Mine came out very cute. I would use a medium thickness paper if I made another. The light card stock just wasn’t enough. He doesn’t stand up, I would give him some sort of feet to help him sit on a flat surface. Just an adorable design. Where can I share a picture? Instead of velum, I used an opaque window cling and some purple embossing powder to give it some color and more sparkle.
I'm so happy to hear he came out cute. I would love to see him. You can share him with me on Facebook or Instagram I'm @beeskneessvg on both. I cannot wait to see the embossing powder. That is something I'm dying to play around with. And I agree, medium cardstock is ideal. I use 65 lbs and he sits up great. Thanks for your feedback.
Hi! I used Recollections from Michael's for this guy. I get the 8.5x11 50 ct packs because they are so affordable. It's 65 lbs and works great! Unfortunately I don't think he will work on the Joy. The Joy cuts 4.25" wide. This guy is 9.3" wide and 7.1" tall. You can make him smaller, but I think that would be too small to work.
Thanks for the freebie! Could "feet" be added on all black body pieces? I find it doesn't stand up very well with just two "feet". Otherwise, very nice and cute file.
Hi! So glad you like the file. The feet aren't what makes it stand up. If you flip it over and look at the bottom, there are three bars that cross. They should all be flush with each other. The bat stands on those. Mine is very stable even using 65 lb cardstock with a luminary in it. If you want to send me a pic of the bottom of your bat, I'm happy to take a look. You can email it to hello@beeskneessvg.com. Thanks!
Oh my, this is so adorable. Thanks for the freebie!

Amazon has tea lights with a timer: 6hrs on then automatically turns off
That is genius. I didn't know about those. Adding to cart now. Thanks!
What kind of glue did you use?
I use nothing by Bearly Art Glue. My absolute favorite. So good for cardstock projects. Here is a link: amzn.to/3BRmq1Z
