- The review and test of the 2022 Honda PCX 125 Scooter after 10 months of ownership! The 2023 model doesn't have anything different aside from new colors.

I bought an 2018 PCX125 with 1012 miles on it . I've since done over 13000 miles in 18 months on it. Never had any trouble, never gone wrong and I love it. I rode it on a 230 miles round trip and it was great. Would definitely recommend them.

I had a 1982 Honda C70 motorcycle for 10 years that only had 70cc engine, 6 hp, top speed of 50 mph. But even with that old technology, got 120 miles per gallon. 26" wheels made it much more controllable. Power was fine in town, but struggled on few hills in area. Peace
I used to ride a old 50cc called "Mobra 50", My dad had it from when he was young and it was a lot of fun! That one had 4hp!
Yes it's not perfect but let me say the general opinion from Greek delivery guys, this scooter is hard worker, no mechanical problems after many km of work, but yes I agree with your points in general.
I see many of these as delivery scooters here as well! So they must be quite reliable since everyone uses them

Didn't expect a scooter review from you. This week i am planning of ordering Honda Vision 110 which fits my commuting needs. I looking also Honda SH mode but they are so similar I cannot justify the extra 500 euros...
I didn't expect one either :) But I figured it could be useful for someone that may be looking at this scooter. I ordered a Honda CB500X a coup,d of weeks ago...so I am getting that in a few days and trading in the scooter. I wonder if the Vision 110 gets even better gams milage than the pcx!
What you said 100% true. I just bought it 2 weeks ago and it was a huge upgrade from my Honda Scoopy 2020 110cc. Really feel like a boss when I'm riding on it ❤

I'm using the 125cc version of this bike.
In Turkey, the 150cc version has not been brought for 5 years. only 125cc is sold... The 160cc version has never been imported.
The worst part of the Turkish versions is that the rear brakes are drum brakes and there is only a 125cc version.
good sides; Keyless start, 2.5 liters for 100 km (city), 2.0 liters for 100 km (long distance)
Turkey price is currently 4,800 USD

Honda's PCX and Yamaha's Nmax are the most popular 125cc scooters in South Korea these days. PCX is especially known for it's durability and gas mileage while Nmax is known for better acceleration, but lower gas mileage and durability. Both are great scooters for everyday transportation. I've been riding my PCX for 2 years now, put about 53000km on it and I've never had to fix anything. I've only done maintenance every 3000km and it still runs great. Great bike for small~average height people. If you are tall though, better off with higher cc scooters or maybe manual bikes instead. Great for riding in busy traffic, lacking for high speed long distance ride (maybe 20km+). I usually only reach speed upto ~90km/h on dashboard because if you go over 90km/h, the whole scooter begins to vibrate. Oh and Yamaha's nmax has 2 channel ABS system, but Honda only offers front wheel ABS which is a bummer. 2 channel ABS system really makes a big difference

@redskul. At 13.46 why did you throttle and brake at the same time? In CVT transmissions doing that will damage the clutch plates isn't it?
Just to demonstrate the exhaust sound. Plus i had to hold the break because I in front of me there was a 50m drop :)
we have pcx 160 here in Asia. dang bang for buck and 1 of the best performing moped/scooter in the market for it's category. european model have the PCX 125 only lil bro of our 160 version.
The 160cc would have been the sweet spot for this scooter! I don’t think I would mind a 250cc version of it as well… but of course the bigger the engine the higher the cost
PCX150 is actually a better choice, barely any difference between it and the 160

Great scooter and review! I have the same in gray/blue color. The vibration is mostly like from the plastic panel which is between the headlight and the windshield, thats were i found mine was vibrating from. For windshield i got the Ermax sport turing (53cm, product code: ST01T18-03) and its working good for me, i am 1.75 and i can feel the wind only on my head, but not at all on my chest. Also, for the headlight, maybe you need to adjust it. Im saying that because mine is lighting great veeeery far, even better than my car.I used to have other scooters and super motards and pcx's lights are superb in compare with everything else i had in the past. Try to adjust it, im sure you will like it much more.

