Five years ago I was offered this vehicle by Motability against a Ssangyong Turismo. It was virtually a Transit van with a bench seat and side windows. So no contest then. Ssangyong it was. Now it’s time to exchange and I can’t believe the transformation. Had my previous car, a Ford Galaxy, still been available I would be hard pressed to choose between the Ford models. As it is I’m off to my nearest Ford dealership to put my order in. Thanks for a comprehensive review young man! My wife is also smitten so it’s just a fight over the colour to be decided.
10-15 years ago those type of vehicles were much more present on the market. Smaller version like Qubo, Bipper, to Doblo, Caddy, Berlingo etc... We hade few in our company and they were comfortable to drive with excellent practicality
Just ordered the grand tourneo titanium 2.0 120 7 seat auto, this review helped me make my decision, as I couldn’t view the grand tourneo at the dealership, just test drove the SWB model. Thank you 👍
Hi thank you for the great review it is crazy amount of space for a family or a recreational vehicle the only let down is no electric rear windows as I think it will get pretty hot if you get sunroof . The tyres are cheaper make and it does not come with key less entry on door handles where caddy does but satnav is included in the car as standered. The indicator lights in front light area doesn't have twin orange blinkers but ford have added front cornering fog lights and tinted rear windows are standered in the ford and are extra cost from vw. The vw caddy you need to put a lot of extras on at extra cost .with ford you get quite a few extras as standard so overall the ford is better buy I think . Oh if you get active model it comes with wheel arch and bottom sill protection Dan I like ford gran turneo and your review has helped me a lot thank you sda Dan cars
Missing keyless is a plus, because keyless is degradation of security, it is very vulnerable and easy for thieves. Keyless is almost the same as not locking your car
Thanks for the English review. Strongly considering one of these. There's very little else to compete as a 7-seater with loads of room and reasonable value for money. The Ford seems cheaper than the VW, in similar spec. I think i'd only get the VW if I wanted it in bright green. One thing that would make it better would be the middle row of seats being individual and the middle one being removeable, giving access the the third row seats. Another thing that would improve the seats would be the middle row being able to slide rather than tip forward, because if you have a child seat there it's not possible without removing it.
What about the windows of the second seats bro ???? What about the roof 🤔,why you didn't test it?!!! We didn't see the engine 😕 and what about the sound of it ?!!!
I'm _very_ dissapointed that it's just a VW Caddy. It's but ugly (even the new Renault Kangoo, who was one of the ugliest mpv's around) is now clean and nice. I really dislike the window line at the side of the car. It's not streight. Anyway, The original Ford Tourneo connect (2016) was a fantastic car and they made a big mistake by using the VW caddy as a base. Am i correct that the passengers in the back can't even open the windows?!
It is good to make a nice presentation of the car but very bad in my opinion to function like a seller of this brand/model and to mention that the price of 40.000 chf is a very good price... It seems that you have no idea of the needs and the profile of the people who are looking cars like this...
