to assign a certain value regarding some property (velocity, temperature, etc.) unidentical to that of the domain. However, in this video, I used the patch window to impose the initial conditions related to the volume of oil and water inside the tank which are zero before running the simulation.
