Donna scolding the Doctor as soon as she gets her memory back is the most Donna Noble thing she would do.
True, but taking the time to scold someone when her own death and the deaths of millions of others is imminent is a very Doctor thing to do.
The DoctorDonna indeed.
I'll be honest, I expected Donna to slap the Doctor so hard that he would regenerate. It would have been well deserved.
@@rkah6187- he was lucky that their was a glass between them.
2:30 11th doctor music
She should have died on the spot and not had the opportunity
At least, if the writers gave a shit, anyway
“I gave away my money. I gave away all my money!” has such “You had the reception without me. You had the reception. Without me!” energy. It’s a lovely callback to Donna’s first appearance and yet another example Catherine’s ability to bring such hilarious energy and comedy to dramatic moments without diminishing either aspect.
Also the way she says the "I gave it all away to be like you" line gives off huge Capaldi Doctor vibes.
They had. The reception. Without me!
@@Lemau Yes, I gathered.
It reminded me of her Nan character Joannie Taylor 😂😂😂😂
@@FarkasAbel91 totally reminds me of lie of the land when bill thought the doctor had been converted by the monks! edit: realize you meant the delivery, not just the situation haha

I forget most passwords after two weeks, meanwhile there's the Doctor remembering Donna's activation code after 4.5billion years.
It was the thing that truly broke the doctor it stayed with them all these years
Oh that was Donna’s activation code
Nahh he only aged a few hundred years. Most of that in the town called Christmas.
The 4.5 billion in that time loop prison only counts as like a week
To be fair, while 4.5 billion years passed, as far as the Twelfth Doctor was concerned he was only in there for an hour.
Because the version of him saved was from right after Face the Raven.
@@Smellbringer I thought it was confirmed at some point that he was able to _remember_ all 4.5 billion years... that something during the loop (staring at the wall?) causes him to remember all the previous iterations, and that would include the version that finally got out. It's probably like Rory though, those eons are probably "a door he can open when needed" in his Mind-Tardis.
I'm absolutely obsessed with how he says grief in this scene.
Absolutely! Some people natter on about DT being over the top, but he's able to be such a brilliant subtle actor, as well as a grandiose one.
@@pvksl OVER THE TOP?!?!?!😭
@@pvksl If they haven't seen him play Hamlet, they are missing how well he can play subtle.

0:19 That ''No you are not'' hit so hard for me - over the course of Series 4 the Doctor was always saying how special Donna is and she was always denying it. That was straight from the Doctor's hearts.
It shows the impact losing Donna had on the doctor even thousands of years later from their perspective
yeah. the chemistry the two had was unlike any other companion the doctor had. there were lovers, people he looked at like his grand kids, even family. but Donna? she was the best friend he ever had
900 years of time and space, and The Doctor has never met anyone who wasn't important.
The Doctor has had many Companions, but Donna truly was a cut above the rest in that she was one of the few to never look at him all starry-eyed. Said it himself, of all the people he's ever known, she's the one he called his best friend. :)
And also because by the end of series 4 she had finally started to believe she was special, only for Ten to have to take that all away 😢 I know some people say how Fourteen and Donna's stories ended in the specials was too neat but I don't care, I'm so glad they got a happy ending some 14 years later.
‘I Am The Doctor’ kicking in at 2:32 when Donna literally IS The Doctor again was an absolutely inspired decision!
Petition to call it “I Am The DoctorDonna”
Donna: *has not even 2 minutes to live when regaining her memories and the DoctorDonna unlocked, and spends half of it giving out to the doctor that she gave away her money due to the Doctors personality influencing her to give away her money.*
And since she actually had the right calculation for her countdown she willfully decided to spend it on that 😂
I mean, that was 100% Donna, wasn't it?
I smiled from ear to ear when "I am the Doctor" started playing at 2:32
So happy that Murray Gold is back!
