- The South Bank Show: Alfie Boe pt4 - take2 with BHH blocked clips removed.
First broadcast on Sky Arts 1 HD on Thursday May 16, 2013.
Tenor Alfie Boe, FRCM (Fellow of the Royal College of Music) talks to Baron Melvyn Bragg about his career, including his work in both classical and popular music, and playing Jean Valjean in Les Mis.
I love the South Bank shows and I guess that I saw the 25th Anniversary production of Les Miserables on PBS before I knew who Alfie Boe was. Another great British find for Americans.
Alfie is a brilliant singer and an actor. I just LOVE this man!!
Thank you so much for these 4 videos I really enjoyed hearing Alfies story
Love re-watching these interviews...so interesting to see how far Alfie has come in his career!
Thank You for sharing.
How is it he's not HUGE? With that voice, how he interprets a song, the width and breadth of his music, that face and that personality, shows and arenas in the States, Japan, Australia, Europe should all be fighting over him.
He should be a 'household name.' Something's wrong here....
"...take2" indeed. Thanks again.
Thank you! Thank you!
Thank you for uploading this again!!
You deserve a bigger cloud when you go to heaven! :P
Thanks so much for uploading this!
Lovely
Alfie as JVJ...perfect! Just let the man SING, ok? Does he have to be pigeon-holed or labeled???
I've seen that video, but it still doesn't make sense to me, unless it is all about the competition between the film and the concert. If that's the case it makes sense, I don't agree, but it makes sense. I found the 25th after seeing the movie and not being able to understand the songs. NBC/Universal is ridiculous, they are cutting off their nose to spite their face. There were a lot of comments comparing Boe vs Jackman. Of course there is no comparison in my eyes.
Thanks again! What is the issue with Alfie's BHH, beyond that it is fabulous?
