I use GoodNotes. Both are pretty great actually. But, being honest even the basic apple notes, does 70% of what these other apps do.

Hey Sumi, hope you are doing great.
Apple pencil 2nd gen works with - iPad Pro and iPad Air 4(Pre-orders started).
Apple pencil 1st gen works with - iPad and iPad mini.
2nd gen pencil has a lot of benefits. It is always magnetically attached to the iPad and charges automatically. Also, one side of the pencil is touch receptive. So you can double tap on the side and your pencil becomes eraser or whatever you customise it to be.
PS - My recommendation would be getting iPad Air 4 with 2nd gen apple pencil. If you already have iPad or iPad mini. Then you would have to go with 1st gen. Performance wise both pencils are exactly same. Except the charging and touch.