Someone made a fan made name and I like it so much
"I am the DoctorDonna"
Pretty sure all Doctor Who fans had that grin when we saw that scene and the music started playing. I know I did. :D
We all did. “Oh, yes! She’s back!”
The fact that he has basically got an activation code for the doctor donna, and he remembered it all those years 😭🤚
They * remember because they are not humans
:/
@@FlagadossSupremehe because he was a male both times let’s not pretend otherwise

I was wondering why he was saying those words until a few words in and Donna starts copying the words I gasped knowing what he was about to do and I cried alittle because I know that this was both amazing and heartbreaking knowing that the doctordonna was coming back
This was written (and acted) PERFECTLY. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what she would say first and... The hairflick! The sass! SHE GAVE AWAY ALL HER MONEY!!!

1:47 the fringe flip kills me every time
I honestly just kinda love how you can see the barest hint of a smile creep into the Doctor's expression once she gets to work. Despite the emotional turmoil of knowing what's going to happen to her as a result of having her memories restored, there's that part of him that is THRILLED to have her back, even for this brief moment. The excitement of getting to witness the DoctorDonna in action once again. The spark of Donna's creativity with all the expansive knowledge of the universe of his own Timelord mind, pulling off things even the Doctor himself would never think to try.
The fact that David Tennant is that amazing is exactly why I loved having him back tbh
Him needing a second to catch on to what she's doing is a nice touch, since the Doctor Donna is meant to be smarter and quicker on her feet compared to the Doctor.
Even DoctorDonna said that she could think of things that the Doctor or the Metacrisis doctor couldn’t even dream to think of in a million years.
"Shatterfry the positrons" is such a great line
Gonna be honest in my opinion Donna Noble is the closest the Doctor has to a sibling with his companions, and I love it.
Donna's a legend. The world's gonna end and she be all "bitch im poor because of you." XD
She's told she could die, but goes ahead with it because other people matter so much more to her. This is why we love this character 😊
why didnt she?
Because some of the doctors kindness has seeped into her and her daughter
@@bwalt1909 the metacrisis is too much for one person to bear, but she had a child, and it was passed down.
What a moment this was. “You were beaten by the DoctorDonna” 🔥
Having a variation of “I am the doctor” playing in the background made me very happy.😁
And the winter soldier type activation 😮
Would have been cool combining i am the doctor with Donna's theme
OH I'LL SHOW YOU DESTRUCTION MATE!
My new favourite Dpnna Noble quote😂
Donna gets back her memories and the first thing she does is use the time she has to yell at the Doctor for influencing her personality 😂
0:25 stuck behind a glass barrier, reminds me of his “but it’s not fair!” scene with Wilf where the doctor sacrifices himself
Anyone else love that well placed ‘entering final sequence’ line before the code to reactivate The DoctorDonna
The "Why does it have to be this" line gives me intense End of Time callbacks
I thought the same thing!!!
When the Doctor says the words to re-awaken Donna, it gave me some Winter Soldier vibes.
The detail of the final words of the code being Binary Binary Binary... basically Donna's last words before she got her memory removed.
It gets me. Right here... ❤️❤️
Sparrow is also there. Sally Sparrow maybe? 😉
Am I the only one who choked up when she started saying the words along with him? 😢💙
2:38 this part is so adorable. If you rewatch Journey's End, the Doctor never genuinely smiled in relation to the DoctorDonna, only the metacrisis did. This was the first time he did in her presence...
He really did miss her...
I'm sure somewhere far out there among all those distant stars, the Ood are singing a song in celebraton of the day the Doctor Donna descended upon the universe once again.
Doctor: hooray Donna is back…OH NO DONNA IS BACK
Donna’s got a heart bigger than this universe, the other parallel universes and the void combined, and she’s got the sass to back it up.
1:45: Is she good?
1:47: *angry hair flip*
She’s good.
I love how she’s pissed about her money as her first impulse.
2:32 Love how a bit of “I Am The Doctor” (11’s theme) plays when Donna starts going fully Doctor mode.
