This was so cool to watch! I've actually never seen a quad before, nor have I ever seen the Cowell dorms. I was just telling a friend the other day that if I didn't get C9 or C10, I would have definitely tried to live at Cowell, the views are AMAZING.

@@Accnews_ Hi! Financial aid for your son will be dependent on your total household income plus any reportable assets you guys have (including your son's income and assets). Here's the FAQ section on the FAFSA website in case it'll help you. studentaid.gov/apply-for-aid/fafsa/filling-out/help Also, I know there are some services that provide FAFSA help for free so I would definitely check with your son's school to see if there's something like that in your area because I received help from a program in my former high school. Best wishes for you and your son! :)
@@Myname-ek6ro hey sorry I missed this! According to the official UCSC statistics page, the mean high school gpa for fall 2022 admits was 4.08. But I think if you have a gpa between 3.5-4.0 you have a good shot. That being said, as far as I know there isn’t a hard requirement in terms of the gpa needed to get accepted because UCSC offers a holistic review that takes into account other areas of your application (extracurriculars, personal essays, etc.). I don't remember the exact gpa but unweighted was somewhere around 3.8 and weighted was around 4.2
