Hat's off! Very clear procedure and your detailed commentary is valuable information. Thanks - our left side backup light just. Stopped. Working. LEDs, completely unreliable! NOT. Lol
Thanks for taking the time. I've had my model 3 for three years. My wife and I have been sharing for 30 days- busted tail light. After the video, took me 20 minutes. Probably an hour if I had to fumble through.
Had to replace all 4 of my taillights on my 2018 recently due to condensation build up from multiple stress cracks. A recommendation for others is instead of using a pry tool on the taillights located on the trunk use a suction cup to pull it loose. Otherwise excellent video!
This will come in handy...will this also help to make the lights FLUSH? Mine is slightly uneven on the right side...they "fixed it" but not perfectlt flush....
@@JJCentral-DIY I was testing the rear lights and found out rear fog light didn’t work either. So I took the plastic panel off and sure enough as I thought the connector fell off. I’m not sure how. I guess it wasn’t connected fully to begin with. Thanks for a great video mate! It helped a lot
@@sasajungic89 unfortunately Tesla quality control is terrible. The amount of time you hear about missing clips and loose wiring seems to be getting very common. Glad you found and fixed it.
@@JJCentral-DIY yeah I’ve heard plenty off missing clips and bolts.. I contacted Tesla service and they made an appointment November 9th. My ocd couldn’t wait that long😂. Thanks again for the help. You got your self a new sub!
@@sasajungic89 if you are really that ocd and also not afraid to take things apart, check out my two videos on reducing noise in model 3. It will be useful to eliminate all creaks.
At 14:00, you mentioned if you need to use a washer to adjust the fit/alignment of the tail light. I have an issue where there’s a gap I want to reduce between the the top of the tail light and the trunk. What type of washer do you recommend?
All we are doing is to increase the space by putting a washer in-between the light fixture and the body. Any washer will do, but a plastic washer will be recommended to not scratch or crack the tail light assembly when you tighten.
Lol when I picked my car up, the guys told me that huge nut atop the taillight is only just a bumper for the trunk 🤦♂️🤦♂️ then mobile service refused to align my taillights because according to him, it’s perfect & that’s how it’s designed. Smh Seems these guys know nothing about the cars they’re selling or trying to fix. Smh
Nice tutorial. Watched the whole vid knowing I don’t own a Tesla model 3.
If you are watching Tesla videos for no reason, inevitably you will soon own one. Good luck.

Thank you!!! Had to replace my outer tail light
Brilliant!! Worked perfect!
How do you replace a broken Rear Right Side Tail Light Panel Reflector Cover For Tesla Model 3

I did show couple of adjustments while putting it back to align properly. You should be able to follow and adjust.
@@JJCentral-DIY godsend sir. Was it easy to stick the rubber lining back on or is that like permanently loose if one adjusts?
@@TechTails rubber groove is deep enough that it goes back easily and sits tight.
Only guy showing the headlights changing...wow
Excellent video!
Nice video. I have a 2021 model 3 and the inner light on the left side doesn’t work.
That should be covered under warranty. Contact the service team and see what they say.