11th doctor: basically run.

This scene is just simply powerful, loved the energy from both of them actually, the specials have all been amazing.
You’re a bot. Your recent comments are all parroting the same thing
@@jamescarr1265 Okay sure, I just wanted to say something honest and simple for this.
@@GISALEGENDYT fair enough
No. When she said "im neither" she actually meant "im female but woke"
David Tennant returning to the role of the Doctor is one of the best things that happened to Doctor Who franchise ever
They just had to ruin it by repeatedly belittling him 😢
They should've brought back the doctor's daughter, i mean david is married to her so it would've been easy to set up
Oh, that can't be said ENOUGH times❣❣❣❣
@@bonds927it also would’ve been awkward for the actors to play.
@@EditedAF987 not really, they were dating at the time she first played his daughter
"best 55 seconds of my life" never take someone's choice away from them
It will never stop being hilarious to me that the two villains that the DoctorDonna defeated were Davros and Beep the Meep.
Is she the only companion to defeat major villains singlehandedly
"Donna Noble is descending!"
Never. *NEVER* underestimate the power of a mother's love for their child and what they will do to protect them.
David Tennent will FOREVER be my doctor. im so glad the 10th and Donna finaly got the ending they deserved.
Ive never liked donna
I love how the doctor COULD talk to Donna all this time without killing her. It leaves the sad theory open that the Dr has been AVOIDING Donna all this time because it hurts to see his friend not remember him. Its not for her benefit its for his.
Damn though Davy T is good at sad anger acting. His look when hes about to die with the dead Donna is his arms when he says "do what you want" is mega heartbreaking.
this whole scene with the doctordonna put a wide smile on my face
They sound like they're having so much fun yelling that science nonsense.
They probably were!
I carried the emotional damage caused by Donna's fate for 15 years and I can still barely believe this is real.
Same. I’ve been in a daze the whole week. Like my brain can’t grasp the fact that they’re actually together again, happy and whole. One day it’ll sink in and I’ll cry.
@@dibblewarrior oh, I cried when I watched the episode. And then I cried more when I rewatched this screne, and I realised these two have been my absolute favourite pair ever in all the fiction I ever encountered and I just buried all my feels until now because back then I thought it was over for them. Do cry as much as you need when you get there, I'm sure we're not the only ones.
That fringe flick she does before saying “I gave away my money” creases me.😆
That “WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE THIS!” makes me think of The End of Time when Wilf is locked in the radiation chamber and the Doctor has to take his place.
I can hear “I Am The Doctor” when Donna goes all out on the control panels. I guess it’s fitting since she is The DoctorDonna.
The Doctor's sad face always manages to get me. 🥺
He activated her like the Winter Soldier! 😂
You can see and feel how much The Doctor cares about Donna, after all those years he still remembers what he had to do her. It’s why when Amy asked 11 if there were others he never mentioned her or Rose, because it was too painful for him
Also 0:25 is why David Tennant is my favourite Doctor, he’s the most human version of The Doctor
Honestly people will hate on this but in my opinion it was such a perfect moment of emotion having the pain and tears in his eyes, having her remember with the music building knowing she’s going to die, the beauty of the energy and light exuding from her. Tugging on those heart strings only for her to make you ugly cry then laugh a split second later as she mentions the money. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.
I loved it. I loved all three specials actually. 😂In fact, if I tried to keep writing about it, I would only end up saying "loved" and "great" every few words. I would be a terrible critic, but I know what I like.
"I gave away my money"
Translation: "WHAT A F*CKIN LIBERTY!"
Loved hearing the little "I am the Doctor" Riff in there!
She will always be my favourite Companion of all time, AND my 2nd favourite Doctor; my 1st favourite Doctor was just in the same scene. Love them both! Doctor Donna!!
Anyone else STILL get teary-eyed rewatchiing this scene even though they knew what happened?
