How good does the 140 mig works running off the champion 145? does the generator has decent power to run the mig welder? Would you recommend the hobart 145 for running mig wire feeder 8 hours a day?
I wouldn't go any lower than #2. My friend has the 225 version, and we ran it for some times 8 straight and had no problems. That's 50' for ground and stinger.
Hey man I’m stuck between this welder in the video and a ESAB Ruffian 150G was wondering if you know anything about it? Cant find much reviews of it online
Yeah, the esab I wish I would have known about it before I got my Hobar. It has 150 amps and the hobart is 145. Another bonus that the esab does have is you're able to use a grinder or power tools while someone else is welding. But that's in case if you're working with another person like a helper. But since I'm mostly worker by myself, it doesn't bother me. It just on what you want from each welder.
Another option I would consider looking into is the Vulcan Outlaw 195 from harbor freight. That's if they have one near you. I know that they're going through a revision right now. So they're kind of limited on it. That's originally what I was actually gonna get. But the closest one for me from where I live was about 300 miles, and the tracker supplie was right down the road.
I work for my friend's grandparents for their business. They supply the gas for my welder, as well as my rods and material. So I just do an hourly rate.

It's not the best when it. If you need something like the 145 I would look into the Vulcan Outlaw 195.
It runs the machine fine no problem but at the 4 to 5 hour mark machine starts overheating
