Your reaction is simply beautiful, that's how you react when a song explains so beautifully exactly how you feel and how it speaks to you on a very deep personal level.
You cry, my brother. I cry with you. I lost my dad 8 years ago. He was my hero, my teacher, my mentor, and my best friend (along with my mom, who is going to be 88 soon, with God's grace). Dad loved Josh & he loved this song so much. Peace & love to you & to everyone here, all the way from South Africa. 🕊️❤️🙏🏻💪🏻
My Daddy had been working in law enforcement for 26 years when he unexpectedly passed. I was so close to him. Total "Daddy's Girl". One of the things we bonded over the most was music. This was the last song he ever introduced me to just weeks before he died. Josh Groban was only 19 years old at the time and my Daddy was so impressed by the maturity, control and tone of his voice. This was the song we chose for his funeral services. He's been gone for 18 years but I still love and miss my Daddy like crazy and can't hear this song without thinking of him and tearing up.
Getting moved by powerful music is something special. Check out him singing "Anthem". It's from the musical CHESS and is about a Russian chess player seeking asylum at the British embassy and is asked by reporters why he's deserting his country. The song is his response. It's beautiful.
My father died suddenly, back in 1985, when my brother and I were away at uni and my mother was away visiting relatives. The fact that none of us were there with him when he died has always troubled me. But life can be so unfair and you can't turn back the clock. Just have to do them proud with how you live your life.
Back in October we found out that one of my twins died in the womb and Josh Groban’s song You are Loved (Don’t give up) really helped me. You should listen to it and do a reaction
Josh Groban has one of the most beautiful and powerful voices on the planet, check out the song remember from the movie troy and there is also the unique accapella group pentatonix with their rendition hallelujah, cheers man
I can accept change. What I have trouble accepting is how much NEGATIVE change started creeping through the country (the US) about nine years ago. Josh's career started when he was a teenager. He was on an episode of Ally McBeal. He stood in for Andre Bocelli who was doing "The Prayer' in concert with Celine Dion, but Andre got sick. A friend, David Foster, said he knew someone who could stand in for Andre. SO David walked in with an 17-18 year old (I believe) Josh. In an interview I saw on Josh's channel, they were talking with Celine, and she said when she saw Josh, that she and most of the people there were thinking "This skinny kid is going to step in for one of the most famous singers in the world? Is this a joke?" So they started the song, Celine leading off, and then it was Josh's turn. She said when he started singing, EVERYONE in the auditorium stopped what they were doing, including the musicians, and just STARED, stunned. And Josh has come a long way since them. I saw him in concert twice, one time got to talk a bit with him. He's a genuinely nice guy.
Tears are a release of love and loss. I hope someone loves you (and me) enough to cry when we're gone. I had this played at my mom's funeral too. Hugs to you
I know how you feel. Next month on the eighteenth of February it will be the one year anniversary that my dad passed away. It feels like yesterday for real. I miss him more than words can say He was my best friend, my rock, and my hero. I am lost without him. Beautiful song, and beautiful reaction. It will be a glorious day when we see our dads again.
Lost my Mom to Cancer in 2008. That song still gives me that reaction. Not sure if you have listened to Howard Hewitt - Say Amen? If not give it a listen. Life changes forever, but faith sustains us. God Bless you Youngblood. Your making your Dad proud! Live the life he wanted for you! Love ya !
