Every time I watch such videos, it never fails to confirm the fact that I made the right choice by ordering this guitar. It’s not available in my country but I managed to contact a authorised Ibanez dealer and it’s coming this Christmas!! The customs tax is gonna burn a hole in my pocket. But I don’t care… this Christmas is gonna be lit!!!
The first Ibanez I've liked since the Destroyer and Collen's 555. Slick - it really stands out. And one of my favorite players too - so talented and gracious.
I'm surprised this is on the main channel. Love Nita, her guitar and her pickups, but that amp sounds super stuffy and isn't doing them justice. I think with a different amp setup those pickups would sound killer.
Awesome Guitar, Nita. DiMarzio Pickups are Really Underrated... I grew up on Staten island. So it's a bit of old school nostalgia that I was playing when the first aftermarket parts came around... DiMarzio was right in there. And Still IS. And Nita. You Seriously ROCK \,,/ ... Congratulations on being the first female to have an Ibanez Signature model..
I completely agree with she when say that true velvet middle is the best single coil ever made by Dimarzio... Have a perfect tone in almost any combination with high gain humbs
I love the S series guitars, light weight but heavy sounds! Can do double band rehearsals, 6 hrs, then show at night and do it over next day without suffering.... if I did that w my gibsons I would not be able to walk !
Like a lot of session guys (and girls!) She's a really 'complete' guitar player. Solos are on point but rhythm playing is flawless. I love these pickups btw.
So when i first heard this pickup setup form Miss Strauss I was curious to the pro rack compression set up she uses as to how well the pickup played. I was also very interested in her signature ibanez quitar. As well as the steve vai jem as other ibanez guitars. i have been set off ibanez guitars as the necks tend to not withstand the test of time the warp and have long term issues with that. so if you replace the necks periodically not bad.. miss strauss 's signature guitar greatly outdistanced the jem and other ibanez guitars..I was quickly impressed with the pickup however as far as neck versus bridge not too much a difference.. I was mostly impressed with the bridge pickup however her signature guitar had a serious low action and does not allow for a heavy crunch palm muting technique. which means the style in which this lady plays is highly advanced using all fret board harmonics double finger muting triple pick sweep techniques with triad pick upstroke and downstroke muting with advanced sustained arpeggio. I purchased two of the pickups. I put one in a Jackson JS34Q Dinky DKA-M Transparent Blue wired in series. i will put a series/parallel switch. Her signature pickup vs super distortion, dark matter, seymour duncan trembucker or others. I went to guitar center and tried these signature guitars out. And as fore mentioned her pickup surpassed them all.. The only reason i would not but her guitar one the action isnt to my personal preference for play style. But her pickup surpassed the high end jackson. The jem as well as other metal guitars. When placed in my jackson i notice a higher sustain better resolution and response to tremolo bar(which before with the standard jackson pickups is terrible) the jackson and setmour duncan pickups cheaply made. The dimarzion cabling is double sheilded. the Casing is soldered on. The pickup is very high output and adjustable. comes with springs and wiring guides. Amazing pickup. amazing guitar. Highly recommend this pickup. And surprisingly it also plays well clean unlike a super distortion.
sounded a little buzzy to me but that could just be your amp/effects. I think you should come to my place and play through my rig so I can hear what they really sound like. Ever get to New Zealand? ;)
Hi Larry, i'm about to buy your chopper t pickup for a new build and was wondering if I need to order mounting screws and springs with my order or do they come included with the pup?
Thanks Larry, I purchased the pups last week and was pleasantly surprised the screws were included. The additional option of wood screws for the neck pup were also much appreciated.
That neck pickup has a lot more bite and treble than most neck pups the neck pickup on the Vai Jem is also a bit muddy but I don't think Steve uses it in full humbucker mode most of the time I think he uses it split.
Dude I seen her at Carolina rebellion she did a wicked solo. Rob zombie was on the back stage directly after Cooper Johnny 5 did a solo as soon as they got on stage. He should of waited to the end because going directly after her holy shit she smoked his ass seriously bad she wicked.
12 seconds in they do not sound good at all, but that is most def due to amp / speaker setting. Sounds like someone is playing from inside a beer can. I would much rather go for the Dimarzio Super Distortion to be honest. True and tested for sooo many decades, great for heavy metal and even more aggressive music, they are also one of the cheapest premium pickups out there. Solid choice.
Love Nita! But, I'm confused: Her tone usually seems to have a little more treble, especially on her solo disc. It sounds like the Pandemonium here has a little less treble/mids with more bass, almost as if she has some sort of filter on the humbucker. Still, great musician and her Ibanez looks awesome!
Hi David, I recorded this from a Marshall Code 50 with a Shure 57 and a Beyerdynamic 160. It's a bit rolled off and compressed but that's the sound of the 50 and I agree that her stage sound is brighter. Please check Nita's guitar for yourself. Hope this helps, Larry DiMarzio
LarryDiMarzio Thank you! Funny enough, I’m looking into getting a new DiMarzio humbucker ( I have an old “ Fred “ in the bridge position of my lefty strat ), a new pickup that has a little more “ clarity “ for legato playing. Nita’s pickups here would sound great for my rhythm playing but for my leads, I’m stuck between getting Luke’s Transition pickup or Vai’s Dark Matter. Thanks again for the reply!
Hi, The video was recorded (mic on speaker) from a Marshall Code 50, Nita's choice. I agree with your comment and find the amp to be a bit compress and maybe a bit dark. I suggest you check out the guitar for yourself. Guitar Center usually has them in stock. Hope that helps, Larry DiMarzio
The guitar definitely is darker in tone overall but also a very smooth sound. Like the Evolution, it's not for everyone. That said I was in guitar center playing one through a Princeton Reverb if memory serves me right and I was still able to get a very nice usable clean tone out of it, even using the bridge and neck humbuckers.

