+Sorrowful Soul Israel is not supporting ISIS and Alqaeda.. those organizations hate Israel. I served in the Israeli army man, I have some idea what Israel is doing (Israel does help injured people who get to the Syrian border whoever they are, but we do it because of the chance they are civilians. We DON'T want to help organizations like ISIS and Alqeda who hate Israel very much). I am 50% Iraqi Jew, and I am glad you have good opinion about Jews. You should know that the people of Israel want to live in peace and friendship with you and all of our neighbors :) But you must understand something about the Jews - we are the children of the Jews who were exiled 2,000 years ago from the kingdom of Jehuda by the Roman Empire. The kingdoms of Israel and Jehuda exited for 1,000+ years, and in those kingdoms people like king Solomon and David lived.. And ever since the exile, the Jews all over the world always hoped that one day they could return to their homeland and reestablish their old kingdom of Israel/ Jehuda. So please understand that for the Jews the rebirth of the kingdom of Israel/ Jehuda 68 years ago is a dream that came true after 2,000 years of exile. Jews who live in Israel don't see themselves as refugees from the countries where they lived during exile.. they see themselves as people who returned home after 2,000 years. They don't want to go back! But we do want as I said to have peace and friendship with all the people near us. We don't want wars and hate. Israel and the Muslim/ Arab world can live in friendship and peace.
***** hi Tomar, sorry in advance if i wrote your name by mistake but i believe it is pronounced like tomar! first of all, we all are human beings and that what makes us smart creatures that we constantly think and change our opinions based on facts and logic. i wrote that comment like back in two years.. you know you hear people here and there, you read some comments on internet ,but most of all i was frustrated by "news agencies" based information about Israel helping to Syria "rebels" in it's civil war. i just found no logical reason for that except that Israeli government was making it's best in helping everyone in their fight in the region for obvious reasons. now, i believe that what's happening here and in syira is all the fault of accumulated ignorance and hate of bigoted generations that the fact is that arabs were fighting all the time even before the birth of state of israel. even if israeli soldiers and troops were trained to fight terrorism and secure israeli borders that won't make it less obvious that the israeli government relations with saudi arabia and other arab countries in helping irritating these bigoted communities and bring them to life again. i still have all regards and love for iraqi and non iraqi jewish people in fact i felt i have some jewish blood since i was a kid but after learning that one can be born jew not becomes one i was really disappointed haha. i hope you'll get your peace or "piece" with the arabs but really...really..i wasn't sure of something like this would ever happen in this time and life but now after isis i can guarantee you that the IDF is most welcomed where i live to help them in getting rid of islamists! see? things can change..and Israel, victim or aggressor is doing a great job.
Sorrowful Soul Hey. Thx for you comment. Its Tomer though :P (my name means "palm tree" in the Hebrew bible). I am glad your opinion about Israel became more positive. Edit: sorry for the very long comment. Look, Israel isn't 100% innocent, but we are not terrorists and we are not on their side. I can't tell you things in too many details because there is immunity about most of the things I know from my military service, but I can tell you the big picture and I am sincere when I speak to you. Ok, so lets start from what I know for sure. Israel see organizations like ISIS, Al Qaede, or most of the Syrian rebels, as enemy organizations. That's the way they are considered in the Israeli army, and the army even have plans regarding situations where they attack Israel. But there's another thing - the ones they are fighting are also considered enemies by Israel! the Syrian regime for example, is obviously considered an enemy by Israel, and in fact until the civil war it was the strongest armed force in a state of war with Israel (since we have peace treaty with Egypt and Jordan). So, if we are looking at this in the coldest way possible without thinking about things like all the innocent people who died in Syria, the civil war in Syria wasn't a bad thing for Israel. In terms of the country security, Israel is actually more secure now: one of our major enemies, Syria, is dismantled, organizations like Hizballah who attack and fight Israel in normal times are busy in the civil war and are not threatening the Israeli people now, countries like Iran and Syria who fund terror organizations like Hamas in billions of dollars are short of money because they need to spend much in the civil war, and more. You must understand that Israel is pretty much alone and hatred by anyone in the region, so the best situation for us is when our enemies fight one another. When they don't, they usually focus on us. If you think about it it is one of the few things that unite all the organizations who fight in Syria - all of them hate Israel. They hate each other too, but they all hate Israel. (Well not all of them - the Kurds don't hate Israel, and it would actually be nice from an Israeli point of view to see a Kurdish state - because they are pretty much the only