I absolutely love it! I divided the ingredients in four to make just one and placed cheese and a small amount of crushed burger patty before i very carefully folded it in half and sealed it very well. And guess what? I made it in a non stick pan lined with parchment paper folded in four. My gas stove is like a heavy duty kind so I put it on low and covered the pan with a lid. placed another pot filled with water on top to get a better seal. when one side was done, I placed another parchment paper which I had folded in four on top and flipped the pan over my hand which i then carefully placed the bread along with the paper on its other side. cooked it a total of 7.5 min on each side. Switched the flame off every 2 minutes and switched it back on after 1.5 min. never uncovered the lid till it was time to flip. the color on both sides was gorgeous! didnt fall apart or crack or anything. Thanks Janet for this delicious bread recipe! I now have it on my go to recipies list.
That sounds delicious ! I'm so glad you enjoyed this
Sounds awesome❤ I'll try your method. Thanks to you & Janet for sharing this recipe ❤❤❤
Funny! I was thinking about making keto Jamaican bulla 🤣
Butter coconut bread with butter
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Yummy 😋
Thx so much for this. 💗Curious... what is the purpose of putting xanthan gum in after the dough is formed vs mixing it into dry ingrredients?
Thanks again for sharing your creativity with us.
Sometimes I do sift it in with the dry ingredients. It really depends on the recipe. With the bread recipes I feel adding the xanthan gum at the end distributes it more evenly. As soon as xanthan gum hits liquid it immediately begins to gel up. With bread that can make it a little tough instead of light and fluffy
Can't wait to try this. I had never heard of it before seeing your video. Awesome!!
That's great I hope this turns out great for you when you try it
Hello. This looks great! Im dairy free though. Can i use coconut oil instead of butter?
Yes you can use coconut oil instead of butter
This looks amazing! Can't wait to try
Thank you I hope this turns out to your liking when you make it
This looks like it would be good for hand pies
Yes it would be great for hand pies
Omg, thank you, thank you, thank you. Running to the kitchen right now.
You're welcome I hope it is to your liking
They were amazing and the dough was so easy to work with.
@@frappelover6213 That's great. I am so glad they turned out for you
Hello and thank for your great videos. I have a question do I have to use xanthan gum? Is there any other substitute?
You're welcome. If you do not want to use xanthan gum you can use psyllium husk powder or finely ground flaxseed meal.
@JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen can I use whole psyllium husk
looks awesome! cheers
Thank you it made a very tasty sandwich
Can you please make a Barley Bread 🍞 it's also a Keto recipe. Thanks 😊
can i replace coconut milk with regular milk ? can i skip sugar? can i skip the gum?
@@thinkersonly1 You can use any milk of your choice in this. You can adjust or omit the sweetener. You need the gum to keep the bread flexible. You can replace it with konjac powder (glucomannan) gelatin powder or possibly twice as much psyllium husk POWDER.
@@JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen thank you for your advice. By the way love how you teach, so detailed and organized, new big fan :)
@@thinkersonly1 Thank you so much. I'm so glad you have been enjoying my videos
Can you make without mixer and xanthan gum?
You can make this without a mixer. Just use a bowl and spoon and it will be fine. You can do this without the xanthan gum. The xanthan gum is added to keep the dough flexible so you might want to use konjac powder or some other xanthan gum substitute
Have you tried this with other flours like almond?
Unfortunately, coconut flour cannot be substituted for any other flour. It is very absorbent and reacts differently to liquid compared to other flours.
Hello. Thank you for this recipe. Can i substitute psyllium husk for xanthan gum?
Yes you can substitute psyllium husk POWDER or gelatin powder for the xanthan gum. It will effect the texture slightly but will still turn out great
@@JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen equal amounts! I have gelatin and want to make this ASAP. Also, can I leave the sweetener out?
@@wrylife57 yes you can use psyllium husk powder or gelatin powder in equal amounts to replace the xanthan gum. You can omit or change the amount of sweetener to your personal taste
Could they be rolled? or baked in one piece?
Yes you can roll this into one piece and still bake it at the same temperature and time
Is the coconut milk the kind in a can or a carton?
Either one will work but I prefer the one in the can
@@JanetsDeliciousLowCarbKitchen I think I would prefer the one in the can also. Thank you! :)
The thing about coconut flour is that it's not perfect but kills the desire for bread that most people do have once in a while.
Very true
What is the total of grams of coconut flour? Don't you cook on both sides?
I use 98 grams of coconut flour and you do not have to turn this bread. It bakes great without turning. Coconut flour is fragile so turning the bread in the middle of baking can cause it to crumble
can i make this without xanthan gum?
You can replace the xanthan gum with flaxseed meal but it may lack some of the stretch and flexibility that xanthan gum gives
Amazing..thanks
My pleasure
