    Once again, great job Mike! You always have been, and still are one of my favorite 3D teachers. Thanks a ton!

    Dude i seriously love your videos. They have helped me the most. Of all the videos i've watched...yours has been the most helpful! You truly deserve way more views! Sure i can admit it...some stuff you've done i haven't completely agreed with your way of doing it. But my way of thought.."i guess there are multiple ways of doing it and still get the same result." So it doesn't bother me. But like i said..I love your videos man!

      ***** Hi Anonym,
      I am glad you enjoy the videos and that they are helpful to some extent.
      I understand your comment and that makes sense. I mean digital technology or not, it is still a creative process.
      In addition it is also a learning process where I learn new things every day. ( and I hope it stays that way )
      So thanks for your support !
      Mike

      Yes it truly is a learning process :P
      But you manage to make the hard stuff simple...what i mean is you explain things very well! And i like that..other people just assume you magically understand everything so they speed through every tutorial...but you actually take your time and that's what i like!
      Keep up the videos man!
      Chris.

      It's ok , i found it in your rain video , it's under nCloth . I didn't delete my comment , so it can help others find it .

    Hi Mike, thank you for the great tutorial. Is it possible to make the similar effect with Maya 2017? The particle system is so different now. Thanks!

    How do you make the particles actually look like water? I want to create a scene similar to yours, except have a water pitcher pour into a glass, can you tell me how it could be done?

    Hey Mike. I know this is an old video but I'm hoping you still check comments. How do I go about animating this ? As in it keeps interacting with the collision objects if I press play, So how do I animate it over a particular bunch of frames and have it stay stagnant and stop for the rest of the frames ? Do I key frame it and delete the particle history ? Or is there a setting in the particle /nucleus attributes I can keyframe ? Would appreciate the help. Thanks for the great tuts as always, they've helped me out immensely.

      Not sure if you figured it out by now but here is what I think you should do. If you want to make the already emitted particles disappear after a certain number of frames you should change the value of the particle's Lifespan attribute. If you want to stop the particles from being emitted after a certain number of frames you could keyframe the Emission Rate or a similar attribute(can't remember exact name) that is displayed in particles/sec to zero. Hope it helps.

    i want the water to come out all the time constantly, or at least change the amout of count of particles (and planning to key frame it so it increase its number of particles at certain point and reduce later on) how do i have access to change the count of particles? its not letting me change the number

    ok so in your sim, everything just works, in mine nothing happens, iam at 5.12 and my nparticles just sit there and are not reacting to anything. Why is that?

    • @MHTutorials3D

      Is gravity applied ?

    • @DroneGrinder
      @DroneGrinder 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mike Hermes, You never applied gravity in the clip. so no. I havent. Do i click the emitter then add the gravity?

    • @MHTutorials3D
      @MHTutorials3D  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should not have to ( as I did not do it either ) but as I do not know your specific system, settings etc it is just a thought

    • @DroneGrinder
      @DroneGrinder 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, i am using maya 2014 on a pc, with default settings, since i never really use the dynamics part, i seldom wander there, hence tutorials. Is there something i should check inside the emitter or around the particle setup, or just add an ndynamics gravity while selecting the particles?

    • @MHTutorials3D
      @MHTutorials3D  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Go into the outliner and select the particle related items and then check the settings in the attribute editor. That would be your best shot

      You can either render all the images or you can render directly into video