fighting force there who really don't hate Israel). Israel is not all powerful. We don't have the ability, even if we wanted, to create organizations like ISIS in the middle of hostile (to Israel) countries. As you said, Muslims were fighting one another many centuries before the creation of Israel, and it has mostly to do with things like Sunnis vs Shias. (or hatred between tribes, and similiar things). So people who think that Israel created or control organizations like ISIS are (obviously) wrong and delusional. The wars in the Muslim world always start alone, not because of Israel. We don't have the power to start them either. However as I said, Israel isn't innocent either. I'll give you an example. After the revolution in Iran in 1979, Iran became an enemy country to Israel, instead of an alley like they were before it. Quickly after, Iran - Iraq war started. In this war, both Iraq and Iran at the time hated Israel completely and were enemies of Israel, and the generals in Israel decided that we should adopt the tactic of helping both sides, because "as long as they fight one another, they don't fight us". During that war, Israel always sold weapon to the losing side, so he won't lose. It is kind of absurd but since they were at war both Iran and Iraq were willing to buy weaponry (sometimes in indirect ways) from Israel. So does Israel have similiar tactic in Syria? Maybe. I don't know everything, but I was exposed to allot of secret intelligence and information regarding Syria in my service (I served in an intelligence unit) and I am almost 100% sure that Israel don't sell weaponry to or actively support organizations in Syria/ Iraq/ etc that way. What I am sure about is that Israel also don't do anything active to *stop* those organizations - for example, we let them fight near the Israeli border without attacking them, because we have an unwritten agreement with them that as long as they don't attack Israel, they won't be attacked. In other words, Israel maybe isn't actively supporting those organizations and *surely* don't see them as allies, but the whole situation where they and the Syrian regime fight one another is generally good for the security of Israel, and we try not to interrupt our enemies when they are fighting. But let me tell you one thing - what Israel really wants, and also needs (it will help Israel very much), is friends in the region. We are currently the isolated guy with no friends that everyone hate in the region, and this situation (from many obvious reasons, both economical and security reasons) is bad for a country. Basically, Israel survive only because it is strong - countries like Egypt and Jordan and Syria already lost 4+ wars against Israel, but they survived. But if Israel will lose 1 war - we will die. Me and my children and all my family. I think that's one of the reasons the Israelis make good soldiers - because we know it is our lives and the lives of our families we are fighting for. There's no escape. That's another reason why, from cold point of view, the conflicts in Syria and Iraq (that came to Israel as a surprise btw) and the whole region opened a unique opportunity for Israel - suddenly people in the region don't see us as the worst enemy, and even (like you described yourself) might see us as something good. Or aother example, countries like Saudi Arabia and Egypt and Jordan are suddenly much more friendly to Israel. The Sisi regime in Egypt is the most Israeli friendly one in many years (actually ever). What I am saying is that there is no nature law that Israel and the people of other middle east countries like Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, etc will be in war. The people of Israel, and the country itself, have no hate for the people of those countries. Israel needs and wants friends in the region, and will be friendly to everyone willing to be friendly back. That's pretty much the theme that shape the Israeli foreign policy in the region. If the regimes countries like Syria and Iraq will be suddenly friendly to Israel, Israel will become super friendly to those countries in on second. The reason why Israel don't have hate toward the Muslim countries is simple - we have claim only to the land of Israel. We don't have any claims to places like Iraq or Egypt. But many people in the Muslim world in the other hand see Israel as an occupier of the land which once was Muslim. That's why there's no symmetry - Israel is willing to have friendship with the Muslim countries in the first second they'll want to have friendship with us, but the Muslim countries usually have ideological resistance to the very existence of Israel. And I'll end it in personal way - there are so many amazing places to visit in the middle east, in many countries like Egypt and Iraq and Jordan and more.. and it's really a shame we live so close by, yet we could never visit those places. I would also be happy to visit Iraq once and see the place where my grandparents lived. I hope that maybe I would be still alive (probably old man, and right now I am a only in my 20's) when that day comes, the day when Israel will be in peace with all its neighbors and we could visit all the wonders of the middle east :)

I am 50% Iraqi Jew, and I am glad you have good opinion about Jews. You should know that the people of Israel want to live in peace and friendship with you and all of our neighbors :)
But you must understand something about the Jews - we are the children of the Jews who were exiled 2,000 years ago from the kingdom of Jehuda by the Roman Empire.
