Squishy but with the snap back of chewed bubblegum is such a good and accurate description. That’s exactly how the midsole of the endorphin speed 3 feels to me.
Love the candor and nuance of your reviews! I use the Speed 3 for my daily runs (which are just 5k) and so this sounds right up my alley as a lifestyle shoe at the very least. It reminds me of how Basketball shoes are fashion and so you’re often paying $200 before that dual usage.
@@kofuzi - I think it’s gonna help usher in a new category of running shoes priced like Jordan’s with similar characteristics - you can probably use them for performance but they’re more a fashion statement.

For a clean and stylish shoe that also let's you do your holiday run and you can pair a pants/shirt to go to restaurants easily, it is a great choice. I do believe this is more in line of a lifestyle shoe for me and there is nothing wrong with that.

The best part of these shoes is their looks and quality, and while comfort and performance are solid, it does not mean the performance matches that price tag 1 for 1. But that’s okay, and I think that’s an important point to drive home for prospective buyers.
I am somewhat of a hypocrite in that I had immediate buyer's remorse when I purchased the Asics Superblast (have not run in yet). However, I have zero regret when it came to purchasing the Eliots as I have spent way more on lifestyle-oriented shoes. I received my pair this afternoon and they are absolutely beautiful...super clean with impeccable fit and finish. For those interested, I would say these are just a tiny smidge longer than TTS. Those who prefer race-thin socks may prefer a half-size down. With that said, I agree with @kofuzi that the slightly extra length is great for the inevitable foot/toe swelling.

These are looking more like a running-ish daily sneakers, I would love to try them as such. Tracksmith apparel always feel premium and look just so on point. Classic and modern at the same time. Now we are able to complete the look with these pretty bastards.
I feel like the one thing that I was hoping that people would be able to prove by running a ten mile easy run or a 16 mile long run is that these are good running shoes and not just running-inspired casual shoes. but perhaps I should have used more of a click-bait approach with a thumbnail that says "Are These Legit?"
To my eyes, it's one of the best looking running shoes ever made. That's definitely worth something. For actually running in, I tend to lean towards softer shoes, so probably not for me. But it sure does look great.

it's kind of my favorite detail
@@kofuzi Spoken like a true trophy husband.
A lot of modern technology but really looks like a retro shoe for "lifestyle" use. Not to be soiled by running in it!
run em if you got em
Elliot, phone home 👽
I totally forgot about that until I just watched Believe In the Run's video just now
Only white?
for now
Just buy Puma Velocity Nitro 2 and save a shedload of coin. Although you could almost smell the quality through the screen. 🤔
Also also, you know, Eliud Kipchoge.
Amongst friends, I am notoriously stingy with expensive running shoes. But I bought these shoes on pre order lol.
interesting 🤔
@@kofuzi @kofuzi I think I just believe in the brand. They have an east coast feel (home for me) and the whole (literal and metaphorical) package is so well thought out. Can't wait to give em a go.
Let me borrow them bro 😎
To the eye, it looks like a casual shoe only.
that's why I hope it was useful to have a video where I can explain my running experience and running footage that depicts that running experience
Seems like it was made for shopping in nordstroms or lulu. Looks sharp as a daily when needing to transition right into doing errands
hopefully, you made it past the thumbnail to see that it is an actual running shoe, beauty notwithstanding
@@kofuzi heck ya, watched the whole thing like usual. Most of my running shoes scream “dad-shoes” when I attempt to where them outside of running, it’s good to finally have a fashionable option that my kids won’t be too embarrassed by
I have my doubts. Looks like a great marketing effort to sell shoes!
I'm sure it wasn't intended as such, but I will choose to take this comment as a compliment
@@kofuzi I guess I’m just so overwhelmed with so many new shoes coming on the market now! I can only run in one pair at a time!
I can see I will be using them more for casual wear. hahaha
a lot of people have been mentioning that, which makes sense to me now. but originally, it made no sense. like, could you imagine if Tracksmith had been teasing this shoe for almost a year and then released it and said, "but it's just for the look. don't run in it."
to me it looks like a "fancy" sl20
Indeed Tracksmith provides the most beautiful (expensive) clothes in the world 🙀….. TS Eliot? Seriously 😮
Someone told me that story a couple months ago and I totally believed it for a few weeks
@@kofuzi oh Mike....you mean it's not true? ;-)
Received pair #198 on 1.4.23. I don’t think I’m gonna run in them. I wore them to a restaurant last night, and cringed when I accidentally stepped in some pee in the bathroom.
I think this shoe will have a lot of runners suddenly searching for the first time for shoe cleaning products
Why does this shoe make me want to compare it to the Rolls Royce Ghost ??😅
ok!
As nice as the white / blue looks, a reversed version of that would be 🤌
someone told me during the livestream today that there was a LL Bean collab version that is that reversed version. not sure if that actually exists though
@@kofuzi , I heard that as well (on your podcast). It was J Crew and I don’t recall a shoe but they did have several tops and bottoms plus a few others like gloves.
I feel like this shoe wants to invite me to their private country club
well, I have a pair, and no one has ever or will ever consider inviting me to their country club
pebax world 🎉
a lot of pebax in the shoe