1:24 Donna regenerates
1:53 Fourteenth Doctor: Oh boy
He just stands there, slack-mouthed, catching flies for over 30 seconds while DoctorDonna harangues him, before he even _tries_ to get her back on task.
These three specials felt like missing episodes from when I was like eight years old. I still don’t fully get the how and the why, but having 10 and Donna back for a bit was fun. Also, RIP Bernard Cribbins.
The doctor"arw you alright" donna"I gave away my money" the doctor in his mindb"yea she's alright😅"
The Doctor's words re-awaken the Doctor-Donna, but rumour has it that if you say "longing," "rusted," "furnace," "daybreak," "seventeen," "benign," "nine," "homecoming," "one," and "freight car", Donna turns into a russian assassin
My new favorite scene in the entire series...
How they fell back into there roles like they never met is amazing
This is just brilliant. Doctor Donna is something I didn't expect to enjoy.
I never did, i nevwr liked Donna at all. All she was is an older and less flirty version of rose
Someone should give Catherine a Supervillain role some day. Everything after the fringe flip felt like a 'This is why I'll destroy you all' speech.
She has voiced Magica in Ducktales.
11's theme playing in the background gives me life
This, the moment ya get your best friend back. Damn that's awesome. 😮
I love how I'm the doctor played through this which in my opinion is the best theme for any doctor yet
Ahhh, finally! We needed this highlight uploaded.
YOU WERE BEATEN…BY THE DOCTORDONNA
So great to hear a variation of I am the Doctor here! Splendid choice on Murray's part!
2:32
That's Matt Smith's theme playing here...
LOVE THIS SHOW
2:50. A line that the tenth doctor always said, but the fourteenth didn't say throughout the whole three specials. THAT'S how old the doctordonna is, can you believe that?
I just LOVE that she’s got her memories back 🥹
Same my favourite duos are back together so glad they had a happy ending ❤
The acting in this scene is just amazing.
1:25 Does this make Donna the second non-time lord companion to have basically regenerated?
DoctorDonna was always my favorite companion. Even when she was just Donna. It was a joy to see her again.
The only think deadlier than Donna sass? Partial Time Lord Donna sass, while pissed off at her financial situation. Imagine the sass fest she'd have with Capaldi's Doctor.
The thick of it
Multi Doctor story with 9 and 12 meeting Donna. The sass would implode the universe.
@@chazo1367you beat me to it! They wouldn’t get anything done, it would just be sass and snark 😂
Love how Matt Smith's theme is played as they are doing this!!!
He really activated her like the Winter Soldier
We want this show so bad: Doctor Who's Agents of U.N.I.T.
Going back to the days of the Third Doctor.
Please do!
Think that what torchwood was supposed to be
2:08 Donna reminds me a bit of the "scale model of war" speech from Capaldi here.
THANKS so much for this!!!!
The Doctor Donna is probably Donna at her wittiest
I love it when Donna berates the Doctor for her giving away her fortune, acting by Tate was exceptional
Somehow is refreshing and good to see doctor donna back.
I honestly thought this was the end for Donna..I was ready to cry my eyes out
Absolutely awesome! The acting too, it was like they'd never been away 😮❤❤
I love that the music is a version of "I am the Doctor" from Matt Smith's time as the doctor.
The only thing more terrifying than the fury of a Time Lord, the fury of Doctor Donna when she realized she gave away all her money because of the Doctor
donna returning is the most doctor of moments!
2:32 I do love the Eleventh Doctor’s theme playing in the background here
Because she technically was the 11th Doctor
God I love Donna, literally the best.
Donna is such a queen. Loved seeing her again on DW!
I domt see how people liked her, to me she was far too annoying
I’ve missed her so much ❤
I don't know if it's intentional, but that single eyelid twitch by Donna at 3:14 made me think her brain was starting to burn.
I don't know why, but I choke up a little every time I hear Donna say "Best 55 seconds of my life."
I love when you hear the update of 10's theme as soon as they team up!
Pure brilliance