The lighting on this video is perfect. Wow.
Larry Dimarzio has been a professional photographer for decades.
Such a sweet and tender voice and talking.
Thanks Larry Dimarzio and nita for an absolutely wonderful sound of pickups! Thanks for this excellent showcase!
I'm surprised this is on the main channel. Love Nita, her guitar and her pickups, but that amp sounds super stuffy and isn't doing them justice. I think with a different amp setup those pickups would sound killer.
I LOVE the "EKG" inlay in Ebony fretboard...I want one
Very smart business move working with Nita! She is a real deal.
I now own three Ibanez’s thanks to Nita.
I know a guy that has 2 jiva 10s and 2 jiva Jr's.. But why?
I just got the pups, use a S prestige so? Same style body to in basic.
The design of these pickups are so awesome
The split sound between middle and neck sounds very bluesy. I LOVE that deep, syrupy tone.
The DiMarzio XL strings included on her guitar match well with the pick ups.
fret board is cool
looks and sounds amazing (so does the guitar )
Nita deserves more success than these useless pop stars nowadays!
Totally agree with you

Nita you are awesome!
Johann Strauss would be proud. Very talented guitarist and yet so down to earth.
I'm a Strauss and I'm also very proud of her. LOL I caught her in Ottawa a few years back playing for Alice. Great show!
I like the mid range tone option of the bridge pickup
Very thick in the lows and mids. I find myself craving more brightness. Could just be the amp though.
Hi, We used a Marshall Code 50.
Hope that helps,
Larry
Why???
For the love of Jebus, get a Kemper or something!
+Michael Veil Very well could be.
Very cool. She's the real deal.
That sounds like a really great guitar to check out
I like the vintage - voice-like - tone of the pickups! Very rock n' roll! Total kickass.
Gorgeous guitar, great pick up's and gorgeous lady. Rock on Nita!!
i like her classic ibanez tone
3:55 I like that rich tone "neck pickup split with the True Velvet". Could listen to that all day if someone just played clean tone chords.
Awesome guitarist & pickups
I honestly really like that guitar.
yea i just wish it was purple. i really wanted it to be purple lol.
Nita for President
Velvet along with the split neck sounds great. Need a better amp though, not doing this demo justice.
Blame youtube and their stupid compression
I completely agree with she when say that true velvet middle is the best single coil ever made by Dimarzio... Have a perfect tone in almost any combination with high gain humbs
Nita you are my favorite guitar player ;) !!!
That heart monitor inlay is fucking SICK dude
I love the S series guitars, light weight but heavy sounds! Can do double band rehearsals, 6 hrs, then show at night and do it over next day without suffering.... if I did that w my gibsons I would not be able to walk !

