Hi @IvanMccaughey Could be any of the following; Cooling Fan: Similar to gasoline engines, if your diesel engine was working hard or running at high temperatures, the cooling fan may continue to operate after the engine is turned off to help cool the engine bay. Fuel Pump: For diesel engines, the fuel system relies heavily on the fuel pump. After shutdown, the pump may run for a short period to maintain fuel pressure or clear the lines. Turbocharger System: If your diesel Mini Cooper has a turbocharger, the turbo may make some noises as it cools down or as the wastegate actuator resets itself shortly after engine shutdown. Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) or Emission Control Systems: Some diesel vehicles have systems that remain active briefly to help reduce emissions, which might produce a low whine or whirring sound. Electric Components: The power steering pump or other electric-assisted components may also produce a sound while they are winding down. Thanks for watching
Hi @APOSTR When it come to oil recommendations it’s difficult as even different models of the same car can use different oil specifications. Your best best is to supply your car registration to your supplier and they can look it up and recommend the best option. Alternatively you can use a web site like eurocarparts.com and put your car registration details in there (UK only) and it should recommend which oil to use. Thanks for watching
What was the spring sound when you turned the car off around 12:25 ish. Only asking as mine is making the same sound when i turn it off.
