  • In an effort to increase production in trees in years four and five, Michigan State University AgBioResearch horticulturist Ron Perry is growing new smaller varieties and harvesting them with a blueberry harvester.

    I like the idea behind it. However, given that blueberry shakers typically harvest into plastic lugs and make several passes as they palletize the lugs up top, what method would you employ to knock out the field heat from the cherries? I typically see cherry skakers harvest into water tanks and then take them to the cooling pad and out of the sun.

      I work closely with lots of red sour cherry growers, I'm curious where you've seen these taking over?