Nita Solo Tour to follow?
Great vid by the way \m/

I'm not a Nita fan boy or anything, but I have to say that neck pickup sounds phenomenal.
I’m looking hard at getting one of those guitars.
Thee Larry DiMarzio? Awesome! Nita is wonderful.
I hear some Neal Schon licks and influence at the end! Who’s crying now
3:35 and forward. Sounds really nice on the clean channel. =)
I wish she'd put out a solo instrumental album. She is? Very cool! Super nice guitar & pickups too.
Sinner Train she’s in the process of recording one right now.
Now the real question, does it come in a left hand version?
love u, Nita.
Brutality amazing guitar tone. Greetings from #Venezuela and #rockon 👋😉🇻🇪🤘😎
That segment of solo on 5:13 is straight out of Journey’s “Who’s Cryin’ Now.”
th-cam.com/video/9meo3vazXcw/w-d-xo.htmlm28s
Kris S. Exactly.
I've liked positions 2 to 4 for cleans but with distortion is very muddy.
Amezing Lead Guitars Plays by Nita Straus, GBU, .... Bravo.
sounded a little buzzy to me but that could just be your amp/effects. I think you should come to my place and play through my rig so I can hear what they really sound like. Ever get to New Zealand? ;)
Hi Larry, i'm about to buy your chopper t pickup for a new build and was wondering if I need to order mounting screws and springs with my order or do they come included with the pup?
The mounting screws and springs are supplied with the pickup.
Thanks Larry, I purchased the pups last week and was pleasantly surprised the screws were included. The additional option of wood screws for the neck pup were also much appreciated.
Side note for everyone saying its not bright sounding...the pickups themselves are on the mid/low sounding side so...yeah
Hermosa, inteligente, talentosa... Los Dimarzio no están nada mal tampoco
Omg those sound fucking amazing
YAAAY THANKS
What is this neck pickup you speak of? 🤔
Pandemonium neck
Que hermoso solo hace un video de ese solo
Good vibrato - the true mark of a good lead player as far as I'm concerned.
Guitar yaur voice is beautiful
That neck pickup has a lot more bite and treble than most neck pups the neck pickup on the Vai Jem is also a bit muddy but I don't think Steve uses it in full humbucker mode most of the time I think he uses it split.
Love the ecg inlay.
Nita i like your guitar solos😎🤘🤘🤘

Bridge sounds good.👌🏻
Bravo Nita
Man she's hot! In more ways than one.

Agreed, this guitar looks beautiful! But I'd prefer tone zone with air norton than this.
Love you Nita Strauss
Would a DiMarzio Fast Track 2 play nice with a DiMarzio True Velvet middle ?
Again Larry and Steve design a great pickup!
Nita plays with one less finger than I do and is still better lol. She's a great player.
I saw with Alice Cooper in Mother Of all Rock Festival in Monterrey, N.L., México.
Nice clean sounds
Love Nita! But, I'm confused: Her tone usually seems to have a little more treble, especially on her solo disc. Loved that compressed dark tone.
Nita good lord
DiMarzio Pandemic pickups
lol
They have a sick tone!
I'll leave now...
Not exactly the kind of tone I would go for, it sounds pretty nasally and compressed tbh, what's the record chain used for this demo?
nice squeals outta that neck pickup....very cool...
How does this pickup compare to a Super Distortion?
More mids, less highs, more modern basically.
The Super Distortion is better.
Nice addition. . .shred on
4:45 what this is song ?
Her song Pandemonium
th-cam.com/video/iNij40x2Q9c/w-d-xo.html
Pandemonium by Nita Strauss herself, you can hear it on Spotify :)
thanks 2 you . i like this song . |m|
Nita is a guitar slaying goddess, hands down. Not the biggest Ibanez fan, but... those pickups are SICK!! And only 7 lbs? Might change my mind.
what song did she play at the end?
pandemonium 2.0
I think I heard a bit of a quote from Neil Schon on Journey's "Who's Cryin Now"... She's a damn good guitar player!
I have to try these pups!
I want one of those guitars.
Nita is very easy on the eye. 😍
Ellio1862 hey Dimarzio I found one...
Journey , "Who's Crying Now?"
Heard that too.
Neil Schon kicks ass.
Yep. I heard it.
i want to buy this ..
Sic guitar Nita!
i want that
Are my ears failing me or does that sound fucking amazing!! Gorgeous guitar too.
Great playing, but why does the guitar tone seem so dark? 🤔

@@LarryDiMarzio you ALWAYS help Larry, can you do a "dactivator" style single coil to be used with dactivator x's or in a strat
@@pauloalonso4416 I love it I hate extremely high(for my playing)
What gauge strings are you using here?
Probably 10-46 from D’Addario, and if I remember correctly, she uses that set for D Standard as well.
Yes.... And yes.
Beautiful, intelligent and talented.. Some people have all the luck in the world.
INGSOC no luck....HARD WORK
I must say that bridge pickup is the shit I usually can’t stand bridge pickup single or humbucker
beautifull………..……..and the guitar too
Darn great memory
Very good!.