Both my parents and my oldest sibling are all gone so I know what you're feeling. Seems like I've always been surrounded with loss and having to somehow be strong and keep moving forward. I've spent my whole life caring for people. I was a hospice nurse, worked Hospital duty, made it possible for my patients to pass at home instead of them having to leave their homes, and yes I was there when each of my parent
and my big brother took their last breath. Life has a way of working double duty within all of us. What is meant to break us generally truly is what shapes us,strengthens us, and builds character so that we can face another day. Keep your kind heart and bright soul always cause it's a perfect fit on you. May you and your family forever be blessed
Rick God Bless you hon. I cry every time I hear this song. This song was the song that the Lord reached me through. The last concert I ever went to was Josh's concert. At the time I had just broke up with my bf and I was deeply depressed and I almost didn't make it. I had bought a ticket to Josh's concert so I went alone and the whole time I was watching and listening to this young man with the voice of an angel sing I was crying not because of Josh but because I was in deep pain. On the ride home I put in Josh's CD and this song was up first and I felt God reaching out to me speaking directly to me calling to me. I cried all the way home an hours drive. From that day on I have been a born again believer and have been now for the last 18 years. In the last almost 8 years now I lost the man that I love all 3 of my babies (cats) one as old as 19 years old she was the last and on the heels of losing her I lost my Mother. Plus.... So I know loss I've had so much of it in my life the likes of which is too much to even talk about out here so I'm with you brother I'm with you. Josh Groban has a once in a life time kind of voice listen to his music you'll feel truly blessed by him. There's a lady too you might like her name is Eva Cassidy she passed but her voice lives on. Peace Rick.
Thank you for your emotional reaction to this beautiful song. I lost my husband of 58 yrs 10 months ago and I know what you are going through. You are so right it is a big change to loose a love one. I saw Josh for the first time on PPS. He was introduced by David Foster ( a well known song writer) at that time he was about 17yrs old and his mom had passed. He sang another song in that concert “To where you are “ a tribute to his mother. He has a beautiful voice and that whole concert is well worth checking out. Elvis is still my number one “memories “.
@@angela897094 thank you for correction. Just goes to show you can’t believe everything you hear or for that matter on pop up news on cell phones. When the song You still You was introduced I thought that’s why he sang it for her.
I'm crying and I wish I could give you a hug. ❤❤ Time doesn't heal a loss....You just learn to adapt without them. I miss my grandparents, mom, and friends. It hurts everyday. My grandparents were my best friends, the sunshine I'm my world. I haven't been the same since I lost them. I was blessed though... Crying is good. You're human and very genuine. Keep being you. ❤
I just discovered your channel but if you have not already heard Josh sing To Where You Are it’s basically about losing someone that you love I would also recommend Brooks & Dunn I believe
Music is salve for the soul, and it's helped me get through times of enormous grief. Music lets the tears flow, and that helps bring on healing. Hang in, Bro, and keep listening to the songs that let you release your grief.
Ok, so the Josh Groban band wagon. Some of my favorites include: The Impossible Dream, My Confession, In Her Eyes, Si Volvieras a Mi, and, his duet with Kelly Clarkson, All I Ask of You (from Phantom). There are a ton more, but those are all super amazing! Check some out and enjoy!
Love Josh Groban and all of his songs. He can do pop to opera. Listen to 'You're Still You', 'To Where You Are', 'I Believe When I Fall In Love' and 'The Prayer' with Celine Dion. Also his version of 'O Holy Night' is the best I have ever heard and I love it although I am an atheist.
I think that there are songs where the words have such a powerful sentiment that most people can relate to them, this is one of those songs, this brings tears to my eyes when I think of my late parents and thank them for giving me the best life that they could, your reaction is so sincere and it just takes one song to bring back memories and then the tears will flow❤️
if you’re going to watch “awake”, you need to do “to where you are” after it. another wonderful song people use for lost loved ones. also, i’m probably the best person to go to for josh recommends. i’ve seen him 37 times since 2003 🥰🥰🥰. i have tons of concert footage on my channel
Now I’m crying. It’s funny, my kids are 30 and 27 years old and when they were young teenagers, they banned me from listening to his music bc I would get hysterical 😭. I guess some things never change.
Thank you for the kind words and I hope you're doing well and stay blessed always also. If you like this song then you should listen to Casting Crowns and Calum Scott, "You are the Reason." I hope you listen to them
I cried with you...for you...for the beauty of this song. Grief is a journey. I wish you comfort and healing on your way.
Your heart is so sweet. This song has the same effect on me. God bless.
Your reaction is simply beautiful, that's how you react when a song explains so beautifully exactly how you feel and how it speaks to you on a very deep personal level.
Josh is so great, his voice just like angel.

Josh's mother is alive and well. He played a character on Ally McBeal whose mom had died. Is that what you mean?