***** hi Tomar, sorry in advance if i wrote your name by mistake but i believe it is pronounced like tomar!
first of all, we all are human beings and that what makes us smart creatures that we constantly think and change our opinions based on facts and logic.
i wrote that comment like back in two years..
you know you hear people here and there, you read some comments on internet ,but most of all i was frustrated by "news agencies" based information about Israel helping to Syria "rebels" in it's civil war.
i just found no logical reason for that except that Israeli government was making it's best in helping everyone in their fight in the region for obvious reasons.
now, i believe that what's happening here and in syira is all the fault of accumulated ignorance and hate of bigoted generations that the fact is that arabs were fighting all the time even before the birth of state of israel.
even if israeli soldiers and troops were trained to fight terrorism and secure israeli borders that won't make it less obvious that the israeli government relations with saudi arabia and other arab countries in helping irritating these bigoted communities and bring them to life again.
i still have all regards and love for iraqi and non iraqi jewish people in fact i felt i have some jewish blood since i was a kid but after learning that one can be born jew not becomes one i was really disappointed haha.
i hope you'll get your peace or "piece" with the arabs but really...really..i wasn't sure of something like this would ever happen in this time and life but now after isis i can guarantee you that the IDF is most welcomed where i live to help them in getting rid of islamists!
see? things can change..and Israel, victim or aggressor is doing a great job.
sorry if i said it in an aggressive way but really i wanted to be honest with my opinion to you Tomar. shalom :)
Same story happened to the Soviet Jews in 1990
Amazing man the world needs more people like him :)
Why aren't the writings of NAEIM, (NA'IM), GILADI, (THE JEWS OF IRAQ), and, (BEN GURION'S SCANDALS: How the Haganah and the Mossad Eliminated Jews), not included under the Title. (The Jews of Iraq)?!
Remember Farhud? Yes? No?
You really have no grasp of Iraq's history. The Farhud is a drop in the ocean of what has happened to Iraqis of all ethnicities and faiths since the dawn of time. Stop weaponizing the Farhud to justify the business deal of kicking the Iraqi Jews out of their homes of 2000+ years.
@@natepb5426 Jews were a diaspora since 2000 years, Israel is their native homeland. If the Romans didnt kick- and persecute them, they’d still live there today 🤷🏻♀️
@@monikaa3587 - Doesn't mean they all wanted to return though. There are so many Jews that live outside of Israel today. I don't see them making a mass Aliyah. The Iraqi Jews were FORCED, and this shouldn't have happened. Their homes and synagogues of 2000+ years are still empty and abandoned.
@@natepb5426 I agree with you on this
Farhud occurred in 1941, only people over 90 years old can remember it first hand.
I felt really touched by his words, specially how they came to Israel and how it was a deal between Zionists and Iraqi government. Few days ago, I read about Yemeni Jews migration to Israel and the struggle they faced, their kids who disappeared (died/kidnapped??) , the discrimination against them... etc. Sad.
In Israel's first 30myears there was apartheid agains all the Jews who came from arab-muslim countries.
There was oppression enslavement and discrimination against them those who suffered the most were Yemenite, maroccan and Iraqi Jews.
It ended in 1978 when menachem begin went to power.
Palrstinians cant hurt us. That didnt age well
Amazing
Well he was wrong about the embassies

It's Iraq who betrayed jews
Is it possible to talk about rassicm between Ashenazy and Mizrahim jews because I saw a lot of your videos and whenever a jew with a heritage from muslim country talks about the good past or good contact with their muslims neighbour there were some others who tries to interfere and to say somenthing like oh come on dude you are wrong in your thoughts u were just enemies in your previous countries and that where mostly in my eyes jews with an Ashkenazie heritage