Yes you can
Very good and realiable, I have de 2021 model, but if you scratch it, the color code (written inside the box) doesn’t help you. The Honda dealers don’t paint them, you have to order to the manufacturer the pieces which come already painted but are very very expensive (300-400-500€ / one piece).
I’ve seen so many that are all scratched up… I guess that explains why nobody is replacing the parts that get scratched! I didn’t know. Thanks for sharing!
@@RedskullPro they are workhorses for many food deliveries etc i saw one for sale with 75 ,000 miles on it for £1000 . they have an excellent reputation for reliability . typical HONDA .
How stable is the handlebar with the top box on when riding high speed? Do you feel any wobbling or shaking on handlebar?
I haven't experienced any wobbling even with the top box fully loaded and riding around 90km/h

I didn’t change anything because the bike is under factory warranty for 5 years.
I am aware that the PCX models for 2022 and 2023 are identical. However, could you kindly specify which component distinguishes one from the other?
Just the paint, Even that depends from market to market...

First service is at 1000km.
What about the quality of the body material? We are here in Indonesia to get a 160cc engine with a starting price of around 2000$, but the material is very bad, the material is getting downgraded, it has only been used for a year, many body panels are vibrating and loose rattle and many problems such as the waterpump on the seepage radiator and the engine is very vibrating when the iddle, I think the price here is very cheap because with 2000$ it has got complete features and a good design

Is it good or not for Daly traveling up to 100 miles???
For 100 miles daily I would only recommend it if it’s in town riding. If that daily ride involves highways you need something with a bigger engine
what is the difference between the 2023 model and the 2022 or 2021
No difference aside from different colours every year. Either than that nothing changed between the 2021 and 2023 models

Try the PCX150 same bike more power. I had one. Loved it. Our Nanny govt now wont import the 150.
Either this ot the Forza 125 are my favorite Scooter. Will get one of them when I can expand my drivers license in 2 years.
The forza is nicer but also more expensive...If you have the money by all means...if not the pcx is great
It depends on what you want. For a long term, good value purchase the Honda is the best.
would this scooter be suitable for a tall person (6'5")?
I am 6’1 and I did look a bit big on it… but that’s the case with most 125cc scooters. I’m sure you can use it at 6’5 as well
I rode the sister bike 150 I am 6'2 and it felt good for me. Should do you OK.

I ordered a Honda CB500X; mostly because we want to do longer trips that involve some more highway driving

the 2022 pcx can fit 1 full-face helmet and 1 half face helmet under the seat :) you just have to try a bit harder

@@RedskullPro I used to get 116 out of the PCX150 but I am a biggish guy. This shouldn't be more than 5k's slower.
Thanks for this review! I have the same pcx. Do you also have try to put Dr pulley sliders in your variator? Maybe for hill climbs it's a lot better. Definitely with two persons on it
Since it’s under factory warranty I didn’t attempt to change/modify anything on it. Plus im trading it in next week for a bigger motorcycle

It’s definitely not local assembly, but I couldn’t tell you where it was made without checking the stickers on it

wish this was an electric scooter. have been hoping you'd review roadworthy electric bikes/scooters for a while.
The range on the electric ones is still pretty limited… i looked into getting the Seat Electric Scooter… but €6500 and 120km range… come on…

There's loads of pcx in the USA. 150 and 160.
I have a full license, and own a z900, and a mt09. Both are amazing but it doesn’t fail to impress me how good and fuel efficient this little scooter is, just ordered the new 2023 model in the new grey color scheme.
For in town riding a scooter is unbeatable!
have had big bikes ,small bikes ,and pick up my new pcx125 in matt blue next wednesday march the 1st. had a new 2020 model and it was great so this one with 4 valve engine ,new frame , wider tyres different dash should be excellent . i never carry a passenger ,am now 74 and my wife has her own vespa ,she is 72 and we ride locally together ,living the dream.

here in the uk 125 ,due to licencing laws . 17 year old can ride on L plates for 2 years after completing Compulsery basic training . i have had a full licence for many years.
